  1. Solid idea: Stop partying, don’t wait, and maybe it’s easy. You got an a priori “ME” which is happy, then sad, then excited, then broken. You are acting out that “character, and that character is acting as another character. Cut the one in the middle out, it exists only as a means to have arrived to this very moment. Stop reading this. SEE IT. This moment, right now. It’s an illusion. There wasn’t a past like you thought there was. There is no future like you think there is. You just started, just now. You just got here. And you have everything you need for this adventure. But the adventure only takes place NOW. Go to the past or future in your mind, believe that shit again - and you are OUT of NOW. NOW, you can be anything, anyone. NOW. You hearing this? Do you feel the difference between NOW, and your thoughts about a past & future? IS your heart in this, NOW? There’s seven billion people lost in past and future thoughts, suffering, just waiting for YOU to show them the now. But it is substanceless, propertyless, unidentifiable, elusive. So you have to show it, by being in it. You are an actor. You are not lost in thought of past & future, that’s audience stuff. You’re not the audience. You are alive. You are an actor. Unfuckup this dream, now. Meditate for an hour a day, on faith alone, cause you don’t even know you’re lost in thought. Start yoga. Read more on these things, on acting, on emotion, etc. Stop wasting Now. Realize you’re already creating this, start steering it. THAT, feels sad af, because you already know what you want. You already know you can do it. Continue not doing it, you’ll continue to feel sad. Have someone slap you accross the face. Hard. The naked man sings to wake you up. Get some Shakespeare, stand on street, act. Expereince. Alone, though everyone appears there. Create it.
  2. @littleBIG There’s no journey, no past (that’s repetition of thoughts, a conditioned mind) and there’s no future (that’s repetition of thoughts, a conditioned mind). Without time, no journey, just now. Cut the shit, sit down, ask why you’re spending now “paralyzed with fear”. See how it is this is self imposed. Don’t push through, don’t suffer through, don’t think that is how it is supposed to be, and some accomplishment or obtaining of a future endeavor will make you feel better. It will not. It will still be now. Don’t wait till it gets so bad. Root out the fear now. See how this serious view is the set up, to the punchline of realizing, you have been saying it’s serious, not the meaningless objects, just maya. What you want is wholeness, “aliveness”, vibrancy, JOY. You ARE that. But there are beliefs being held, added, that “block that” - “cover it up”. Identified as other than that, as a brain body, and that is perpetuating the brain’s attempt to resolve this “problem”, with THOUGHTS like, “oh, but success will make me happy” “better be successful so I don’t have regrets in the future”. You have zero direct experience of “future”, and complete direct expereince of now. Obviously, put how you feel NOW, first. Stop that thing you want to stop doing, the thing which is wasteful of energy and focus. Start the thing that you already know is what you want to start. Chris Cornell, highly “successful” right? No. Anthony Bordain, highly “successful”, right? No. Success is only, NOW, or not at all. Sit, Now, write down what you really want, Now. Sit down and breath from your stomach. Discover the paradox you are, in which silence asnwers all such questions. UNTIL you feel some relief, some release. Not a second before. You think you have a lot to do. You’re gonna die. You do not have a lot to do. You have a lot you get to do. I know this guy really well, who sought relationship love to no peace, then he became a self made millionaire to no peace, then he ate unabashedly to no peace. Then he sat. Until it dawned, “I am peace”. I bring peace to all things. He says he’s happier now, hollow & fulfilled, dead & alive, drunk in the unseen, peace relishing chaos. Living unconditionally, without conditions held in the mind of past regrets, or future worries. Free, Now. Vibrant. In peace. He is you. Love ya,
  3. Sleep: pure consciousness (everything). Awake: pure illusion (Nothing) So right as you’re waking up, the transition happens, or, the veil goes back on. There’s a quick re-acclamation of identity, and we call that a dream. When the day to day is realized as dream, there are no more dreams at night, no mind needing to resolve “two states”, as there are not states anymore. One state was ‘everything’ or ‘things/objects’ and a separate “me”, the other nothing. But they are the same. “ I “ am nothing. Nothing dreams. Nothing is the dreamer. Nothing is awake. Wakefulness is Nothingness. There is nothing to resolve, but a dream body/mind might is dreaming ‘thinking’ (seeking enlightenment) and imposing there is something to resolve, something to realize. The imposing can not be resolved, there is not really an ‘imposer’ (identity), and there is not any ‘thing’ to impose upon, or use relatively, to identify a “you”. There is just You.
  4. @Feel Good Everyone one of us either has gone through what you’re going through right now, or we are, or we will. This is Old Boy, the old race horse that’s been kicked too much and runnin too long. You gotta put em down man. He’s a tough bastard, he got ya this far, but you gotta put him down. Nobody’s meant to carry that for that long. Stomach breathing. Awareness returns. Back in the now. Less this More this
  5. @Vitamine Water Stomach breathe (consciously) return to it when you realize you’re ‘lost’ in thoughts (unconscious). If it’s work you love, maybe a retreat is in order? Inject a mindfulness boost? If it’s work you don’t love, ime, make a plan towards what you want to do more. The work at hand as a stepping stone reduces any sense of over importance on the job, adds more value & interest, and easily lifts your mood, which enhances your attention. Anything we’re doing is more worthwhile when it’s a part of a bigger, on purpose, plan. The plan manifested on paper, rather than floating in imagination, frees the mind up for more presence now. After a few minutes of stomach breathing, internally step back, and solve the riddles (why each thought arises), as they’re presented, one by one. I believe there is a falsity in perspective for every arising thought, and that they arise as an attempt to resolve this (monkey mind), a perpetual re-convincing / re-veiling. Many arise due to an attachment to the a priori I, and in it’s defense. These excessive thoughts are very taxing on attention and energy. Without these, thought in tune with focus on task at hand, is enjoyable, closer to single pointed focus / flow. The bigger plan / higher purpose is important to the focus / flow as well. Socially, we tend to lung breathe (unconscious), lost to thoughts of what others could be thinking (fear) - the loss of mindfulness you describe is being ‘spent’ here. Daily morning meditation. It takes a while for the body to stomach breath by default, but it’s worthwhile. There is a ‘spaciousness’ or aura which the body realizes. This might take months but who cares right? The social thought loop is typically “ I “ thoughts, associated with comparison and judgement, to ‘other I’s’. It not resolvable with more “ I “ thought. Instead, see that every person is needing some love, or giving some love. Give unconditional love in your awareness as often and as deeply as possible. Also, consider, arguably, the main focal point of practices like meditation & yoga, is to get doing something which causes a need to consciously stomach breathe. It’s really underestimated. Learning to sing is great for this too. You can be getting a lot of ‘the work’ done wherever you are. I trust you’re singing in your commute... ‘pitching’ from the diaphragm? ? “Where the thinking subsides, the awareness abides” - Johnny Cochran https://www.mindful.org/how-to-practice-mindfulness/
  6. “If you see the Buddha in the road, kill him” The buddha knows that to you, he is an illusion, so it’s a pointer to return to the inquiry of self, rather than follow what is being told, or a person it is told by, which can feed into more delusion that the buddha was separate to begin with.
  7. @Strikr Went to the void, heard you there. Sorry I didn’t before. If you can see me not as a ‘moderator’ or ‘teacher’, but as the same, would you please help me with how I could have stated that (above) more simpler, more accessibly? Thank you
  8. Fair enough. You know I love ya, and I sure hope you know how much I love & appreciate ever word you type, I really, really do. Perhaps this maya appears critical, but also, perhaps not. What if, in self discovery, the mind could not possibly be too critical? What if loa encompasses materialism, and the paradigm of true / false, as does nonduality. Would desire not be an entirely different magnitude, than limited to thought of desiring material objects? Is there a stratosphere where thought and wisdom appear to take place, appearing in the actuality of only One? What if this can be “checked”, but only by a “checker” who desires to check, and what if upon “checking”, an otherwise unfathomable unification occurs, which encompasses true / not true, right and wrong, me and you, techniques & practices, desire / no desire, desire to love / denial that to love is desire and desire is love, any thing “internal” or “external” / no thing “internal” or “external” - and the “checker” is what’s checked? What if there is mistaking self appearing as “things” which could ever be a substitute for divine love, and there are no longer “things”, but all things are already self, divine love. Is it not always the eye of the beholder? Is there an off switch for the collapse? Is there not the possibility of the disappearance of anything external, revealing a ‘substitute’ was never a possibility, but only a thought? Is it not possible that you have created the entire universe, the appearance of “reality”, using only loa, and perhaps, through the simplicity of unchecked involuntary breathing, have maintained the appearance of a separate “me” person, from a “me” source? Is it a possibility, that there is no such thing, ultimately, as ‘surrender’, as you, are already, that which could be surrendered to - that which only in thought, could be “surrendered to”, as “surrender” transpires, in thought? Is it possible that there is no such thing as a “future”? That you are already manifesting all that is experienced - so effortlessly, so divinely, using only your divinity, that you could not even realize you are doing it? Is it possible, that you are so convincing in your appearance of reality, that though there appears to be a past & future, there is only you, now? What if loa was bigger, deeper, more powerful than thought of desire & materialism? What if every person was well aware, no longer asleep - creating their own reality? Would we see a society such as we currently do? The competing, the division, the appearance of separation - the ego? What if, the appearance of separation was understood, and accepted - a given - not on the thought, human, level - but on the reality level? What if each is not a person in appearance, but rather each is a reality in appearance? That would mean there is no objective reality. In every person being aware they are the one, every person aware they are the dreamer & the dreamt - would there still be anything left to fear? How could there be fear, when one is already that? Would a world without fear see desire as simplistically limited to materialism? Would the One then experience a new, unbounded experience of appearing realities unified in understanding that transcends even faith? Is that possible? What if loa is not the subject to be checked - but rather the mind which attempts to check it? Possibilities, that’s all I’m proposing. We are in love, and therefore we are in complete agreeance. From the depth of my heart man, I cherish such conversations in which we, together, come to know our self. Thank you Solace!
  9. Did these understandings come from a teacher (which one?), from thought, from contemplation? Also, to connect this to the thread on the spirituality video (haven’t watched it yet)...was turquoise orange previous to turquoise? If turquoise, let’s say, awakens a thousand people, through unconditional love, was this turquoise person egoic as orange, but not as turquoise? If not, what makes that make sense?
  10. @NoSelfSelf Might want to try em without intention / expectation first.
  11. @NoSelfSelf Have you taken any before?
  12. @Kosmos “Gauranteeing as a right” - seems obvious now, very nice! Great vision. Not sure society could fail us, it is us. Thanatos didn’t “fail” imo. I don’t think he sees it that way either. Wonder if it will ever be possible that there are so many more rights, that the system of laws and rights would be unnecessary, an enlightenment tipping point maybe. It sure wouldn’t hurt to have more feminine influence in society. The moderator comment...sorry....yes I’m a moderator, happy to be, just not so much a status in the sense there are levels, or ranking, more keepin an eye on name calling, pretending we know stuff, spam, etc.
  13. @Kosmos Yes welcome to the forum, great to meet you, yada yada ? You make some great points there. Sounds like we are aware one can only fail one’s self, which is mystical on it’s own I suppose. I think I was taking mystical as in absolute, rather than paranormal / inconsistent reality. How many meditators have a nondual experience is a fantastic question. In that light, I totally see and agree with where you’re coming from. It’d make a great pole. Just for the record, I am not a moderator.
  14. @Lynnel If you become enlightened, what do you think would be different? What would you do diffferently? What would you hope for in terms of change? (I realize I’m asking you to speculate)
  15. @Shogun Holy fucking shit man.
  16. @Kosmos Mysticism doesn’t answer questions, but uncovers the limitations of ‘knowing’. If it answered the question, it wouldn’t be mystical. No?
  17. @Thanatos13 You are creating your own reality. Prove me wrong.
  18. @Strikr Yes, of course they’re the same. It is also worthwhile to create a difference. The difference I see is conversationally (forum) answers are coming from maya, and usually heard, occasionally understood, and rarely realized, - most often reinforcing the illusion, but in contemplation, answers arise from the “higher self” or “higher consciousness”, the contemplator realizes the falsity of the question, rather than mulling over choices of answers (which could go on forever). Though what’s at play is consciousness, and the creation of your own reality. The likelyhood of discovering that, and realizing it on the forum is pretty low, as the attention is on thought. The likelyhood of realizing this in contemplation, is inevitable. This is why I suggest the distinction of lower, and higher, in practice. Most of what you wrote there, I struggle to understand, sorry. It sounds accusatory, but of what I am not sure.
