People who believe people have awareness or consciousness.
-
Awareness is aware of thought, perception, and sensation. What is the ‘you’ that is being built up? Which is arrogant? Which knows about spiral dynamics etc? Is that ‘you’ within sensation? Do you see that ‘you’? Take the focus off what you’re saying for a while, and look for, inspect, in a literal sense, what you’re talking about.
-
Be more interested in what is true, than what you believe you are right about.
-
@Tim R Yes basically. A thought arises that there is that, and the direct experience is that there isn’t a that. “Direct experience” is a term which points, and kind of ends there. The “experience of no experience” isn’t even an experience. There isn’t and never has been such a definable ‘thing’ as experience. This is the plot of The Wizard Of Oz. You wanna be smart? You already are, you were just thinking you aren’t. You wanna be brave? You already are. You wanna have a heart? You already do. You wanna hang out with Lollipop Kids and flying monkeys? Take a psychedelic.

What’s a ‘they’? -
What’s realized is that there isn’t, which also isn’’t realized per se.
-
@fopylo Try letting a few thoughts go, and reading what’s being said a few times. Express that fourth or fifth thought rather than the first. ??
-
@fopylo Nobody needs to change. Everything’s perfect just as it is. If you have a problem with that, it is you saying there is a problem with what is actual, with what is, and thus if there is suffering, it is yours and you are creating it.
-
@fopylo Feeling is as much a task as breathing.
-
Same way you are. You weren’t changing, inspecting, questioning... and you witnessed an example of someone who was...and now you are. Now it’s your turn to be that example for someone else.

Infinite Mind. The lens of the finite mind. A magnifying lens makes things seem magnified, and the experience is magnification. Through the lens of the finite mind non local experiences locality, infinity experiences space, infinite intelligence experiences thoughts, infinite potentiality experiences concepts. By appearing convincingly tangible. You’re being ‘it’, to experience. Like having a dream at night and noticing you’re nowhere to be found... and realizing it’s because you’re being the dream. When the dream is over, it’s clear it was your dream. This is why awakening is called awakening. How could there be awakening if you were not first asleep? And if you are asleep, that means you’re dreaming right now. Awakening would be realizing this...real...I...is...this. Thought attachment. The thought ‘human’ is not perception, but we get accustomed to believing our thoughts literally label separate things. Like watching a movie, the actors would be talking about ‘things’, but you’d be aware the actuality of the whole of the experience, is actually the appearance of a screen. Nonduality means not two, such that there is not one thing which possesses a second thing. Mindfulness is noticing the difference. There is the thought ‘mine’, but there is no actuality of separation. -
@Heaven When discord is already present & felt... what people might think, if they’ll relate or understand, if they’ll accept, and the ‘process’ of ‘resolving’ this in thinking leads back to that discord, which is between truth and the thoughts, not a person and another person, not one’s thought’s on another’s potential or possible thoughts. The psychedelics are no different. They’re attentive to what other people might think like a steam roller is attentive to an ant.

@5-D - L O V E Yes, that direction is likely not reaction.
-
@Vrubel Integrity is between you and source, not you and others.

Your parents. Coping is in a way, masking & compensating for your suffering. Don’t cope, feel the suffering. When you go that route, changing the way you’re looking at the situation is inevitable. If you don’t, you’re doing the same thing they’re doing. Do they have an example of someone not coping, not suffering? What if they did? At least they’d have an example, at least they’d be aware it’s possible. This example / analogy just came up on a session and seems applicable... what if your parents were cutting their hands with knives? Do you think there is anything you could say, which would somehow be more convincing, than the pain they are feeling? Maybe what you really want, is for them to listen to their suffering, to not continue coping. If so, to not be hypocritical, that means you gotta do that. If you don’t cope, and just feel that burn... you’re gonna notice that burn is related to certain thoughts & perspectives, which are not resonating with the true nature. It’s likely you’ll then proceed to do all kinds of things to change how you feel, your consciousness, your state, your level, etc. When none of that works, you’ll change your perspective. We are on the path with the first breath of life, long before we can walk. It’s not a choice. Listening to the suffering or not, is the choice.
-
@fopylo You want them to feel better, but why would they listen to you? You sound miserable.
-
@fopylo No. It’s one option.

Nahm replied to Eren Eeager's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Eren Eeager When you state it as it is, ‘my suffering’ (not ego, God, etc) then you’re positioned to focus on what feels good to you. You’re not focusing for ‘an ego’ or ‘a God’, just you. Then none of the assumptions, rationalizing, justifying, etc, arise. -
@Vido Very nice.

It’s just thought attachment. Meditation is usually recommended. Doesn’t have anything to do with experiences, sans the experience of thought attachment. -
Nahm replied to Eren Eeager's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Eren Eeager Think about anything else. Literally, anything that feels good to you. Poof. No more suffering. -
There is actually. It’s understanding the emotions you’re creating & experiencing. Some of the thoughts are aligned with the true nature, and some are not, and you feel this. If you justify thoughts & perspectives which are in discord with the true nature, what you’re justifying is the continuation of the discord. Re-acting is acting the same as you have been, experiencing the same emotions over and over, by holding the same beliefs about yourself. Thinking about good & evil and God when you’re suffering emotionally, is like sitting in lava philosophizing about Jupiter.

You’ve moved expressively from jealousy, but stopped at blame. Keep moving up the scale. Jealousy doesn’t produce anxiety. It’s relieving, better feeling, than unworthiness and powerlessness. Go up the scale as you expression each emotion, not down. It’s blame...express that this blaming leaves you worrying and doubting, and continue up the scale. Maybe they feel their thoughts and you’re feeling yours.
-
@fopylo One option is to change how you’re thinking.
