  1. @Fran11 Are you talking about yourself or your idea of yourself, such as in a future...? It’s easy enough to compare an apple to an orange, but how are you comparing your baseline to your levels... without leaving presence / direct experience / actuality, ‘going into’ mental abstractions of a you in a past or future? Where does a you even get these baselines and levels... let alone who’s doing the ‘locking in’? Sounds like you’re believing comparative thoughts, as if actually comparing yourself to... yourself...? If the ‘next few levels’ are in a future.. you can see the future? Maybe that is present experience... just being mistakenly identified with? Misinterpreting thought (appearance) by believing self referential thought. What is it like to experience ‘a couple years’? To be ‘in time’?
  2. Why in the world do you want someone icy & cold to stick around? Now it kinda sounds like you’re judging them... which is a bit icy & cold. Comparisons dilute, rather than unify.
  3. I’ve done this for weeks. What was revealed is what you’re pointing to is already the case (as in. Yes, ‘it works’). No mind, appearance, etc. Similar to how daily meditation leads to the ‘ability’ to turn the mind on and off. If you go forward with it, my two cents would be to ‘merge’ gravity and no mind. To feel the brain / mind / sensation ‘sag’ in a very literal sensation sense. A certain ‘it clicks’ insight / actuality occurs as to vibration, appearance, and relaxation. Ramana Maharshi or Rupert Spira on sinking the mind into the heart might be a good read before, as a primer. If meditation is still experiential afterwards, the ‘quality’ of it is through the roof, and there’s no longer any ‘need’ for a certain environment, posture, sitting, etc. A person who meditated is realized to be meditation personing so to speak.
  4. Rings so true. Close friend of mine from high school got into that. You’re spot on, after a few months, medically speaking he had to stop and he bottomed out so bad he actually killed himself.
  5. @Someone here Another great inquiry / contemplation. ?? One appears as two.
  6. @SQAAD This is crazy, but maybe the narrative is that there’s an ego to surrender to a truth.
  7. @Unio Sounds great. Those pesky assumptions though. Seem to come back around again & again. Maybe that’s just me though.
  8. Meanwhile a multi billion dollar industry competes to be someone someone can talk to and express to.
  9. When you focus on a better feeling thought, that is self-love. There is no outside or secondary component or aspect.
  10. Spot on. The ‘key’, ime, is at 5:17 -5:30. The bigger point (imo) is to fill your life every which way with the love that you are, such that the thought of ‘higher frequencies’ or a separate self & psychedelics etc doesn’t even arise really. Notice “Darryl” ain’t talkin about (identified with thought) a myself, a me, a mine... but an alien. Questioner: “So, me, mine, me, I’m”... “Alien”: words, words, words, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts... (points to feeling). Questioner: “Wow!”. Meanwhile... just look at the image. The hell’s a giant purple crystal got to do with anything? “Darryl” loves it, that’s the difference. Most practically speaking, smell is the most direct sense. On a trip, rub a little of a rare essential oil (I used frankincense) under your nose, and be barefoot. Say goodbye to your reality. Willfully allow ideas of you and your life to be done. Look around the room, notice that’s the last scene you’ll see. Really say goodbye and express appreciation. Later, sit barefoot, rub frankincense under your nose, and sit perfectly still. Let the body fall asleep but stay awake. Don’t scratch the itch, take it as a sign the mind is checking to see if the body is still awake. Perfect stillness is key. Imagine the trip, and remember and focus on that you are the love that appears as the psychedelic. ‘Go timeless’, in feeling and breathing, or, presence.
  11. I’d lean toward tweaking meditation in letting thought come and go, vs thinking about the trip. How certain are you the trip in the past caused this, vs the hindsight perspective, or interpretation, in the now? What if the narrative now, of / about you in the past, is the diluting factor...and what feels off? Maybe there’s nothing that needs to be accomplished, and this is clear while tripping, but again, then there is a hindsight story, which is based on the assumption there is an accomplisher? If dinner tastes off based on the recipe, inspect the recipe.
  12. It interesting how post marketing campaigns common sense comes back around as wisdom.
  13. @Unio Can you describe what you meant by baseline consciousness a bit?
  14. An old saying comes to mind... “The checker gets what the checker checks”. The term self-love is hyphenated donating one, rather than ‘self and love’, or even self love, as in care or tending for one’s self. This would point to there not being two, similar to the term nonduality, such as there being an ‘I’ which has this confusion. When thinking love is attempted, and it is impossible, it is not per se confusion... if it’s acknowledged it’s impossible. Then it makes perfect sense... ‘what’ is one is not even a second, to any thought. One would never be able to experience a true thought, “about” oneself, or, self-love. In that ‘not two’ vein... there isn’t a self... which could be enlightened... and so there is no short cut (second ‘thing’) for no one. Awareness & ‘my autistic brain’ would be two. We love ourselves, would be two. In inspecting, if that thought feels great to you, great. If it doesn’t feel aligned & wonderful... the feeling might be the very love pointed to with thoughts and words, “right there” in, as, direct experience, so to speak. Awareness and a higher self would be two. To whatever extent words can point... notice one can never experience action toward one. One can uncover one... by inspecting thoughts... and shedding all which do not resonate, with one. As much as can be heard, the implication is outrageous. This would mean that you have never thought or heard a single true word about yourself. Literally. Love of the universe would be two. Notice, the twoness of thought and therefore of all communication and language. One forgets oneness, infinitude, by appearing as two. Yes, as in there aren’t really any, and never were “two”. Yes, The Truth. “The checker gets what the checker checks”... the “twoness” is only in thoughts. Inspect every thought. Anything known about self-love is not actually about self-love. The knower, the knowing, and the known, is apparent. As one, the knower is the known.
  15. When you describe, thought implies two.
  16. Meditation is best considered useless. If it’s thought to be of use, expectations are being placed on it, running the risk of the separate self ‘hijacking’ the ‘practice’ for gains, like feeling better, raising intelligence, consciousness, etc.
  17. What about accepting that doomed, hopeless, unworthy, ugly, weak and vulnerable are your opinions? I think you’re blessed, hopeful, worthy, beautiful, strong and invincible.
  18. @Someone here The “difference” between you and the rock is the rock doesn’t believe there’s a difference, a you and a rock, and so there is no rock. Perfect peace.
  19. @Consept Godspeed. ? One’s stifling is another’s liberation. But of course, up to you how you see, what I say.
