  4. @Podie45 It is possible to have a belief about oneself and be aware of it and feeling it... while missing what the word belief means, or, what a belief is. Even feeling the resistance of the belief with the desire (for a relationship), it’s still not unheard of to miss what a belief actually is. In missing the relationship between the belief and the resistance, it is possible to believe something is wrong with oneself such as having anxiety, or that one is antisocial. It’s common to try many things that don’t work, but make one feel worse, like trying to force oneself out of being comfortable in the present moment, which usually results in bringing up very uncomfortable suppressed emotion, which can often come out as blame, but doesn’t do much for feeling better. It’s also common, in missing that initial belief something is wrong with oneself, to try to be something or someone one is not, this also unfortunately typically results in experiencing blame. It’s possible to be feeling the desire to be social and have a relationship, but missing the resistance is from the belief, not from being social or having relationships. That unfortunately usually results in feeling the resistance more intensely and creating another belief... that the intense feeling is because something is wrong with oneself. Believing in the solution tends to reinforce the original belief, that there is a problem as in something being wrong with oneself. Again, in not recognizing the belief is a belief, it’s possible to add another belief, that one has to accept the discord, or, suffering. When this is experienced to be impossible (because the belief is a belief) the suffering can be so intense that it seems nothing could relieve the belief. One often thinks of everything outside of oneself, and is aware none of them really change this long term, and yet still it is possible for it not to ‘click’, what a belief is. This difficult path always leads back to ideas. The intuition knows that is where the relief lies. The world, or, conditioning, teaches the solution to a problem is more, but the intuition knows less, is really more. In learning this way from conditioning, one innocently attempts to apply this theory of adding more to their emotional experience. But the intuition knows and feels that pushing, forcing, and trying to be someone one is not will never bring peace. Only being yourself will do, because a belief is a belief.

  7. Infinite can not know finite. Infinite is the true nature. For One (infinity) to experience, One must appear to itself to be two, and one forgets it’s own oneness by ‘doing’ (being) so. It’s unthinkably brilliant, and the only possibility which allows for experience, or, creation. The apparent twoness of thought is a facade, illusory, the actuality is oneness appearing. This is why thought detachment leads to enlightenment and thinking more does not. More thinking, concepts, conceptualization and reconceptualization is creation, all illusory, and is great and serves creation, which is an appearance. In direct experience this is not exactly accurate. No one experiences your thoughts. And if & when they do, they’ll quickly realize it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, and they’ll ‘turn it off’. Short of this rare exception, thoughts are private. Yes it is. Enlightenment and life has always been that simple and straight forward and it will always be. Thread wise, consider, a ‘narcissist’ is actually suffering greatly and doing everything possible not to, but it could be said they are just taking the very hard path. Thought detachment, or transcending the finite mind, is not believing thoughts. That, can’t be thunk. Which is why folks meditate, do yoga, go on retreats, employ practices, eat clean, speak clean, think clean, let stuff go swiftly, etc. Looking for reason to live in thought is like looking in the garbage at Disneyland and not even recognizing you are already in Disneyland. “Reasons” is just more illusory thinking. “Control” is more illusory thinking. Let such discordant thoughts go. They never add up to anything. No one needs a reason to do, be, have, create & experience what they want, though it could be said they ‘need’ the empowerment to do so. Empowerment is indicative of the true nature, which again is uncovered by releasing conditioning. Releasing conditioning is effortless. Resisting feeling takes effort. Something to consider... a bigger picture frame up of sorts... A person experiencing negative psychology will first spite & resent someone experiencing positive psychology. They usually employ deflection & projection, and name call or insinuate with labels like ‘goody two shoes’, or ‘lucky’, and they’ll attribute what they aren’t yet willing to recognize within their own behaviors, actions & choices, as what is outside of human choice, like genetics, talent, charisma, and other ‘God given attributes’. A person experiencing positive psychology will first spite & resent ‘someone’ ‘experiencing’ no mind. They will usually be more manipulative and subtle about their deflection & projection, attacking their character, discrediting, etc, and projecting their own unresolved motives and impulsive behavior onto them. They don’t believe as much in luck, because they’ve experienced changing their own psychology from negative to positive, but they are still ‘lost’ thought, or, “psychology” (which is a thought). None of this negative or positive psychology will carry over into no mind, only true mental and emotional equanimity will do here, and that requires addressing the reaction and impulse of the apparent body / person / animal. ‘Someone’ ‘experiencing’ no mind will no longer spite or resent anyone, because they addresses the reaction and impulse of the animalistic side of the situation, and now see those are illusory thoughts which are in discord, and they’re well aware of this, and they desire to embody more of the true nature, as no mind equals more feeling presence which of course feels wonderful. Most hang their hat here, in accordance with how personality has or hasn’t served them, and do or don’t relinquish remaining vestiges of personality and or animalistic influence (attachment to reaction, impulse, lux, sex drive, relationships, habit, etc), which tends to dictate an absence of the humility required to recognize that in creation one plus one, and all which arises of it, is great than one. Just perspectives for consideration.
  8. One approach is consideration it’s what we don’t do or add which naturally ‘results’ in present moment awareness being present moment awareness. Not doing things like eating sugar, starches, drinking alcohol, caffeine, not focusing on what I don’t even like, etc. But then you gonna feel, a lot. But then, that’s what you want in the first pace.
  9. ?? It’s the ol’ “both” are actually One situation. You are absolutely capable of achieving great things. By you, I mean the ineffable, the One which forgot itself by being this very experience. The One which arises as the flotsam & jetsam of conditioning and forgetting is released. There is obviously the discernible experience of imagining and visualizing and creating the future you desire to, but you are all of this and none of this, greater than this and within this, and never actually see, let alone see, yourself. All “experience” already is yourself. You see by not seeing. So to speak, to truly see, is to see there is no thing to be seen. By appearing as such that there is the experience of seeing. By appearing as the thoughts and perception, or ‘seer’ & ‘seen’ experience. Rather I should say I do or do not. If I visualize, and I visualize ‘myself’ in a visualization, I can then believe that is me in the thought or visualization, but I am always the awareness of, never actually thinking, visualizing, doing anything, or even moving. Just appearing as. I appear to myself as everything else, to make it seem as if I am doing. Awareness of ‘this’ is perfectly humbling. ? Nothing is won, nothing is lost. Nothing can be taken, nothing can be defended. There is such an experience of believing thoughts, and therefore believing I am in thoughts, or could think myself. That is what is humbled. I am no more a person than a bird a thought or a soup can at the bottom of the ocean. Just a never ending silence, or peace, having fun by not having fun, is really the funniest & funnest possible scenario. TLDR, don’t blame ya. It boils down to feeling discord & alignment. We each have a choice it seems, to say this & that about the other, to ‘see’ parts or wholeness without and within, to be reaction like animal, or to take pause and address discord to align, and proceed consciously creating, in deep appreciation of the profundity of creation, or, you. It’s ‘what’s happening’, apparently. If it is good, for you in your direct experience, via feeling, to believe in yourself... then there is no remaining question in thought, as to if it is good. Good is good. If it is suffrage, or even slightly unpleasant to believe in yourself, feeling is already ‘telling you’ that belief has nothing to do with you. To think about it more imo would be in error. A single thought and feeling of what you want, and then letting it go from mind so that ineffable may be it, is worth as much as the entire universe. They are truly, literally, one in the same. You might say the manifestation of the universe, and manifesting this & that in your living. The latter is an echo of the prior, yet there is no sear Atari on, as it is essentially vibrational and spiral. Bigger to smaller spirals. The Milky Way and a water tornado I create by moving my finger (so to speak) in a puddle of mud. Same. Any experiential thought, belief, visualization, imagining, hope, dream, etc, which feels good, feels good because it is indicative of who you really are, of the true nature or truth. We could think of it as de-veiling, or illumination. One is already & always feeling the true nature of oneself. One never left, never even moved.
  10. @IAmReallyImportant No I can not. It’s a belief. If someone said seeing unicorns is a belief, they wouldn’t be able to give an example of seeing unicorns. Btw, it is good to see such people’s strife & struggle through the lens of compassion & empathy, as often they are avoiding dealing with something most are not aware of or tasked in life to have to deal with. There are many examples, and it’s all in the eye of the beholder. It is also wise of course, to implement one’s own boundaries, without unnecessary judgment.
  11. Some people are humbled, and thankful, and aren’t believing they can see themself. Therefore, some people aren’t experiencing comparative thoughts at all, in regard to other people. It seems there is everyone & anyone everywhere in between, and yet we are all ultimately in this together. Some people, especially in difficult times or transitions, project what is coming up and out within themselves, onto other people as well. Specifically people they experience who are already on the other side of the transition they are presently experiencing. As to why anyone would act in such a way, likely for what they believe acting as such will get them. The usual suspects, notoriety, as in fame, or money, praise, sex, etc. There’s an endless variety, yet no acting, incentive, or reward ever measures up to the nature of the truth behind the actor.

  13. @Shiva99 Not receiving a text does not equal being ignored, but thinking makes it so. What if her attention so to speak, is hers, and yours is yours? Maybe there is a little ‘off ness’ in missing this, and thinking hers has something to do with you. Seems like it does, but it doesn’t. Since it’s hers. Notice what you’re presently doing, with yours. Putting hers as higher. This will not resonate with direct experience. ‘Re-sourcing’ is a facade, a tough lesson sometimes, short term thinking or focus. What happens when you shift from focusing on what you’re not getting from someone else, to what you want to create, do, be and experience on your own behalf? (Which does not include expectation upon others).
  14. Yes, but perhaps a key difference is found upon that recognition of the desire to be more in alignment, to feel better, thus to change behaviors and actions. Some, have a itty bitty pity party, release, and alignment is already underway. Yet others, will go to any length imaginable, and then full circle back to addressing the simplest of behaviors. Then, there is clarity, that there aren’t individuals which have or posses empathy, compassion, awareness, love, etc. (The true nature, or, truth). @28 cm unbuffed Spot on ime. They will never apologize, admit when they missed the mark, misinformed, hurt someone, misled someone, nor will they give credit to anyone else for ideas they ‘borrow’, nor do they have it in them to thank anyone for helping them. (Yet) That is a miserably hot stove, which again, is inevitably full circled back to, wether within the appearance or without. It makes the simplest effortless functions incredibly (seemingly) complex and arduous, praying on convincing another of the same, via comparative ‘measuring’ thinking, guilting tripping, motivation, etc. Best of both worlds imo, is the way to go. Takes letting go paradoxically, humility, vulnerability, free expression. Great songs about this revelation... “Figured you out”... & “You should’ve seen the other guy”... by fellow ox wrestlers.
  15. Feeling good, actual. Looking good, projection. Some projection is natural, healthy, like inspiration. Too much projection, not so well being oriented. A blanket which covers the prior mentioned, feeling good. Attachment to thoughts of what others think of you, or that there are and that they even are. (Motivation - ‘getting it done by avoiding circumstances & situations’... inspiration, what you actually want, unwrapping the real gift you are.)
  16. When one is suffering from thought attachment, one is believing thoughts label perception. ‘Human body’ is a thought. Seeing is seeing. ‘Human body’ labels what is experientially seen, but does not define anything at all. There is collective agreeing in the labelling, for communication, for creation. (Yet ‘collective agreeing’ is a thought as well). Similarly, ‘part’ is a label, but the thought does not define anything, it communicates. If this seems ‘out of your grasp’, don’t go the direction of thinking, adopt the practice of meditation. The space between the thoughts, an early ‘experience’ in meditation, can not be thought no matter how much thinkin it seems one does. The ‘thinkin’ can inadvertently reinforce the idea that there is a ‘thinker’ ‘thinking’. The ‘space’ is then realized by consciousness, to be consciousness, and inevitably realized to be infinite, such that there are not two; consciousness and a body. ‘Body’, from this detached from thoughts / space between vantage, is clearly experienced as a thought, as a label. In this ‘not two’ of the spaciousness, it’s clearer there are not two, such as my, x, y, or z. (Voice, head, etc) If you replace the word brain with train, it’s clear thoughts are ain’t coming from, arising from a train. Only in the spaciousness, it’s clear ‘brain’ is a thought, and is not in perception. It’s another label. Great for communication, yet never actually defines any ‘thing’, as there are, not two. Not two. Again, careful with going the route of more and more thinking. Meditation imo is best first thing in the morning, everyday, and again in the afternoon. ‘Coming to’, knowing, feeling, being the spaciousness... before ‘a lot of thinking’... which takes some time to settle... has even arisen and been attached to. If you find that you are ‘going in the route of more and more thinking’... especially existential thinking, conceptualizing and abstractions, use the emotional scale instead, and bring attention and focus to feeling & understanding the emotions you are experiencing. This helps ‘keep you at ground level’, your life, desires, passions & interests, rather than thinking as in unproductive rumination. If difficult emotions arise, give them attention, rather than avoiding or suppressing. Expression is a great way to give the emotions attention, and to experience release of emotional discord. Journaling is just one general, simple example. Transmutation, realizing beauty and insight through expression via art, music, or even new experiences, transforms emotional misunderstandings into alignment with good feeling and understanding. Thinking and thinking is still, thinking. ‘My head’ is a thought. Trying to ‘wrap my head around this’ is more thought attachment, to the thought, ‘my head’. The light on the wall is great, good times. The bulb is greater.
  17. @Podie45 It’s the identity held up as an idol, but their identity is your idea. There is a key distinction, between being deceived and deceiving oneself. There is a natural learning curve from experience. Nothing to wallow in or dwell on. It’s as natural and helpful as feeling, understanding and expressing jealousy. It’s good to feel it and express, not so good to feel it and suppress. Look for links in how you think of yourself in opposite ways to those you might idolize. Utilize the emotion of jealousy to recognize interests, hobbies, activities, pursuits, etc, that you are interested in. Feel the ‘burn’ of the thoughts like ‘I can’t’, ‘I’m not x, y, or z enough’, ‘I’d never be able to’, etc. Focus on how good it feels when you align such thoughts and ideas with ‘who you really ‘ are. Most ‘great things’ or ‘accomplishments’ for which one could lean towards idolizing someone for, began with that person choosing the thought alignment of ‘I can’. With first believing and seeing ‘x, y, or z is possible’ ‘for me’. The fundamental underlying current if you will, of this situation, is love. If reluctant to allow and receive love for yourself, it is sought from a secondary source. The more love is allowed reception and earnestly expressed, the more it is clear the love is coming from within.
  18. @tatsumaru If you’ve been focusing on thoughts & a past defining who you are in an unfavorable way with respect to how you feel... it can take a while for the new momentum, but it feels great as soon as the orientation is changed. I see you and feel you as the opposite of what you describe, and you can’t prove me wrong in anyway, and it wouldn’t feel good to try. It takes no more effort, and less energy, to interpret that experience as perfectly normal. Being dropped off at school is a sensitive event for us at that age. Now though, you can understand that mom wasn’t abandoning you at all, and it wasn’t a sad event per se, without the interpretation that it was. You may have heard this one or a thousand times, but create dreamboard, and use the emotional scale. Pm me anytime if useful. For nipping discordant thoughts in the bud, before they become the trees that have been becoming, meditation, and expression as needed, is completely effective. If I were in your shoes, the orientation would be a steadfast aim at well being, and learning about, feeling / understanding the suffering. What it is, how its created, etc. I would keep a dialogue going in general, a looking into more and more intimate nuanced most-important-to-you aspects. Simple improv writing is great for limiting beliefs and ‘stuckness’. Streaming writing is great for effortlessly letting go and seeing what’s going on more clearly.
  19. @Arbolesmentirosos Awesome. Had a hunch. Definitely play with it, and singing is a great way imo. Even just ‘saying to yourself’ ‘turn the energy on now’... turns it on. You’re probably feeling in it now just from us talkin about it. ?
