  1. @brugluiz my best example is ecosia.org
  2. there's no reason. forget about it.
  3. @kindayellow what dies? what's the difference between: going to sleep and never waking up again waking up without having ever gone to sleep
  4. yeah i've been there on the other extreme. "there is no world out there" and its variations are very familiar to me. if you ask me, my most sincere answer is i don't know. to me, existence is so absurd that "there is a world out there" and "there is no world out there" can be both true at the same time. or what if it's something in the middle? something we can't grasp with the mind? i don't discredit leo, spira or any other pointer because i've had a heavy dosage of those profound mystical experiences myself. i'm just saying that we need a certain amount of maturity before we can help leverage mankind's level of awareness through our words and works. if you want to aim high and reach as many people as possible, then polish your language... "what did he say? 'poo-poos'? 'bullshit'? doesn't sound like a grown man to me" it's not the content. it's the attitude!
  5. here's another profound insight: science is a phenomenon of the universe trying to understand what it is. it's the other side of the same coin that you flipped on your collective ego episode.
  6. not sure what your "serious" means. famous? university professors? this is where we disagree. the movement already has an unstoppable momentum. "serious" scientists won't be able to do anything about it. human culture will transform faster as more people are falling in existential crisis. it's a natural flow. of course you can scream and say "my scream is part of the natural flow". but you can also work quietly and peacefully and say "my calmness is part of the flow". up to existence!
  7. never heard of those. my frame of reference for science is built upon a mindset that's closer to how einstein and tesla used to think. that's how i think about science and that's how i influence the scientific community to evolve. when it comes down to deep understanding and questioning, everything else in the domain of science looks like child's play to me... just more models. also, bashing the current mainstream scientific mindset is highly counterproductive. it sounds arrogant and immature... turning this into an ideology war makes things worse. simply practicing and promoting a new way to approach scientific foundations has been way more productive as far as my experience goes. keep in mind that human beings that are willing (and brave enough) to question everything are extremely rare. how much % of people on this planet have access to clean information about psychedelics? check out the humble attitude of this guy called dean radin. maybe you're familiar with his stuff.
  8. i define materialism as the perspective in which we make "naive" assumptions and simplifications of Reality in order to be able to model it with a certain degree of accuracy. modeling chemical reactions and physics equations are within the materialist perspective. and when you drive an electric car, program a cluster of computers, launch satellites on space, go through a critical surgery and come out alive or just use an online platform like actualized.org, it becomes clear that engineering works. this is where lay people get confused about science. they think that the current (most accurate) framework to model Reality is a "real thing". but scientists - those who come up with such models - are aware that those are just abstractions of the mind. this video shows what i mean.
  9. they may not agree on certain models of quantum mechanics and this is how science evolves. disagreement promotes improvements because everyone becomes more rigorous and methodical. you can't deny the experiments, though. if you deny the results of such a simple experiment as the double slit experiment, you can't even call yourself a scientist. we scientists do agree that we do not understand the mechanics of sub-nano realms. and, to make things worse, measuring becomes a real problem from there. about "materialism", it depends on what you mean by that word. i consider myself a materialist... it's just that what we know as "matter" is not made of solid little pieces as we thought before. i also consider myself a spiritualist... it's just that Spirit can feel solid and look static. in other words, as far as my insights have shown me, matter = spirit.
  10. because you haven't awakened in the level of Heart yet. checkout some adyashanti stuff on this subject. i think his message can help you. also, feel free to pm me if you want to talk about details that you're uncomfortable sharing here.
  11. @Krzysztof hallucination is imaginary. Truth is true RIGHT NOW.
  12. by cultivating a noble and high mission. the motivation to work hard will manifest spontaneously.
  13. @fortifyacacia3 if you want to become an intellectual about non-duality, speak non-dualish and use non-dual gibberish to justify petty choices, then yes, it's merely another concept for you. but if you want to experience non-duality, which is a complicated experience to put in words, then it's something else.
  14. @Dodo god is so powerful that it can experience itself through an idiot person. i'm not saying that you are dumb, though. i'm just saying that god is all there is and all that there can be. there is the experience of not knowing who you are, which is the daily experience of 99.999% of the current human experience. there is also the experience of deeply knowing True Nature, which is a rare way of living.
  15. we weren't dating anymore. i was just trying to help her out. hard times
  16. yes. my ex when she was having a bipolar breakdown.
  17. leo will be fine when he let go of doing this kind of work to wrap it up and conceptualize about it. his attachment for display hinders his sincerity. been there, done that. the undisciplined mind keeps you in a loop of internal struggle as it takes over and attempts to own and grasp the mystical experiences.
  18. right, until someone hits you, screams at your face or tries to hang you with their own hands (happened to me ).
  19. there is no such thing as "hidden science". your scientific work can either be or not be published. it only depends on whether the experiments are reproducible or not. the results of the experiments must also be "open", in the sense that it must not depend on particular states of consciousness, so that everyone will see the same results after the experiments are finished.
  20. @SQAAD non-duality is not something to be found by experiments that involve instrumental measurements and data modeling. those are the domain of science, but non-duality is about WHO YOU ARE. you can't measure WHO YOU ARE. it can be done by direct experience, only. not by intermediary means like a microscope or a telescope. zooming in is offtrack. zooming out is offtrack. using numbers is offtrack. using language is offtrack. deep levels of spiritual awakening is something else. you can't convince "your friends". it's not a matter of believing. it's a matter of becoming aware of WHAT reads these words right now. it cannot be done if you are not serious enough about it. if you don't work hard, you'll just scratch the surface. if you don't allow yourself to go through intense experiences like several retreats and such, you'll stay on the level of assumptions and beliefs, not really knowing what this is about. you will continue thinking that it's important that your friends know about it and agree with you, but that's soooo offtrack in many many levels!
  21. and yet, at the same time, memory is all over reality. every instant is filled with the eternal past.
  22. @Manjushri go practical. find a way to apply what you're learning and you'll learn very quickly.
  23. @Alex it doesn't work that way. the best thing you can do is live a good life and MAYBE others will be inspired by the quality of your life.
