  1. Sex is how Life continues, like drinking water and eating food. It's a completely different matter. Yes, that's the way it's going to be. I know that such societies exist legally in Brazil, United States, Portugal, Australia, Spain, Switzerland and Netherlands. I'm not very optimistic about Russia, China and North Korea, though.
  2. You're failing to notice that you did exactly what he told you not to do, which is hold beliefs as dogma. Time to throw it away. C'mon, you're smarter than that.
  3. Okay. It will take a while for you to realize the depths of your attachments. You haven't experienced the cosmic joke yet. You don't know what you're talking about. Your misery is under your conscious control. Your misery is you forcing yourself to believe in solipsism. It will stop as soon as you admit that you've distorted Enlightenment into an immature drama. All it takes is noticing your own stubbornness.
  4. Alright, then let go of this very belief. If you want to discredit mental experiences just for the fact that they're mental, then the only option is to live without any thoughts. But this is FAR from how amazing a human life can be. You're struggling very hard to convince yourself that your life is (and must be) miserable.

  6. That "me" might be where your ignorance is. If I'm wrong, why are you even taking Leo's words in consideration? Wouldn't you just be Leo's imagination? Or... Why Leo's imagination specifically? Why not Donald Trump's imagination? See, there are many fallacies that can follow poorly integrated mystical experiences. Your "extremely challenging" attempt to accept whatever you're trying to accept is like shoving a bunch of dogmas in your own throat. God is One, but as many. It's an absurdity. It's infinitely mystical. You, "Shaun" can create genuine connections with "others". The depth of sincere connections is real. It's, indeed, God connecting with Itself. But if you say "It's all me", you cannot think that you're the only valid experience out there. Or you thought that God was as simple as solipsism? Nah... gotta go further than that. It's infinitely mindblowing.
  7. Dean Radin is seriously legit, but @Dimi was talking about those photos of water molecules that became famous.
  8. @Shaun You've certainly seen something interesting, but the mind is a tricky thing. It takes over and assumes that it's the only genuine experience of the Reality. It's a clear case of ego backlash. Assuming that your perspective is the only perspective that exists is the easy way out of the mind in order to make sense of a radically paradoxical experience of no-self. Your experience was/is real, but your beliefs about it are arbitrary. Reality is One, but your perspective is not the only one because GOD is infinitely more powerful than that.
  9. @FrankTheTank Look around you. Do you think that the average joe can create something like actualized.org? This very forum is a demonstration of "superhuman" power. That experiment has been proved irreproducible.
  10. @Shaun Oh wow... you've taken your beliefs to another level. What if you're fundamentally wrong? What if you're mistaken about what enlightenment actually is? I'll serve you with a different food for thought. You're not the only gadget of the Universe that's able to access the feeling of "I AM". The Universe can feel "I AM" through every human being, which makes the human creature one of the highest events of existence... not a "wage slave form". In other words, your photography hobby was just fine. The spiritual path is the path towards a fulfilling/healthy Life. If you've reached unhappiness and such, it means that you're still indulging in some form of ignorance.
  11. @Tetcher Thanks for the info. I can't confirm that it's true, but I felt disappointment just from reading some of the sources.
  12. Interesting. I am going to ask you a few questions. Feel free to ignore any (or all) of them if you find it too uncomfortable to answer. How do you relate to people around you? Do you feel like you have the chance to be sincere about your feelings? Do you hold feelings of regret? Do you have something that you really enjoy doing and that's not toxic/destructive?
  13. Absolutely. Because porn can ruin your sexual life. Porn teaches an extremely ill way of dealing with intimate moments.
  14. @Shaun I don't understand why you don't treat yourself more gently. Do you?
  15. @Bryanbrax Here's a short list: Learn how to make eye contact and how to listen while talking to people Start practicing self-inquiry Clean up your diet (ditch trash food) Quit porn Exercise
  16. @Aakash Good luck on your journey. Have a great Life!
  17. @Anton_Pierre Genuine hunger for Truth is a very intimate thing. Ranting about organizations and saying that you want the Truth is inappropriate. Leaders of organizations/institutions/religions have their goals (as do you). Let them be.
  18. @Cody_Atzori To me, a clear case of bullshitting was when I used to lie to myself as an attempt to feel better in the short-term.
  19. @StarStruck If I were to find out that I had been mistaken about my career path by the age of 80, I'd still be thankful. Just go for it. And remember that you still may change your mind about your career. Just do what you enjoy now and don't attach yourself to it.
  20. @SageModeAustin It sounds amazing. Just plan your way to do some basic stuff like brushing your teeth, take a leak or shit, shower etc. Don't let those small details ruin your experience. Strategize all the way through it.
  21. @Shaun Ok so you're spontaneously creating suffering out of "nowhere"? Doesn't make much sense to me. Try to go meta during meditation. Watch the mental patterns that lead you to suffering. From my POV, one should be able to sit and do nothing without hurting oneself.
  22. @Toan Try starting with 1 day in your bedroom. Simpler setup = better for starters.
  23. It's even funnier if you imagine that it already happened. @Shaun Atoms collide, stars explode, new galaxies are born, black holes are formed, people die, people are born, a wound is open, a new scar takes form, a river disappears, volcanoes explode, suns turn into dwarfs... It's an infinite dance. What are you up to?
