  1. @Aeris You're supposed to fill such tests with answers that are based on behavioral evidence. It's very different from astrology or anything like that. Such tests can even unveil things that you do not expect so that you can embrace them or work on yourself to change them. Particularly speaking, these tests are very good to flag people pleasers.
  2. Someone asked Bodhidharma what happens after death and he answered "I don't know. I haven't died yet"
  3. @Corpus It looks good. I'm willing to read through the entire thing soon.
  4. @Truthority Serving is medicine. When was the last time someone looked at you in the eye and said "thank you"?
  5. @Robby Truly? Give up on surrendering. Throw everything you've learned on the trash can. Give up on enlightenment and just serve the world.
  6. @Beginner Mind Don't be to simplistic. You can't choose the number of molecules of water that your gut will absorb either. But that doesn't mean that you can't make choices. You can choose to wake up early and work hard on your life purpose. You can choose to stop eating trash food. You can choose to exercise and practice meditation. If you're trying to use spiritual jargons to justify petty choices and lack of responsibility, you'll hit a huge wall very soon. It's up to you.
  7. @Beginner Mind There is a conscious effort to make wise choices and plans. Stop bullying yourself already.
  8. @fridjonk Yes, but I was talking particularly about solar/wind energy. Our capacity to use such sources of energy is not very good. For instance, photovoltaic plates work more poorly as they heat up, which is kind of ridiculous since they're supposed to stay exposed to sunlight.
  9. As crazy as it sounds, our level of engineering is still very rudimentary. You can't make projections for the future without taking huge technology leaps into account.
  10. @Andrewww I've always been here. I can't be anywhere else.
  11. @andyjohnsonman Make eye contact and slow things down. It's very hard to fake it if the rhythm is slow unless you're unlucky enough to go out on a date with a professional liar. Also, inability to keep eye contact is another red flag. I'd say that it's not very much about what's being said but about the way that things are said. Also, avoid playing games at all costs and be in touch with your heart... don't be a hypocrite.
  12. @andyjohnsonman How would you measure your own level of consciousness? How do you diagnose yourself?
  13. @tatsumaru The short answer is no. Some gurus actually motivate lots of people to do good without a single woowoo line of thought and without asking for a single penny. These people keep their jobs apart from "spiritual matters" and can make money just like random people make money.
  14. Demian and Siddhartha. Both from Hermann Hesse.
  15. You need to be extra careful if that's the way you're going to place your stones. There is a huge difference between relying on individual subjectivity and the struggle to build something based on consensual subjectivity. I don't intend to discuss this point here. I'm just saying that arguing that the scientific method arises from subjectivity won't quite cut it. Keep in mind that the most refined scientists do not confuse science with Truth. So if you say that to them as an attempt to wake them up to the spiritual dimension it won't even scratch their surface.
  16. @AlphaAbundance You tell me. Should you?
  17. @mkrksms There's no way in and no way out. You are the spontaneous miracle of existence.
  18. Why should I take you seriously if too much of what you say can only be verified with experiments that are highly grounded on subjectivity?
  19. @Marks199 Enlightenment is paradoxical. One of the best Approaches that I know is sitting and giving up. The ego is too tricky. It always tries to come out on top. Unfortunately it doesn't work when it comes down to spiritual work.
  20. @Gadasaa Existential fear goes away after enlightenment. There can be physical agony though, as the process of the body stopping to work can be somewhat uncomfortable.
  21. @tatsumaru You feel empty when you listen to Leo but Leo himself is extremely driven. You're free to choose something to do with your life. Your freedom is what scares you.
  22. @EvilAngel Nobody can save you but yourself. Not even "God" or whatever you mean by that word. You're always entirely responsible for what you do.
  23. @Aakash I deliberately choose to play the game of Life and embrace duality. Common expectations and frustrations to spice up Life a little bit. It's not like I highly depend on mundane matters... It's just how I roll. Truth is not something that you are not. Duality is the ultimate miracle!
