  1. In one of his recent vids, Leo mentioned 'actualized nihilist'. I've been contemplating some on this one. Sounds a bit different, but come to think, it's a pretty accurate definition.
  2. @jhmarrio A thought is an energy form with an illusory content. Leo has a good vid called The Illusory Nature of Thought, check it out.
  3. @jjer94 People we're energetically incompatible with will trigger in us a measure of resistance and anxiety. So while it's good to understand and empathize, it's also wise to keep your energetic boundaries intact...whether it's a friend, co-worker, or your own parents. They would try to make you dependent on them (consciously or unconsciously) through help, money, approval, etc (my Mom was big on helping while I was at work and then trying to micromanage my life), so do as you need, just be aware of the energy dynamics. My life has become much more peaceful once I realized this. Sometimes you just have to keep emotional and physical distance from any energy unfavorable to your wellbeing.
  4. Just finished watching this and I have to say JP hit nail on the head on all the points here. As usual he's funny, but ain't kidding. Great vid.
  5. @Joseph Maynor Use your conceptual mind as a tool when you have to work, plan, make decisions, contemplate, etc, and in between those, go for streatches of non-thinking. This requires a bit of a training to go back and forth. Eckhart Tolle, actually, suggested this practice in one of his talks, and I've been using it and it works for me.
  6. This 'entity' you call 'me' is not you. It doesn't belong to anybody. But the mind will always tell you otherwise, because it can't grasp beyond the object reality/separation. I know it's such a mindf#ck. Keep inquiring. What is left when the illusion of 'me' ends?
  7. @MiracleMan Pain is mostly caused by inflamation in the body. Try full body detox and clean up your diet off foods that cause inflamation - red meat, gluten, sugar, processed foods, etc. Just these 2 things will help with pain considerably. Also, curcumin is one of the best anti-inflammatory supplements as well as Wobensym N. I have low back issues sometimes and Curcumin (Terry Naturally brand, 750 mg of CureMed) knocks it right off.
  8. @John Iverson Because the ego hates Being.
  9. @Hallo_Leo In some cultures they eat them crawly things and even consider cockroaches delicacy.
  10. @Brimstone Interesting article, thank you for sharing.
  11. It's just happening and nobody is doing it. 'Dodo' is a concept, a thought. Thought content is illusiory. So yes the concept of 'you' living and breathing is an illusion.
  12. @Dodo Well actually you are all those things. The sense of self that there is someone that has those things is an illusion... 'Dodo' does not exist.
  13. Existentially speaking, there is no separation. Animals don't have a sense of self (except for elephants and dolphins, I think), so they are not prone to do any of the 'mind' stuff like us humans. Thus no judgement, criticism, pride, etc. They live in the moment and have no concept of past or future, or mortality. In that sense my dog has been my great spiritual teacher, on top, of course, being my best companion and friend
  14. I eat some organic poultry and wild-caught fish, and like an organic egg here and there and some quality butter and cheese. But the majority of my diet is fresh food from the earth - veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds, roots like turmeric and ginger, non-gluten grains like buckwheat, quinoa, rice, etc. And I do drink plenty of alkaline water through the day for edequate hydration. I agree that food we consume affects how we look. There would be less free radical damage and that damage is what makes body age faster.
  15. I don't cook in olive oil, only use it for dressing in salads. For cooking I use avocado and coconut oils because they tolerate higher temperatures without becoming toxic.
  16. I have always felt that my dog understands me better than most people. And we don't even have to talk.
  17. @Key Elements I have and been using my Ninja blender for years and it still works good as new. I make and consume green smoothies every morning in differen combinations of chlorella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, coconut water, coconut yogurt, chia seeds, raw cocoa, spinach, kale, pineapple, nut milk, turmeric root, ginger, etc. Plenty of healthy recipes to try! Change them up for variety/ taste and enjoy C(:
  18. @Pelin I forgt to mention to do it first thing in the morning (only once a day) before eating or drinking anything. When your gut stabilizes, you can cleanse once a week. And make sure to follow up with pribiotics
  19. @Pelin I also make and consume my own fermented foods, it's part of my daily diet. When everything works smoothly in your gut and you have at least one daily bowel, supplements would not be required. Once a week I do a saline water flush to cleanse and disinfect my gut. There are many benefits to that, just make sure you do it with clean water and real sea salt. Drink a quart of water mixed with 2-3 tea-spoons of salt, in under 10 minuits. If that doesn't push it through, drink another quart with salt. Wait till you thoroughly flushed before you eat again (usually 1 hr). Do a few flushes (will help get rid of bad bacteria) followed by probiotics (will help eliminate any parasites you might have contracted in Japan) and that should take care of your current gut ailments. I do keep a bottle of quality probiotics in the fridge and take them sometimes too. It's also good to supplement when you have an animal (I have a dog). And as you getting older and your digestion slows down, supplementing almost becomes a must, and not just for gut health, but also for immune health as well.
  20. Don't confuse Consciousness with perception. Consciousness (Awareness, the Absolute, God) is the 'container' in which the body-mind appears and dissapears, not the other way around. It's non-dual, which mind can't grasp. So if one shot themself in the head (using your exampe), they would cease to perceive dual reality and in the absence of the illusion, would fully know themself as the Absolute/ Consciousness/ Awareness, God.
  21. @Wes Thoughts Consciousness (awareness/ the Absolute/ God) does not need a body-mind in order to know itself. When the body-mind construct cease to exist, what left is what has always been, will be, and what every-thing is made of - self-aware/self-abiding No-thing, our true nature. And because of its non-dual nature, when the body-mind 'dies', it also ceases to 'perceive' the dual world.
  22. @Nadosa You got to surrender in order to let go. What I see here is a lot of though-stories and no direct experience. Mindfulness meditation and meditation with labeling might help. Also, Eckhart Tolle material on YT/ books - this info is quite basic and easily 'digestiable'. You're on the right track. Keep it up!
  23. @Shakazulu From the point of the Absolute the birth and death of our body take place at the same time. From the point of the mind, there are 3 dimentions of space and one dimention of time, which makes impossible for the mind to understand eternity. You are the Absolute embodied, it's just that the mind cannot understand it.
