  1. If your mind is telling you that you already know everything and there is nothing to do anymore, it is a big trap. It's both true and false, but your mind will use this statement to go full inconscious again most of the time, backtracking on everything it can. You have to trust your instinct/intuition, not what your mind says. It's easy to know which is which, in the first case you have a deep sense of peace and you seem to be aligned with life, in the second you become agitated and full of doubt.
  2. It's the substance of everything, in reality there is no boundaries between anything. It's all the same consciousness/awareness/whatever. There is no difference between a piece of paper, a bottle of water and your hand, you are just blind to it. Even saying that you're blind to it is not quite true, because you are seeing it right now, you're just not paying attention.
  3. Be happy it's just that, it could be way worse ! Like feeling that a certain portions of your body (or the whole body) is dying/disappearing, or when your mind go insane and can't be stopped, or infinite fear coming from all directions etc ...
  4. So funny that this post is made the second day I'm starting to get back to 2 hours meditation a day AND that I was thinking the same thing.
  5. Because it's filled with drama, rape, murder, sex, violence and political stuff. It's not bad, it's quite amazing actually, but for a very neurotic and egotic person, it just feeds their heads with more drama that will activate more drama and so on, just like any show/news ...
  6. Huge waste of time. You will find more wisdom by listening and reading from spiritual master in 1 month than studying philosophy for the rest of your life. Peter Ralston, Eckhart Tolle, and the Buddha (Siggarta) for example.
  7. The fact that you think you have a self-image is the reason of all your sufferings in life. Better realize that first, everything else is secondary really.
  8. When you wake up in the morning, assuming you slept enough.
  9. One of the last addiction I have, is video games. It takes me so much time, and I've tried for at least a 100 times to stop. I play since I've 3, so this isn't just a minor addiction, all the last pieces of my identity are into it. I want to stop because I have to clear a lot of room for other stuff that I need to do If I want to come closer to my goal. I don't think it's stupid or brainless or whatever, it's just an entertainment, and there is nothing inherently wrong with it, just that It takes me too much time and that I know that I'll have to drop it one day anyway. I struggle a lot with that, I know that it could take a long time, and that I I'll to put a lot of energy into it. I already have some success with these kind of work, for example it's been 4 months that I didn't watch any porn or fantasize about women during masturbation (and only masturbate at the very max 3 times a month), so I know it can be done, but quitting porn and masturbation was easy compared to this. What helped you the most ? What habit or knowledge did you find useful ? I'm already going to take a serious investigation on that right now, but I doubt I'll got all the juicy sources and advices that you could come up with. For those who have the same kind of problem, these videos helped me a lot clearing all the other addictions I had. If you don't have a goal, it could just be enlightenment, to be free, totally free.
  10. Can you be aromantic and still love everyone ? Like, you love everyone but just can't feel it ?
  11. Well, I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop doing the shitty and highly exhausting jobs I was doing in the industries to gain a lot of money. I was saving to not have to work for the first year of college, but I almost already have all the money needed anyway. I think I'll go to mc donald and do something like 10 hours a month, I'll still have double the amount I needed anyway, and could focus on getting the habits I want and have lots more energy to resist the bad ones. Sounds like a good plan !
  12. I don't know how to put it better, so I'll just leave this here ...
  13. Men, I spent at least 3000 hours on moba alone, with Hearthstone it could be like 10 000. That's not even counting offline games, imagine if I spent all that time meditating or self-inquiring, I would be fucking Jesus by now But I guess that was necessary, I would never knew that entertainment wasn't gonna do it if I didn't do it until I was sick of it, and probably never heard about spirituality (with the proper mindset) if the events occured just a little bit differently.
  14. Going cold turkey for the XX times, god this is a messy process The vision guys, the vision !
  15. The funny thing is that you're already there. You're inconscious that you're conscious, it's so stupid
  16. I'm "doing" it all the time now, I couldn't stop doing it even if I wanted to @Max_V To me it took 3/4 months of 2/3 hours a meditation a day + 1 to 2 hours of walking meditation
  17. Yes, being in the present moment and having a calm mind is very different. In the first scenario you will be ok no matter what, in the second, once your mind starts to become crazy again, you will think you've "lost" it ...
  18. If you're truly introverted, then there is nothing to do except accepting it. Being introvert simply means you need more time alone than an extrovert. Of course, if you compare yourself to an extrovert, you're not gonna be happy, since you think the good life is the life of an extrovert ... I didn't accept it all of my life (didn't know it existed though), and of course I wasn't happy, since I was always going out at parties, socializing all day long, not understanding why I couldn't be as attractive, happy and funny as everyone else. How could you be attractive if you always want to be somewhere else ? How could you be happy if you are always tensed ? How could you be funny if you are always depleted ? That's not possible.
  19. Who or what is needy ? Inquire, go deep, spend a lot of time alone, meditate a lot too. It will awful, it will feel like you're going to die, but this is necessary otherwise you'll never cure the problem at the source. No way people will truly like you if you don't love yourself first (you could, but you would still be fucked up in the inside so ...), and to be able to truly love yourself, it takes a lot of courage and faith, because you first need to see that your current identity is false. If you can see that you don't really are "insert your name", then there is no reason to be hurt, whatever happens. That doesn't mean "negative" emotions won't ever occur again, it just means there will be just the emotion, and not the suffering just after (which is the real problem, not the pain in itself). It's not that difficult, you just have to meditate and be minful 24/24 untill it becomes a second nature and you see your thoughts as something else than you, then they can't hurt you, not really. I could tell you to develop a strong and assertive personality, but it takes longer and will not solve the core problem (it's relatively important if you want to build a strong carreer/relationships, but that's not a priority). If you discover that your current "self" is just an illusion, then you will also understand that you can shape this illusion as you see fit. That means you will be way more confident than any other dudes/girls out there, simply because there is no limit in your mind to what you can do. From that emerges a deep peace and patience towards your current lifestyle, even if you have big dreams/projects and you seem very far away from them. Nothing will seem really important, BUT you will appreciate every moment for what they are, even if you are all alone with nothing to do. That may seem too good to be true, but it is not, and you don't need 20 years of practice to do this, you can do it in less than 1 year, EASILY. You just have to meditate 2 hours everyday and constantly being conscious (mindful) of your mind activity 24/24 (which is not you, the voice in your head is just an another thought).
  20. You could tell us young padawan.
  21. You will laugh way more when you'll realized that you're 200% more egotic than everyone in here
