Put an apple and a rabbit in front of a child and see what the instinctual behavior would be. I think eat the apple and play with the rabbit. The instinct of a child will be to play and be friend with the animals. Not to start salivate and put their teeth in it to rip its flesh out. Lets say we sliced a bit of flesh from an animal and handed it to the child, what would it do? Children love animals. Just look at the characters we see in movies and books that are for kids. If you trust you're natural instinct would you run after a pig and try to eat it? Do raw meat actually seems appealing or do you have to do all kinds of stuff with it before you wanna eat it? What about eating insects? I've heard they're quite nutritious. Better taste = healthier? Hmm..

@Slade Even if plants actually do feel pain, then being vegan would still minimize the suffering of not only animals but plants too. Do you realize that by being vegan you would actually contribute to less suffering of plants too then? I can explain why if you don't. So if plants feel pain, what makes that an argument against veganism?

Here's a few reasons in my opinion: False beliefs and lack of knowledge - About the industries, food, health, environment. Superiority complex. Look up speciesism. Like racism but to animals. Not thinking for yourself - Being brainwashed. Ignorance - Of what goes on behind the scenes. And not putting yourself in the animals place. Food addiction. Lazyness. Entitlement.

@Star Net Good initiative. I eat a plant based diet because of health and morality. Once you actually resarch how it works in the industries and how much suffering it is you'll be disgusted with it. Problem is most people don't. We are fed a very romanticized view of it. All part of the marketing plan. We're told stuff like: "the animals live a good life". "they get a humane death" "we need meat/milk" etc... And we learn it's right to love and take care of some animals but others we should slaughter. Why? Well to this day I haven't heard a good argument for why they should be treated differently. Wish you luck

Damn. I thought it takes a couple of years before it can become dangerous. But yeah taking a b12 supplement is necessary. That's like the only thing you really have to supplement I think if you eat a good vegan diet. It's very easy to do.
