  1. Clearly that proves it’s not a need. If it was, I wouldn’t be able to repress it. For example, I can’t repress my need for water no matter how much I try. Only ‘wants’ can be repressed.
  2. @Elevated This is only the beginning. You must make sure your practice is sustained for several years minimum. Then you will see all the good results.
  3. @charlie cho The first few years of meditating, your mind will certainly be quieter. In that time, it’s best to live a simple life. After you get used to meditating, your analytical mind will return, and then you can go back to goal setting.
  4. I can promise you that having friends was taking its toll on me. To this day, I have to work hard to avoid social people, and sometimes I even have to be harsh to push them away. Don’t assume everyone is like you. I most certainly have no need for friends. To the contrary, I will go mad if I’m forced to be social.
  5. As someone who hasn’t had any friends for many years, I can confirm that this is false. I’m happiest when I’m alone. Although most people are probably not like me, so you are right in a sense.
  6. Lol. This guy can certainly crack me up! He’s funnier than Stephen Colbert!
  7. Which monk meditates in a crowded place? You need concentration on your mind, which can’t happen if it’s being diverted outwards.
  8. You’re paying lip service to enlightenment.
  9. @Muhammad Jawad If you believe atoms exist, you’re still stuck in the mind.
  10. @Javfly33 I’m assuming you have a daily meditation practice. Otherwise it’s hard to believe you take spirituality seriously.
  11. @tuckerwphotography Best to trip alone, dude.
  12. Can you even see an atom? How do you know the atom exists, let alone the ‘infinite worlds’ in the atom?
  13. @Shanmugam When it comes to spirituality, silence is better than any words.
  14. Pretty good, but I think it is more related to self-actualization than to enlightenment.
  15. I doubt Leo said he’s ‘against’ vegans. Some of us just like eating meat. Meat is not unhealthy as some people like to preach.
  16. @Mips Postpone the date of the trip, so you have more time to be in fear. The more time you have, the more you can spread the fear out between now and the trip time, so the fear will be less intense at any given moment.
  17. @Focus Shift Remember that you’re God, which means that it was you that created all the suffering. And the only reason you did, is because you wanted to. Stop externalising God. He is none other than yourself!
  18. @Sanity The whole world is your mind. Therefore you’re creating it on the go. Whatever action you choose to take, is what you created. It’s always the right choice.
  19. @Slizzer Doesn’t change the fact that it’s illegal in most of the west.
  20. @atmagaia Thank you. They’re pretty good. Keep up the good work.
  21. @Beginner Mind Don’t get stuck in ‘feeling good.’ Spirituality usually involves huge suffering, because growth requires suffering. Although enjoyable, I doubt this technique will actually grow you.
  22. @Ayoub If you search hard enough on the internet, I’m sure you’ll find it.
