  1. Meditation Contemplation Judo Looking at ducks ...f*ck, my life is boring
  2. Homeostasis is natural. It's human. But think about this: When you were in that state before personal development, were you really aware of it? Now you're actually aware of it. And awareness is actually everything we're seeking in this process. You're on the right path. Life/Destiny is just testing you right now. You need the dips/downfalls in order to rise. You reach a point where you're on top with your self-actualization. But then your ego takes over. And then you get a so called ego-backlash which is NECESSARY for your growth. So take pride in this. You can then say "Okay, I'm in this low state right now, but now I can rise even more than last time." Without failure there can be no growth. So keep striving.
  3. Sometimes it's good to go back to the roots of personal development. I don't know how much you guys know about the famous, Swedish DJ by the name of Avicii, but he died two days ago (unknown cause so let us not speculate too much, but there might have been drugs/alcohol involved/perhaps even suicide)... Anyways. I was watching his documentary "True Stories" which is about his career and the reason to why he stopped touring. Now his career kicked off super fast when he was around 20 years old, so obviously he was not mature enough for the fame he received. He resorted to alcohol to cope with his extreme anxiety and stress he felt. All of this might led to diseases and maybe ultimately his death? What's even more convincing is that I've looked up old Swedish forum posts from him back in 2006 where he started to spread some of his early music, and he also made posts about his anxiety and stress. Now he did nothing really about this core issue for him, and along with the fame and the chase for stardom and all of those things – of course through massive passion and hard work – he wasn't able to handle it. So already here it's a fact that money/fame does not cure your problems. This shows the extreme importance of setting personal development and the mastering of one's own psychology as a standard in schools/society overall. Instead of the chase of fortune and fame. Not to say those things can't make you happy – anything can, but the core problem can never be solved by masking. This also lead me to a video from Leo where he talks about this:
  4. Update: He comitted suicide. Said he couldn't take it any longer. Some people are just not meant for success and being in the spotlight. He hated the fame, but always loved making music.
  5. You see one thing I absolutely hate is when people do not give concrete answers. Philosophy will not help you in this case. If you want a concrete answer I will give you one right here. And it's not simple. It takes a long time to master of dedicated, hard work, on a DAILY routine based schedule, there are NO magic pills whatsoever: Take more action. When you take action you don't have time to think But don't think that thoughts are negative. They show you Your self image. Spend time alone in a room for 3 hours and observe your thoughts. You don't have any control over them anyways because there is no You. So see what pops up and gain awareness of it. Write it down. Start meditating MORE. 1 hour per day AT LEAST. Also know that you cannot erase thoughts. But thoughts are one of those things that when you separate yourself from them they fade away. The more you feed your thoughts the more they will pop up for you. So: a list in order from hiding thoughts to solving thoughts: – Take more action, do more things (as a simple thing to make your mind distracted. You become more present, but it in the beginning works more as a masking) – Meditation, at least 1 hour per day (Do-Nothing-Technique or Observation without Attachment) <– F*cking crucial. If you don't already meditate what are you even doing? – Force your mind. You have to do something DIFFERENT! So lock yourself in a room for 3 hours without any distractions. Without any meditation, no nothing. And you will see what thinking really means. Do so one time, and then a week later the same thing but this time you write down your thoughts, most frequent ones ...<–– What thought is mostly on your mind? (from previous exercise) There is a REASON behind the thought. It's from your subconscious mind. You don't spend your days thinking about what juice your gonna drink tomorrow, right? Because it's not a PROBLEM for you. You have to see the context of the actual thought and THEN you can resolve them. – Mindfulness and Yoga. Research it and do it. There are no secrets. If you want an answer to your question we can give you all the philosophy in the world and you will now know how to solve anything. If you want to stop thinking you have to deal with that as any set goal, there is no difference. 1. Make a strategy 2. Set a routine (with the techniques I gave you) 3. Set goals 4. Have a vision Tough love. Good luck
  6. Biggest changes: Positives: – I can easily think/feel my way out of a problem – I can detach myself from my problems by gaining more awareness of them – I have reprogrammed my subconscious mind by keep telling myself the same stuff over and over (for a positive purpose) – I have improved my coaching and lecture skills – I have better social skills – I have gained a better connection with nature (I always contemplate outside) – I have become a deep thinker/philosopher (people usually tell me I'm an 80 year old professor in a 20 year old body, haha. Positive or not? I don't know) – I reach every goal and vision I set out for myself, because I strategise my way to my sucess Negatives: – I tend to think more than I feel – I sometimes see more problems than positives
  7. I've always had a passion for creating my own theories and concepts about success in a creative way. It helps me stay on track with my goals and my vision. I of course always test it out. What works for me might not work for someone else, but I've always loved contemplating about my own goals and depending on certain outcomes created my own concepts for how it works in my mind. An example of this is the following concept, a pretty basic one, I call it the Action-Concept: Basically: 1. You take action which leads to a certain result. 2. If this action is good or bad, it doesn't MATTER. Because we can always extract something from it. For example: Wisdom = What did I learn? External = What changed externally for me by this result? Belief (Potential) = Subconsciously, a belief is created, IF I choose to accept the idea. So if I fail and it doesn't go my way, my emotional mind opens up (subconscious) and I can easily plant the idea of "Urgh, I cannot do this...", maybe why most people quit so easily? OR I can say "Alright, I failed BUT –> I got WISDOM I can now use to create a better action next time. So the bad and the good result are on the same level (except for externally, but it doesn't matter, what matters is the mind). The question is What happens next? I've always done this for myself and it makes it so much easier to keep track of my results and it also creates a meta-belief that makes me trust the process even more. How we believe is how we act. It's a sort of strategy for the mind. Self-deception? I don't know, but the point is that it works and it helps. I also help my clients in this way by giving them different concepts and it seems to help them in a good way to understand success. Anyone else here who does something similar or do you mostly follow already existing theories and concepts?
  8. I think we should all be very grateful for what Leo has taught us. It is very easy to get caught in the illusions of society but every Sunday we get reminded at Leo-church that reality and our life is far greater than what we think. He has completely changed my life for the better and if it wasn't for his videos I don't know where I would be in life right now... I decided to make a little video as a tribute for Leo with the best wisdoms/clips I personally like. I saved them in a folder so thought I'd make a little compilation video: Enjoy!
  9. I'm waiting for Leo's response: "Wtf are you guys talking about? I was never born. Do you even enlightenment, brahs?"
  10. I also LOVE psychological theories and concepts and I def. think there should be a separate forum for this. Concept of Standards / Hedonic Adaption is the most common one. Example: Something bad is going on in your life which is sort of bothering you. You're walking around thinking about the problem, and suddenly you drop your phone and it breaks. Now you get angry and suddenly the problem you had before isn't as bad anymore. You wish you could rewind time back to when at least you "still had your phone". And THEN you get run over by a car and it injures Now suddenly you want to rewind time to when at LEAST you had your leg left. And the problem you first had is not as "bad" as it was before... BUT... here is where the interesting part comes. Let's say your leg heals pretty fast, you are now still mad because of the phone (which, remember didn't matter when your leg was injured). But then you fix your phone, and you're back to square one: the original problem you had, which is now bothering you once again. Your psychology adapts to the situation and this leaves very little room for gratitude.
  11. Could you elaborate on that question, please?
  12. A long term goal is usually a vision, right? I'll tell you this: You don't know how to accomplish it, and you shouldn't know. How can you know? You're so far from it so how would you be able to? Now, if you've already accomplished it before then of course you would know how, and you've already created that belief in your subconscious mind that it is possible. But if you've never done it then you don't have that potential belief in your mind yet. So what you'll have to do is to find that potential. How do you find the "potential" to keep motivation? 1. Ask someone else who's done it: How did they do it? This is a pretty simple task, but it's not always that you can find someone. If you can, then great! They will plant the belief for you that it's possible and you can just copy what they did. You can learn a lot from them, even though we're all on different paths in life. 2. Visualisation: Imagine that you already have it This is the most effective since it will, through repetition and affirmation, create the belief that you already have it and it's possible –> So your subconscious will figure out the necessary action steps for you to reach it . You create the belief through: An idea, a belief, repetition. 3. Strategy: A necessary action step This is when you break down your goal into smaller pieces. So you have your "long term goal" right, your vision. But it might be so vague that you don't know how to make it practical yet. So you do this: You break the vision (C-goal, for example: Become a popular public speaker) into smaller pieces – > B-goals (practical achievements you can reach, for example "Hold my first seminar"), you break this goal down into smaller pieces –> A-goals (daily routines you set out for yourself, for example "Spend 1 hour every day practicing public speaking" or "Figure out way to hold a seminar" or "doing research"). Doing this on a daily basis leads up to the B-type goals. Now you might wonder: Well how does it all connect? Well there are some things called "Micro Components" which are basically things you CANNOT see yet. Opportunities arising from you taking practical action. When you take the practical action ideas will pop up and opportunities will arise for you. It is your job to become very aware of these and to catch them right away. And speaking of motivation: You don't "find" motivation, you create it for yourself. You develop a web of motivators no matter how you feel. I have a video on this you can check out. Also, set a goal for yourself (A-goal) to research motivation every day. And also set smaller goals for yourself doing the task even when you're not motivated. Success isn't so fancy. There are no shortcuts, what it all basically boils down to are the routines you set out for yourself and how much you engage your mind to one idea. Good luck
  13. Listen If you feel as if you truly believe in what you're saying, as if you actually feel that it's shallow and not just because you heard it in some video, then I'd say SWITCH. RIGHT NOW! RIGHT FUCKING NOW! It's time. You HAD to go through that to realize it. Nothing happens just "because". Things happen for you to learn alright? It's a natural process. But also realize what you learned during that time that you can use effectively. What is the underlying knowledge that you picked up on the way that you can now use for a higher consciousness pursuit? Maybe most of it was a waste of time sure. But that does NOT mean it was a waste alright? Everything has a natural process. And reality is infinite. Sometimes it fucks with our minds so much that it doesn't make any logical sense (but really, what is logical?) Forget it all okay ? Forget it. You will die soon. You will. You will never exist again. Are you gonna whine about it? OR are you gonna wake the fuck up? Now is your time. There are only TWO things you have to do now: 1. Gain the wisdom you learned. (What you learned from doing it and the recent insight 2. Change. Now you have the power to go a different path. What will it be? What do I know? Only you can know. But you have to act on it NOW. Because NOW your mind is open. Good luck. I believe in you
  14. @Nahm Right, that explains so much for the common mind... :-)
  15. @Tearos Listen... You saying "I don't control my thoughts" doesn't mean ANYTHING. Because you still subconsciously do think you control your thoughts. I do too. Everyone who's not "enlightened" does. I'll explain how LoA works in a very simple way: 1. You want something (consciously) 2. You think about it many times and add an emotion to it 3. The emotion+idea gets planted in your subconscious mind 4. Your subconscious mind, which is your emotional mind, expresses the idea through action of which you do not need to know how it works, but it does 5. Your body expresses a certain action based on your subconscious mind (emotions through idea) 6. A result is created through the expression 7. NOW! HERE is where the magic happens... If the result is bad, your subconscious mind opens up (through a negative emotion) and you can choose if you want to plant a negative or positive belief. Most people, unfortunately, plant a negative belief and say "I cannot accomplish this because I failed", which adds a belief and a potential which leads to a certain action (mostly quitting) which leads to a negative result. But...! If you say "Alright I failed, but what did I LEARN? THEN you can plant that idea in your subconscious (now you can train to do this through awareness) and LEARN and reach success –> THAT's how success is made. Through repetition of failure and collecting of wisdom. ..So how does LoA work if we don't control our thoughts? It is just happening because it is supposed to happen. If "you" fail –> "you" are programmed through biology to react a certain way. If "you" have watched a Leo-video and that planted an idea in "your" mind, then your brain might use that idea next time if it fails and continue anyways. So there is no one controlling the thoughts, but the thought of starting a "Law of Attraction" routine is just an idea planted by something else that is not YOU.
  16. Thanks for response guys appreciate it! :-)
  17. There are two types of purposes: 1. Self-Purpose: Your own passion/what makes you happy. What you are meant to create to create happiness and momentum for You 2. Impact-Purpose: Your self-purpose with a medium (way of expression) to help society evolve. Basically the question of "How can I help other people?" Now why would you want to help other people? Because when you do what you love to do, in the end, when you go full circle, you get the best happiness from other people receiving your greatest passion and using it. After a while it stops being about You (if you do correct self-help work) and you start caring for a larger circle of concerns. This can ultimately lead to a great value in return (aka. money) through the Law of Receiving, the amount of value you receive is in direct volume to the amount of value you give out. This can be both internally (self-purpose/happiness) and external (impact purpose). For example me, I just really love motivating myself and talking to myself/coming up with theories and concepts about psychology and growth. Now this has always been something that made me happy. But I've realized my mission is to spread this information and this ability to other people, so that's what I have to do. I have done tons of market research where I live now and I've realized that what I've taught myself is truly necessary and "profound" over here so my purpose is to make this society aware of it (the city I live in). In your case on business development: Do research! What separates your business idea from others? (Purple cow) And what is your VISION? Do not be afraid to dream big. If it all goes well, what will people tell you? What will they say to you? How will they thank you for what you've done? In the vision it might seem ridiculous, but it is necessary to create a motivation outside of yourself, because that is the greatest motivator: OTHER PEOPLE. Cryptocurrency is a very popular thing nowadays – do you know the market enough? Is there any other app about it? Before you even get started practically you have to be a MASTER on the theory. I spent 9 months studying while I was working as a mailman, listening to audiobooks every single day and writing down the best material. Then you have to collect the information and sort it out, adjust it, and make it your own unique thing. Also then you have to be very creative and visual. What does it look and feel like in your app? Is it simple? Is it complicated? <– These things should be connected to your VALUES. Remember the values exercise? Me, I've always loved freedom and creativity, so I made sure my books looked appealing and had cool concepts within them, drawn and appealing to the eye so the normal person can understand. Also the freedom-part was more personal for me since I wanted to move away from the country I was living in. So I combined my values with something practical, which is necessary. Next, what is the small bet? Is it the app? The app is the finish line isn't it? Or is there more after? You cannot look too far ahead. You can have the vision but you don't have to know every single step for it. Just set small goals for yourself on a daily basis (A-type goals) that are connected to bigger goals (B-type goals) that lead up to your vision (C-goal). If you don't know how it will be made for the greater good/help people.. then YOU DON'T KNOW! But you WILL know in the end. You have to start small. Start with knowing the subject. Study it every single day. Set a routine for yourself. Do market research. Be creative. Build something. Then if you want to know how it will change the world – CREATE A ROUTINE FOR THAT! Sit every day 10 minutes coming up with ideas. That's all it takes. You cannot know the answer yet. Leo made it very clear in his course that the journey is not over after the course. You should only know your purpose, but if you have listened to what he said you can put the pieces of the puzzle together and you'll build your own path. I'll shoot a video about this on my YouTube channel (It's not popular haha, but I do run my own coaching business thanks to Leo's life purpose course. Took me about 1,5 years but it was worth it) you can check it out some day. Good luck and if you have any more questions hit me up.
  18. @quicker_than_purple Nej men titta, lite svenskar här också alltså! Härligt att se ;-)
  19. Seoul, South Korea Anyone else in Seoul? I need to find more like-minded people over here seriously. Feels like talking about personal development over here is another language (which in essence is good because it leaves an open market ;-))
  20. Of course there is nothing wrong with it. But we can always grow. We can ALWAYS grow in every aspect of life. There is just one simple question we have to ask ourselves: "Is this thing making me suffer?" If it isn't (you're enlightened or some shit): Accept it. If it is: Accept it. Become aware of it. Separate yourself from it –> THEN battle it. Not doing anything is foolish. And speakin of Eckhart Tolle, he once answered a question in an interview "So if you experience suffering you just accept it and don't do anything?" He responded "No that would be foolish. It would be as if sitting on the train and not changing seats when you have an annoying drunk man sitting next to you screaming".
  21. @Arkandeus Alright so I guess we shouldn't strive to better ourselves at all then? If I'm an alcoholic I'm just gonna let myself be an alcoholic? If I have anxiety issues there is nothing I'm gonna do to try and change that? I know by the existential nature blablabla there is "NOTHING WRONG OR RIGHT", but that doesn't mean we shouldn't strive to make ourselves better people right? I accept it BUT what I am talking about is the PREVENTION of OTHER people's same mistakes in life. Perhaps even if one person might have woken up and said 'wow... alright maybe this constant drinking and partying won't lead me to a good place' then that is enough. Isn't it? Or you just don't want anyone to strive for anything better for themselves? To become a better person? To master one's own psychology?
  22. If you read my post again I'm never saying he "Failed"? He lived an extraordinary life. Rather watch the documentary instead and his posts and you can clearly see that there was an unnecessary pain within him that didn't have to be there. As a domino effect the alcohol and everything else killed him. And the point is not to say he failed or it was "bad" or "shouldn't have happened" but rather that personal development IS A PREVENTION for these sort of things. Funny how the ego puts projections without even trying to understand what I'm talking about?
  23. The problem with the question is that you think the "present moment" is separate. The present moment can only exist if there is a moment before and a moment afterwards. If there is no past or future then there is no present moment either, since that is a concept. So whatever is happening is happening. It is not happening "Now" and it didn't "happen before" or "will happen" it is simply happening. And trying to conceptualize it to time is completely pointless
  24. @Torkys Can you picture a bunch of newbies going there taking 5-MeO-DMT for the first time and tripping out? It would be a freakshow Best to take alone.
