  1. How about someone who was vegan because of a moral conviction, then changes perspective but stays vegan for reasons of health, habit, taste, being disgusted of eating cadavers... ?

Animals in agriculture are bred and fed only for producing something for humans. Humans end their lives and that's not ideal from the animal's perspective. Yet, without benefit for humans, they would not live at all. If it was possible to ask an animal's soul before birth wether they want to be born, live for a while at least and then be killed, or not live at all, would it agree? If I would ask you if you would rather watch 75% of a movie and never see the end or not watch the movie at all, then it's obvious. But life is valuable, no matter how long. Say you would win 10,000 USD in the lottery. That's not a jackpot. But it's not worth nothing. So, if someone changed their perspective in this way, staying vegan (for other reasons) or not staying vegan, would that have implications of the development stage according to Spiral Dynamics?

  2. Sex is just an instinct that people have. You can watch animals having sex in the Discovery channel. It's comical. Humans having sex is just like that.

Watching porn or generally the interest in seeing images of attractive people comes from the interest in mating opportunities with the most attractive partner possible. Obviously, seeing an attractive image of a super model or an actress in a movie, or a porn performer, is not a real mating opportunity. It's a brain hack of an animal instinct that we have.

Humans look all the same. There are 2 models. Differences are actually not that big. Bodies are vehicles and they are all weird. The human body is just as weird as a platypus or a horse or any other kind of animal. If you have seen one man and one woman naked, you have seen them all. The same goes for porn. It's more or less acrobatic performance. Boring.

Porn is not evil. Everything that is declared bad about sex goes back to men wanting to control women. Men want sex. Women control who gets sex. Men invented morals around women being sexual is bad and implemented it into religion to give it authority. I wouldn't want to do porn or want a girlfriend who did porn but some people have a free attitude towards sex. Why shouldn't they do porn? I don't see anything wrong with that. Women being forced into prostitution is sad but that is something different than a self-confident woman who choses to do porn. Nothing wrong with that.

Did I sufficiently spoil porn for you, yet?

  4. When you consider the total time that the Universe exists, the human life is very brief. You could say, every living being is a dead being on holiday.

Most of the time, you're dead. Your time on Earth is your holiday. There's nothing important to do. If you seek for a deep universal meaning, you will find deep despair. There is no universal meaning, no meaning that is The meaning for everyone. That does not mean that there is no meaning. You can choose one. The backside of that freedom is that you have to choose a meaning. If you don't choose a personal meaning, you'll have none and your stay on Earth won't be enjoyable. It's a hassle but it's still freedom.

The bottom line is: If you're on holiday, the most important thing is to enjoy the experience. Why do people fly to some tropical beach? What's there to do? Why do people fly to Paris, Rome or Tokyo? They walk around, do sight-seeing, go eat. What's the point? I didn't understand this for most of my life. And I was angry that someone put me into this world.

Don't bother killing yourself. You will naturally die in a blink of an eye anyway. Pick something that feels right to do and do that. Enjoy your holiday.

  5. I became inactive in this forum, when I found out about crypto investments. I invested into startup projects that use smart contracts on the blockchain. I never put money into Bitcoin.

But those assets (tokens) relate in market value to Bitcoin. With Bitcoin rising, my 10,000 USD grew to over 500,000 USD in 6 months. I didn't sell anything. Currently, as I am typing this, I have about 50,000 USD.

It's harder now to find good projects and actually get in. Some projects sell only to people who know about them early and invest 100,000 USD or more and never do advertising. Having information early is becoming a competitive advantage. That's because at least 95% of projects are not investible for my standards and the few that are run by professionals who have experience making things happen, those allow very few investors in. And ultimately any new investment in blockchain requires Bitcoin to go up in price again. So the opportunities need to be generated by putting in the time and then you still have to be lucky.

II personally expect Bitcoin to go lower still and then start rising again. Mid-May, there is an important conference in New York. I assume that at that time, Bitcoin will start for another bull run. I also expect it to crash again in a few months. I intend to sell on the way up this time. Obviously, there is zero guarantee, that this will unfold that way. I could lose more. Speculation is about taking risk and crypto is currently the most risky asset class. In 2017, it was the most lucrative. If it's going to be very lucrative in 2018, I don't know. I speculate on it, putting in the time.

I still do research for many hours each day, hunting down projects that few people know about, sometimes months before their official ICO (which is like an IPO where companies sell shares for the first time).

I am interested in sharing work and information with likeminded people. I invest 80 to 120 hours per week researching. I am not interested in giving investment advice to lazy people. But I am happy to answer general questions, if you have any.

People who are also putting in work in research and networking, intel may send me a PM.

People who have professional level skills in marketing (SEO, viral, blog-networks etc. ... what does not work anymore is adwords, FB-ads etc.) would be very welcome. Having marketing people on board could give us as a group extra opportunities and could be rewarded.

The topic is not sexy right now. That's good in my book. These are times of opportunity.
