  1. @waking_dreams good tip thanks!
  2. The results of their experiment, in which seven octopuses took MDMA, were “unbelievable.” “This was such an incredible paper, with a completely unexpected and almost unbelievable outcome,” Judit Pungor, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oregon not involved in the study, told Gizmodo. “To think that an animal whose brain evolved completely independently from our own reacts behaviorally in the same way that we do to a drug is absolutely amazing.” “An octopus doesn’t have a cortex, and doesn’t have a reward circuit,” Dölen, assistant professor of neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, told Gizmodo. “And yet it’s able to respond to MDMA and produce the same effects, in an animal with a totally different brain organization. To me, that means we really need to appreciate that the business end of these things is at the level of the molecule.” https://gizmodo.com/scientists-gave-mdma-to-octopuses-and-what-happened-was-1829191638
  3. haven't read it yet, but this book might offer some insight. "Highlighting the fascinating link between a child’s neurological development and the way a parent reacts to misbehavior, No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears—without causing a scene. Defining the true meaning of the “d” word (to instruct, not to shout or reprimand), the authors explain how to reach your child, redirect emotions, and turn a meltdown into an opportunity for growth. By doing so, the cycle of negative behavior (and punishment) is essentially brought to a halt, as problem solving becomes a win/win situation. Inside this sanity-saving guide you’ll discover • strategies that help parents identify their own discipline philosophy—and master the best methods to communicate the lessons they are trying to impart • facts on child brain development—and what kind of discipline is most appropriate and constructive at all ages and stages • the way to calmly and lovingly connect with a child—no matter how extreme the behavior—while still setting clear and consistent limits • tips for navigating your child through a tantrum to achieve insight, empathy, and repair • twenty discipline mistakes even the best parents make—and how to stay focused on the principles of whole-brain parenting and discipline techniques Complete with candid stories and playful illustrations that bring the authors’ suggestions to life, No-Drama Discipline shows you how to work with your child’s developing mind, peacefully resolve conflicts, and inspire happiness and strengthen resilience in everyone in the family."

  7. Just followed this video, using just frankincense oil and found it very pleasant. Definitely moved up a level in relaxation. I've been using tapping over the last several days and have noticed a levity and peace come over me. seems to need regular application

  9. one little arrow to put into your quiver of wisdom: drinking alcohol interferes with sleep, even if one feels like they are asleep, the body is not reaching the essential restorative levels of sleep that one needs to thrive. THC, nicotine, and caffeine have the same effect. They can be used, just use caution when using them too close to bed. Learning, beauty, health, weight loss, and everything good are affected by sleep. It is one of the single most important things in life. and here is a song
  10. they are different i know the cure for ignorance, but I am not sure I know the cure for delusion
  11. nah, humans actually quite a few similarities to rats/mice which are studied extensively. But, an ignorant person wouldn't know that.
  12. the rat thing is a metaphor that gif is racist
  13. nah I am not puritanical in that way, meditation done correctly would ideally help you enjoy your sex and sunsets even more.
  14. Ha, ignorant and a lack of vision. True to the devil name.
  15. You can sleep every single night connected to the earth, without going outside. with something like this I guarantee it will help. It even helps with emotional problems. Feel better Tasha!
  16. Hey, have you ever heard of earthing? It is surprisingly, actually real.
  17. The only times in my life that I have slept that long are when I have over ingested cannabis. (great pic btw)
  18. I am still a work in progress as well. Here is a good example of me growing and learning in real time. This is an excerpt from a book I am reading " There is an important detail to keep in mind though. Deeper thoughts happen in the unconscious part of your brain. Unlike your conscious mind which traffics in words, your unconscious mind developed long before you could use words, so visual images and sensations are its currency. This matters because there is no image that corresponds to the word "no". Your unconscious brain can't process a negative. In your conscious mind, you can simply negate a concept. As in "no suffering". But your unconscious mind would take that concept and think only of the word it understands, the very word you want to negate, "suffering". Instead of negating a concept you have to replace it with the opposite of that concept. As far as your unconscious mind goes, you can't think of "no suffering". You can think only of happiness. Instead of trying to think about not being at a job you dislike, think about being at another job altogether. Instead of thinking about ending a relationship, think about the new one you would like to start. That is the way to shift your thinking into happy thoughts. Remember happiness is always found in the positive side of every concept." - Solve for Happy So using this information to update the comment I made above Your happiness is all I need as payment. (ooo that is mushy. that syrupy feeling I get is a sign that it works.)
  19. no need to thank me, want to "repay" me? feel better.
