  1. So far my initial impression is that I like it, but I have learned as of late my initial impressions are wrong about 50 percent of the time.
  2. @Joseph Maynor I think from a practical standpoint it is not, and I also think it is dangerous to operate as if it is predetermined.
  3. That was the impression I left with when I watched this video. Especially if you are someone who tries to engage the social climate of the times / politics. A very well articulated and much needed information.
  4. Step 1. Avoid all judgemental/ critical content/ people. Podcasts, news, videos, music lyrics, movies, critical people Step 2. Meditate for at least 5-10 minutes step 3. listen to this for at least 10 minutes Step 4. repeat daily or 2x daily I did this for a week before the holidays and I began to feel a wonderful sense of happiness and well being fill me that lasted all day and all night.
  5. I just went on a sprint of youtube videos, watching them all at two times speed, jumping around my curated list of kindhearted people. I have to say it was so damn refreshing. I was feeling a bit lonely and now I feel satiated. Like I just spent time with good friends I didn't do much speaking, chiming in with gratitude or a helpful comment here and there. Virtual friendships.
  6. Jake Ducey is nice if you like Aaron doughty. Daily Law of attraction/inspirational. He is where I got the idea to listen to affirmations
  7. @Joseph Maynor oh for sure they can be overused, just as they can be underused. I was thinking when I posted this more in terms of how my brain might not know the difference between these videos and real people. And seeing the warm familiar faces sharing knowledge I valued, triggered a sensation similar to being in the company of real people
  8. Didn't have to play it was free with windows 10@h inandout
  9. Hey, Just stumbled upon a cool idea. I got OneNote since the journal video. There is a OneNote extension for chrome. You can pin web pages to it through the extension. Any of the actualized worksheets can be pinned there. Just insert a text box, type your answer, and wa la. It a quick and easy way to do and store worksheets.
  10. Loved the recent blog video, felt like a nice little summation of many of the videos from the last year plus.
  11. A fascinating video describing affirmations and the subconscious mind from a very articulate monk.
  12. Yeah he never really resonated with me, I skimmed and moved on
  13. Hey, these are video's that relate to the reprogramming the subconscious mind part of the Lp course. These are my favorites so far. There is no pointing in the course to exact resources for reprogramming the subconscious mind (at least that I noticed) so I thought I would share these. They are free and high quality. I am listening daily and plan on continuing for the next year plus.
  14. "So the two minds learn differently. The conscious mind is called creative and can learn by reading a self-help book or going to a lecture, watching a video, or reading an article. It is creative, it goes, "ah, I have an idea, now I change my mind." The subconscious mind is a habit mind. And the most important thing about a habit mind is that you don’t want it to change very quickly, because otherwise habits fall apart. So it is resistant to change. That is the first thing we have to realize. It is not as easy to change like the creative mind. So how do I change my subconscious mind? How does it learn? Number one: The first seven years the mind is operating in a low vibrational frequency like hypnosis. So that is one way of changing the program. Number two: After you are seven you form habits by repeating something over and over and over again. Practicing, repeating, practicing." - Bruce Lipton
  15. @pluto Actually I found this article which kind of negates what I said about Bruce Lipton not offering an adequate solution. https://www.brucelipton.com/blog/there-way-change-subconscious-patterns That is a pretty damned good explanation with some points that I didn't consider.
  16. @Anakin It is true, it works. I did it for like a week a few years ago and I would spring out of bed feeling fully rested. I finally got inspired to do it again recently. My surgical tape is on the way!
  17. I will throw this in here. 10 dollar uvex blue blocking glasses, if worn every day a few hours before bed, will help you fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, and wake up in a better mood. http://www.newsweek.com/blue-blocking-glasses-may-help-treat-bipolar-disorder-promote-sleep-484065
  18. @Lynnel For what benefits are you taking baobab?
  19. @Siim Land I have been really reflecting as of late on all of the messages I have received over the years from music, television, video games, advertisements etc. Filling my mind with arbitrary beliefs that I unwittingly took on and accepted.
  20. @Siim Land Very much enjoyed this video, I watched it at 2x speed. One practical and easy application of this knowledge that I will share is listening affirmations. All one has to do it show up, listen, and repeat. It works. I have been doing it for a little over a month now and have noticed surprising benefits. I expect it to be a long time before I get really solid benefits though. Like over a year. It is best to combine this with meditation. One can search youtube for a variety of affirmations. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I was watching one of Leo's video's and I noticed that my attention was getting weak, so i intuitively remembered to turn my flux software more toward the orange and put and my blue light blocking glasses, and my attention became very lucid and easy. Common knowledge to some, but not common practice for me. Remember that blue light can stress the brain and eyes and put unnecessary strain on your attention. Some blue light is healthy, but too much is not. It was a neat discovery for me. Hope it helps someone.
  22. @mitch311 Yeah uvex are proven to block almost 100 percent of blue light, that is what I use. They were 5 dollars not too long ago. I think the lens could be a little clearer, but they are 10 dollars and swannies are like 70. Uvex are a great starting point for sure.
