@Razard86 Rational Wiki. There's an article there about Leo. If you want, check it out for fun.

Right? How much time does microdosing DMT last? Have you tried deliberately shifting your state?

Both approaches have their own benefits and drawbacks, of course. I'm glad I received formal education up until the age of 17. However, the school system is archaic; it feels like Windows 98. As the saying goes: "democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others." In the same way, then: "the current educational system is the worst form of mass education there is, except for all the others." I'm all in for massive transformation of it. On the other hand, introverted and independent individuals like me still conserve their innate curiosity from childhood and passion for learning. Kindling that fire is key, even more so than rote memorization. For us, self-education is and will continue to be a treasure throughout our lifetimes. Following this approach is deeply inspiring and exhilarating since you get to be in the driver's seat. I very much resonate with Robinson's message and teaching style. School kills initiative and creativity for the most part but also gives a mediocre educational foundation for society, which is better than none.

I'd start calling them drugs/psychedelics in order to remain grounded and drop that natural vs synthetic preference. Synthetic is pure. Better not to take the toad which comes with many other extra crap you don't know about. It makes measuring the quantity of the actual chemical harder.

You may have overlooked in the video that he did acknowledged that the "toad juice" could be the closest technology we've got to catalyze enlightenment. When asked about relative stuff one can do to increase the likelihood of enlightenment, he admitted it. Increase the probability of enlightenment, not cause it. In the same way (but not with the same intensity) that a contemplation intensive, for example, makes enlightenment more likely to occur than just sitting around watching yt.

But as a direct consciousness now or as a memory? Do you know who and what you are? If so, are you going to attribute it to anything other than you?
-
You missed his point. What he thinks about it is also irrelevant, and not it.
-
You seem to be conflating consciousness with the decision to live a certain way.

Let me reformulate that: Famous and wealthy: looks are secondary. Financially mediocre but funny, good in bed, socially valuable (charismatic, confident, lots of interesting friends): looks are secondary That was partly a joke. Anyone who wants to can seduce women. Playing the victim isn't necessary. Play with whatever you've got. It can also be improved and added upon.

Self-esteem, also survival.

Be willing to go through the withdrawal symptoms. Confront the cravings without acting them out. Try contemplating why they exist. Become deeply aware of the underlying motivation. Once you've grasped it, drop it. Hopefully, in theory, this is going to free you from that unwanted behavior. But you have to do it, not just think about it.

Social power, to clarify. This is social survival. I remember a story about the animal with the most extravagant, colorful looks wins the game. This involves not only looks but notably other factors like fame and wealth. It's a social show you put on in order to manipulate others (to make them see yourself attractive and interesting). Sure. An "ugly" and famous soccer player can be more successful in this regard than even attractive nobodies. Women look primarily for social status. That already predetermines their perception of a potential mate. Wealthy, famous and funny= ideal recipe.

@Mojoson you're welcome.

Forgot to add: There are several subreddits out there. Look up their wikis, too. There you'll find a plethora of recommended resources. Search Reddit for these and related terms: Microdosing LSD 5-MeO-DMT 1P-LSD Psychonauts Psychedelics Etc.

AL-LAD is a LSD analogue. I enjoyed my trips with it a lot. Pretty gentle, wonderful experiences. Great for reconnecting to the mystical feeling of wonder. Recommended for beginners. I'd imagine it would be ideal for microdosing, too. Of course, start low and slowly increment the dosage with subsequent trips.

Jesus: "come on, man, drop some acid. Love thy neighbor, especially the one who lends you his pipe." Buddha: "three things cannot be hidden for long: LSD, DMT, and psilocybin mushrooms."

That's my point. You can be enlightened (consciousness) but not necessarily make intelligent choices (intelligence). -
No method is direct. It is not a process resulting from previous behaviors that caused it.

Smart but not intelligent. Subtle distinction. What are the differences? Honestly, I'm not clear on that. Intelligence seems to involve something more than smartness, like a deeper self-awareness, perhaps. You could say people like Putin are smart but not intelligent. -
That "technology" is already present, and it is called you! Have a direct experience to see for yourself. It is direct, meaning you do it. Metaphorically speaking: What technology can be invented within the matrix that will make you transcend it? By definition, it still is part of that world. The one who escapes (awakens) is you. No method is direct. Direct is you. The eye seeing itself, so to speak. There won't ever be a technology of that kind because you are you. The question wouldn't arise in the first place if you were now directly and deeply conscious of your nature. What would that technology do? It'd still be limited to physiology. Modify the brain however you like, enlightenment is not about the brain -- or the body, for that matter.

Not basing my claims on any model. That involves education, as you say. Wiser and more conscious? I don't know about that. Maybe. Perhaps the difference between these people is education and awareness, being willing to acknowledge stuff and to be relatively impartial. I don't readily assume that political views and wisdom/consciousness are interrelated. What if Leo voted for Trump? Haha You can be profoundly conscious of who and what you are and still be illiterate and make poor choices. Nissargadatta is an example. He was enlightened, illiterate, and smoked like crazy (a dumb lifestyle choice), if I recall correctly. -

Nahh, you're conflating knowledge, wisdom and consciousness. None of those are mutually inclusive. -
It's fun trying I'm convinced some philosophers had enlightenment experiences: Da Vinci, Heraclitus, Plotinus, Parmenides, Kant, Dogen (obviously, but also produced philosophical work), maybe Wittgensteing, Hegel and Heidegger, too. Point being, philosophers gonna philosophize, bitches. Lol
