@Bill Eichman interesting, thankyou very much and @WelcometoReality as welll. I have been contemplating recently and it is truly like nothing else, I feel like I am doing it right as well because I am just totally absorbed into it when I am in it and just feels like I am introspecting deeply about who I am etc...what is reality. -
There has been a question on my mind for quite some time now about 'Enlightenment'. It's something I don't hear mentioned or answered a lot when people or teachers discuss it. My question is, does the longer you spend without attaining or having any experience of Enlightenment make it harder/a more painful unwiring process for you to do it in the future? For example, would it be easier for a 20 year old to attain or seek Enlightenment than a 60 year old (someone who has spent 40 extra years within the ego and has therefore theoretically has become more attached and believing of it's truth) or would it make no difference whatsoever? This is an interesting question I think and I have heard different things from different teachers, Rali for example from 'Naked Reality' if any of you have heard of him (regardless of what you think of him) used to say that it is better to attain or at least try to pursue Enlightenment earlier in your life because the longer you leave it the more attached to your ego identity and therefore the harder it will become, he said. Or maybe the difficulty level or your Enlightenment has something to do with your openhandedness or strength or character and conviction to attaining it instead? I honestly have no idea! Please only answer this question if you have had legitimate experiences of Enlightenment or are Enlightened, otherwise without sounding rude your opinions are as much speculation as mine because we don't really know what we are talking about. Whereas an Enlightened 60 year old and 20 year old could clarify this question to me perfectly on here as they would be able to say how easy/hard it was comparatively (between them both) to become Enlightened. If you could answer this question for me I would be very grateful, thankyou.

Wow!! Got some really really helpful advice from people here, like really helpful! Thankyou so much. @Michael569 I will try them yes...it will be interesting to see what results they bring. @Emerald interesting, didn't know that if it's true. @Samra @TheSomeBody I will try this out yes, advice I haven't heard anywhere else! @pluto also very interesting and helpful advice, I will see what it does. Yeah as I said just so everyone knows I am not overweight or anything, I just have a bit of excess fat around the breast, body, chin and face area that I would like to iron out as I would most certainly look better without it. The double chin is interesting because it comes and goes, some days it basically isn't there at all and other days it is more prominent, but still not the extent where if I lowered my head there would be a huge roll of double chin fat there lol! I eat quite healthily atm as well which is what I don't get about it, I don't really eat any meat except fish and chicken occasionally, have organic fruit and veg every day, but I don't have nuts and some of the other stuff you guys are saying on here which I fear I probs have to have now, as I fucking hate the taste of nuts and alot of the vegetables that you all have mentioned. Some vegetables foe example I have daily are brocolli, spinnach, cucumber, carrot etc and an apple and banna. All organic as I said and I only drink water really, no energy drinks or coke or horrible shit like that. I walk alot, although haven't been doing cardio atm...and I don't sweat that much to be fair, which is probably what I need reguarly in some form or another as well I would imagine to burn some of it away lol.

@2000 I think you need to explain a bit more if you can. Like how do you feel now, did it stick with you? Sounds like a very interesting experience though I have had stuff like this but it goes immediately...sometimes can be due to overthinking and your mind starts to create the sensations of an experience that isn't happening. I don't deny you had an enlightenment experience though. -
@Tistepiste very very interesting question...I am actually the opposite of you, I barely ever have anything else other than water except milk occasionally, and I don't have any negative effects from this either. I would highly recommend drinking water as it is the ultimate cleanser for your system and whilst milk is obviously good and both are bad if you have too much, water is simply what you need to keep healthy I feel, when I have had days with little water or tried to substitute it for something else I feel extremely dehydrated and my body is crying out for it, but maybe you have a different metabolism than me? Interesting...also what @pluto says yes coconut water is great as well, may not be mineral water but it pretty much the same and has the same effects. So my advice would be, if you can, cut down on the milk a bit and try getting into water and you can have and enjoy both in moderation

I am surprised this post got so much reception to be honest. Thanks everyone to weighed in with their opinion here....there seems to be some correlation with what you are saying.

@Hello from Russia Hi! I found my LP through the LP course on Actualized.org, shortly put. I am an illustrator, which is what I remember now I long forgot and buried from my childhood. The LP course is specially designed through various exercises to dig out your LP, I would say if you listen carefully and follow the instructions it is 100% guaranteed to unlock what you already know deep inside you. I didn't go to university because it isn't aligned with my LP. I just need to practice at home and pay the bills via a normal job in the meantime, simple really. The book that helped me the most was 'Flow' by Mihaly Csikszentmihaly, because it describes how you feel feel when you are doing your LP, the special experience of flow which I experienced as well and it is quite amazing really, it is exactly how it is described in the book!

Thankyou @cirkussmile very helpful advice! Just so you know I am not planning to wait 40 or even 1 year to start, I have already started contemplating it etc...but I was just wondering since I am 19 would it be harder than if I did it when I was 16 or so? But as you said, I was nowhere near ready mentally when I was 16, didn't even know about enlightenment or have the curiosity/ drive to look into it ....so I suppose the time is now? -
@Nadosa I was going to post but @zoey101 pretty much said what I was going to say, I would give the same advice as well.

@Extreme Z7 brilliant question! Both of us have nearly the exact same problems and it is uncanny! I had been unemployed for just over a year until recently as well and have had probably over 17 denied application forms, over 10 didn't bother to even get back to me. I don't know much about software, game development or computer science but @Elisabeth seems to know what she is talking about! Know you are not alone with trying to escape from your parents and live alone (which would be like a paradise on earth for me as well) and trying to work on your LP while you try to keep financially stable. I am 19 and am pretty much in the same exact situation as you although I have JUST got employed now basically....and this was EXTREMELY lucky as this job didn't have many other people applying for it as it wasn't on the usual job sites where the endless masses of people apply for it (meaning tons of competition). Basically, to get this job what I needed to do was volunteer (free labor) for 2 months at a dog walking place, which in short helped me get this dog walking job easily as I had the experience they wanted. I know you probably don't want to hear that as free labor sucks, I know, but it makes your resume/CV so much better because it shows you have had work experience, also try to cut down your resume to as concise as possible because lazy-ass employers only read up to like 2 pages worth...although I live in England so that is how it works over here just so you know. I got much more reception from employers when I cut down my resume because as I said, the lazy asses won't like to read anything they deem 'too long', even if that is something like 2 pages which of course you and me both know if not long. Hope this helps, get back if you need anymore help I know you have experience in Computer Science but employers only care about actual work experience you have, is what I have found. I know it is stupid, because you are obviously experienced in this field, but until you have volunteered or had a job working in it then it's going to be hard to get on the job ladder. Also as for interviews, yes @Elisabeth again knows what she is talking about I would say. Just bullshit it, be all smiley and confidence, if you can fake that just to get the job. It isn't your LP but I am sure you can squeeze your way through it!

@Nagma the fact that you are not taking anti-depressents is a great start, most people consume them like candy...you are aware of the dangers of this at least.

I know EXACTLY how you feel man! You are literally an identical description of myself a few years back, 100% true I swear! The thing that saved me was meditation, if you can manage to get a habit of 20-30 mins of that every day for even 1 year, you will attain a level of awarness where you are able to have control over these thoughts and will be a completely different person, I promise, as I was EXACTLY where you are (even in regards to wanting to sleep as it brings more enjoyment and pleasure than waking life) and meditation turned everything around for me, I started meditating when I was like 17 so you can start now! Btw, I am 19 and all is not perfect with me either, so you are not alone, I still have TONS of work to do on women and relationships, my health (as not at a weight I want and still not had sex etc etc...), and am struggling in many other ways as well, maybe even moreso than you, but I am ok with that as I working every day to end these problems and have hope in me that I can beat them or at least accpet them. Are you at college atm or university? I finished college but now am moving onto a job as uni is insanely expensive and a waste of time over here in England Today in fact I have woken up feeling a bit like you, which is rare but it still happens, days where I am sick of it all, you know? Sick of living with my parents, sick of people, sick of trying, sick of problems, sick of life in general...so again you are not alone.

Thinking about getting muscles in the future after toning out my entire body, so this would include the legs, arms and of course torso where most of the muscles would be most visible. Have searched up all the health benefits but so much varied opinion that contradicts each other, it hurts my head. What do people on here think of the health benefits of muscles, aka a '6 pack', is it good for at all, or is it just for show, and being skinny/lean would be healthier?

Thankyou all for your advice so far, is helpful

@Charlotte hello again! From what I have found, different brains, different studying techniques. For example, if I am trying to learn or memorise something, I cannot do so while reading it online, it has to be written down on paper for the information to go into my mind, also I have a photographic memory which only works when something I need to study in front of me on paper, I can memorise entire pages for example word by word. So the key to your question in my opinion is to try and figure out how your mind works, how does YOUR mind process information? Because it won't be the same as mine no doubt, not being able to revise or absorb information from reading it online and having to write it down is very exclusive to my brain, you will probably be able to revise from both internet and paper but you may not have a photographic memory! Also, I wouldn't study with music as it is too distracting for me personally and my mind, even it was something like a 432hz healing mantra in the background, I have to be able to focus on one thing at a time, again, you may be able to do both, just experiment with it all, and you will soon find out how your brain processes info! Also I don't know any foods that would help brain power except for banana honestly...

@SFRL yes that is what I was asking, I didn't know if it was possible to never get rejected honestly...You see these guys like Zan perrion who I have just found out about and others and it just seems that they ar eirresistible and their techniques are fullproof. I guess you just never see these guys get 'rejected' on camera, you only ever see them have success with women, freaky. It is interesting to read all of your replies, I know this question feels like it has been beaten to death but to hear all of your own opinions based personal experiences around women is enlightening! Alot of you are older than me as well so you are bound to know more.
-
@RendHeaven your's sounds the most accurate advice so far if I do say so myself, just sounds right....not faking I guess, being totally yourself around women and not trying to impress them, as being authentic in itself will attract them, I guess? Another question would be are there just some women who cannot be attracted by any man, for whatever reason? Like does pickup work on 90% of women, or 100%?

You all have alot of interesting and varied points that is for sure, as I thought you may, thanks for your advice so far everyone.

@okulele usually 3 times a day, in morn (10-12am), around middle of day (2-4pm) and then in late afternoon (7-8pm) that usually is enough to fill my fat ass morn is just 2 slices toast, middle of day maybe a sandwitch or something like that with some crisps, and then late afternoon dinner, vegetables, fruit, rice, veggie burger or jacket potato etc...I would get very hungry if I didn't have at least one of these meals I feel, and I don't have any snacks in between any of these no, the meals themselves seem to be enough to sustain me throughout the day Good question though!! I am interested as well to see how often people eat and how long they can go without getting hungry....

Light Lover replied to Investing_in_myself's topic in Life Purpose, Career, Entrepreneurship, Finance
@Investing_in_myself This is really good question, I got stuck on this part of the course as well. I agree with @Quanty however as well, I am the only one who can inspire myself personally is what I found, and as Leo said himself you this course is custom-tailored to you! If you don't have any idols or role models, then that is fine, you are probably like me, motivated only by visions you set yourself, not the ones role models set out for you etc...If I did have to choose any role models though I would say Bruce Dickinson and Andi Deris of the band 'Helloween', have a look at them if you want, they are really down to earth artists! Even though they are musicians and I am an illustrator they still give me some inspiration in terms of remembering being respectful, hard working and honest to oneself and others no matter how successful you get P.S: This role model part of the course also depends on what your LP is, you are more likely to find your 'idols' if you know what your LP is. For example, if you are a musician, then your idols will most likely be musicians, or if want to be a movie director, then your idols will most likely be a movie director as they are the same as you at the core, the same soul and creative intentions, you see what I mean? I do hope this helps -
My Life purpose is illustration (that is my domain of 'mastery/spend 10,000 hours+ on to master'). I have tried everything to try and find the proper technique to try and START on the path of mastery, but I can't find it!! I have checked in books, on the internet, even looking at expert illustrators themselves, and all I can seem to find is info like 'how to draw this better, or how to improve your positions and backgrounds'! (Because of course none of them have actually mastered it themselves. and I have tried emailing the experts and they either don't have emails or their secretary sends back a useless message like, 'this question is impossible to answer ( when I ask how do I MASTER illustration). I am really legitmatley getting scared now because I have tried so long, and I am worrying that I may be stuck on this for a fucking eternity before long, I don't think ANYONE seems to know how to master illustration, and I struggle with small things like this, it dosen't come naturally to me to just know what to do on it, espcially due to the fact that illustration itself is obviously a very vast and complicated field, but it does have a way to master it. It sounds so stupid, to get stuck right at the start of the mastery process, not even being able to start it because I don't know HOW to master it!! Anyone here have any advice, are illustrators themselves? Thankyou very much if you can help or even try to help.

@Epiphany_Inspired thankyou! And thanks all for your comments, sorry about the late reply, been busy. I will see what I can do.

I'm not going to post my work because it is private, I think you have all said what can be said, simply, showing all of you my work isn't going to change any of your advice unless you ARE illustrators and have been at this stage before and therefore can help me progress, and if that is the case I will private message you .
