How do you account for the fact that studies show conservatives are happier in pretty much every country?

I think it’s pretty clear Russia would be fucking with its neighbours with or without NATO expansion. NATO is just an excuse. 2014 invasion of Crimea happened after his puppet leader in Ukraine was democratically ousted, nothing to do with NATO.
