Don't even need that disclaimer at the end. Know this people, it is extremely powerful no matter how you use it. Extreme positivity. Or extreme negativity. Please, if you're considering any psychedelics, INFORM YOURSELF WITH RESEARCH BEFORE. https://www.erowid.org/, is a trusted source I believe if you look around. Believe me, you will not be happy if you skip this. It doesn't go away for about 8 hours.

I was thinking about this as well. Hope there's enough people that would be interested in this to make it happen sometime. I attribute my experiences on LSD hugely for assisting in breaking patterns and being open to new information. Not saying that U NEED DRUGS MAN IF U WANNA BE BETTER But it is a, imo, an extremely powerful resource if used correctly and treated with respect.

Yes, good addition my friend. However, I would consider the Ego as an advanced mechanism for survival. Not saying that it is the only instinct for this aspiration of being alive though. -

Yes. However I think it is important to reconcile the difference between cause and effect, and purpose. I'm onboard with the belief of evolution and mechanisms for survival. I'm not so sure where I stand on purpose though. What do you think about an objective purpose? What is the purpose of running away from the tiger, why should you survive? Inevitably, the sun will swallow the earth. -
I was thinking about this too. But atleast time wasted here is better then time wasted in for example video-gaming. NO LET ME HAVE MY RATIONALIZATIONS STFU - - moderator pls ban me if i spend too much time her kthx

I believe it could be the success of an deeply rooted unhappy ego. Here's some words I've written down some time ago, for purpose of potential use at music composition. No name: "It's either you or me There will be one death Or two Which will it be. Kill yourself. Or kill the thought of killing yourself. Either way is fine Either way is fine You will cease to exist." Mental Suicide: "Commit suicide In order to survive Kill your --- self If you want to live The suicidal person you are Needs to be killed Or it will take you with it" -

Binaural beats, cool. For me, it's mostly without music. But it's nice to use sound too. (Love to listen to Shpongle and drift away) Come thinking about it, when I put on recordings of rain, it sometimes inspires a meditational setting. What do you think of guided meditations? -

I'd imagine that end of illusion means truth. Are you saying that it is only possible that one can be enlightened as the manifestation as a humanbeing? -

Is physical death forced instantaneous enlightenment? -
I was trying to think of one, but I don't think I can. I feel like most of them appear relevant in certain circumstances.

Beautiful. Interesting thoughts, I'm not sure I've spent enough brainpower on deeply understanding the separation of Ego, Id, and Superconsciousness. Makes me think of a computer reading a disk. It seems like consciousness, and where the true self resides, is in the force that is reading, and not what is being read. -

To make it clear: It's not that I'm thinking actively about this and feel good about it. More like a silence of bliss that follows when giving this perspective a chance. -

Is the calm feeling one gets from considering this possibility a lie, not the goal, not helpful? Mental masturbation. Meditation high. -
Name: Simon Zackrisson Age: 22 Gender: Male Location: Gothenburg, Sweden Occupation: Student Marital Status: Single Kids: No Hobbies: Writing Music, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Singing, Healthy Eating (Addicted to mixing healthy vegetables in blender), Krav Maga, Computer Gaming :P, Smoking Weed, Psychedelic Drugs, Chess, Philosophy, Psychology.. Yeah wtf.. One could keep going. Been attempting to become a better version of myself for about two years now, with the initial inspiration emanating from stumbling over a Podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience. (This person Joe Rogan will Always have a special place in my heart.) After that, things started to become exponentially better, and as momentum in the right direction was being built, I stumbled over another vortex of positive energy. Guess three times of what place I'm thinking about now. What else. I like to try to see humour in a lot of things, including dark humour. I think this has been partly cultivated by the negativity I've experienced throughout my life. I can't really say that I've had tragic reasons in a conventional sense for the episodes of heavy depression, but I can say that I've had quite some dark periods in my life. Personal challenges I've overcome: Basically quit cigarette smoking (Months without smoking, never said I quit though, since I will smoke if see fit. It's so disgusting though, it's almost like I wouldn't have a problem never touching it again.) Formed healthy exercise routines, will include yoga in soon future. (Need to become more flexible. Perhaps more spirituality will come for free as well. ) Established priority for better sleeping routines. (This has been, and still is, one of my worst arch enemies.) Drastically reduced my distraction using video-games. Started following a diet called LCHF, where you change your body's fuel from carbohydrates to natural fat. I have love for meat and fish. With more. What I am working on now is basically to keep fuelling positive momentum, keeping aspirations in composing music alive, reduce overall anxiety, footsteps of enlightenment. And more.

This raises a sceptical side of me. It seems like everyone despises this poor thing, little ego... /: Would you say that there is a positive side to the ego too?

@MaydayB4 By the way, it is in line with guidelines to add some further ideas to the ideas already posted in this section of the forum? Or should both this as well as extensive discussion be avoided?

Another take on this is the sad fact that some people will never give spirituality a chance, because some poisonous influences (e.g. fake gurus) got to them first. They might give something a shot, and when utter disappointment (and perhaps embarrassment too) is the result received, begin to discredit the entire thing as fucking woo-woo. -
Fucking love Wim Hof. I recently read this somewhere: "When you stand for the rights of one individual, you stand for the rights of every individual." It hit me rather hard.. Nothing new really but still affected me.

Namaste. (I don't feel pretentious at the moment actually.) Although, I'm sure my critical thinking will kick in again and again in this field for me. I wonder if there is such a thing as enlightenment, with a side of balanced critical thinking. -

Cool. Would you say that you identify more as a human-being, or as the universe experiencing itself as a human-being? I'll be honest and say that at the moment, I feel like a human-being trying to understand something. Although I'd be lying if I didn't say I feel a little something in the background .. -

Just read it through fast, instant intuition: Beautiful. Now, on with the analysing of what you said. -

Was kinda thinking the "standard" definition? I like Leo's clear way of putting it: Who is it that is nodding their head now? -
I do share the enthusiasm that this forum could serve as a place to help people ground themselves, and rely on the fact that tough love will be received. Cheers, to embracing impending death with a smile.
