Ah yes, the problem of democracy! When the sheep vote, they will not elect the goat. "Barabbas, in the New Testament, a prisoner mentioned in all four Gospels who was chosen by the crowd, over Jesus Christ, to be released by Pontius Pilate in a customary pardon before the feast of Passover." As for Aliens, I have seen the other day some lights in the sky, like many lights in a straight line, no sound, they looked like stars, but moving in a straight line. Many others have seen the same sighting or so I believe. I saw it with a friend, I wasn't alone there. However, it could be something else too. My friend got spooked tho. Some things are better left unknown. -
Im here to help! You can unlock levels of imagination that are unimaginable! Kind of like your dreams, you have way more imagination when you are impersonal. Don't try to imagine things, but rather see what your imagination has in store, you just be the observer of it. If you can see black only, thats a great start. You have the canvas. Now you can imagine a white dot on it? Try enlarging the dot. Imagine it in another colour. Imagine the black only as another colour too. Zoom in, zoom out, play around that plane of imagination. Start small. In my opinion if you start imagining dots, lines, circles, triangles, basic shapes, then your mind will get the building blocks to imagine more complex things further. Or get more tuned with the imaginative part of yourself. You can try a visualisation technique I like which is to go to the edge of your experience now and "see" what is beyond there. You might get an impression of seeing something from your imagination. Even if not, just do not identify with what you saw and centre as the empty (or otherwise very small) being that is able to see that space of imagination beyond the edge of your visual perception. Then keep watching for what that empty being sees, and keep grounding as that being - which is not hard as it is the one who sees. Tell me if you get any visualisations from this. Its basically self inquiry using the imaginary plane.

Your mother could have the same realisation of being God and dreaming a Leo up? How would it be horrifying, unless connected somehow with the Leo pov / feelings or the mother pov / feelings. What is the difference between your mother realising she is God, you realising it and me realising it.? We would feel like crying about different things, right? What makes these differences if reality is solipsistic? Solipsism for me would mean only I can awaken and others are damned to be part of my sleep... -
All I know is that having you around is an asset to me, because humans help each other and achieve things together that one individual can't alone. I don't know, but I intuit and that is a type of knowledge. I can verify by observing. I know you cannot program this. Its so real. The now
-
But Leo, what if I imagine that reality is not imagined, but real? Does it then become not imagined and real? ?
-
Its funny you use the ball analogy, I just watched Christiano Ronaldo tested "to the limit" and in one of the tests they curve a ball at him and turn off the lights. His subconscious software works so refined that he is still able to hit the ball and score. He has achieved mastery over football really But cool what you're saying is fine, but I am really not sure thats what that guy was talking about. I think he meant it more literal.
-
How would you know you are not utterly fooling yourself. If you fool yourself well enough, you wont know the difference between really directly experiencing someone else's point of view and just imagining something that is just not true and call it true. I actually hate people who play the psychologist and pretend to know why you do what you do etc etc.. You must be that guy on another level, even thinking he knows my direct experience lol - but will keep silent about it so the truth that he doesnt know my direct experience wont surface! That would be fun... I don't find it foolish. If someone can access my experience I want it proved. Why the heck not? I can tell you I can poop gold. But I will never show you, you just gotta trust me and if you're conscious enough you will start to crap gold too. What's so hard about proving the claim? The only thing hard about it is if the claim is wrong.
-
Trust me if you did not have a direct experience you would not be able to function (and talk about direct experience like you are). Check out how robots are doing. Also it is not like everyone is trying to prove they have a direct experience to fool you. You can see some random normies outside and they are all going to give you a hint that they have direct experience even if they do not want to.,
-
You cannot be sure that you got all the information. You cannot be sure that you are not just projecting what other is experiencing based on your biases. To me it seemed like erik is making a radical claim. Such a claim needs a radical evidence. If he meant what you say, he would've said it. Not to sound cryptic.
-
I get you. Many are using this analogy, it's the go-to analogy. Here's where it fails. It's all fine and good to say what you're saying, yeah! It is correct. But you miss one tiny thing. If others do not have a perspective at all in real life, then why did you assume I have experience of dream at all? It appears you take it for granted that I experience waking dream and sleep such as yourself? How could I have an experience of waking dream and sleep, and you have an experience of waking dream and sleep? And how do we say which first hand reality is absolute? They either both are or neither of them are.
-
It is a bit weird how I can imagine something that I am not aware of / never will be... I guess I do imagine my dreams without being aware of them beforehand, so that mechanism is possible. But it is just a bit too unbelievable haha!
-
Man you cant just say that. You see you are making a claim that is provable. It sounds very flashy and advanced and since you obviously know how, please have an experience of my experience then tell me stuff. I am absolutely open minded to believe you if evidence is presented. I allow you to come see my experience as me from my point of view. Good luck... By telling people to verify for themself something impossible, you are just sending them on an endless journey to a achieve something unachievable. Then when they do not achieve it (no shit) they will just think the problem is they are not conscious enough. Give me a break!! That's why evidence is important! You achieve it first, then give proof that you experienced my experience and then I will have enough evidence that its possible to try myself. You don't have and will not be able to present me such evidence. How do I know that? Even without having access to your experience? ❤ contemplate that
-
You're claiming one can experience other peoples experience also if conscious enough. Big claim, provable claim, no proof exists, therefore I call bs. Someone else cannot have my direct experience - try your best. Take whatever psychedelic you want and call Leo too and buddha! I know for a fact only I can be and know me. There is no separate entity here that is experiencing me, so there cant be another one experiencing me (there is Not Even One) But nice try it sounds woke.

here is what Leo responded to me on another thread on this subject.

you can try me, I like to think I can understand "wacky" ideas and am able to hold paradoxes for inspection. It appears that I am identified with the wrong thing (with this point of view), which leads to this confusion. But maybe not since you wrote the following: You yourself here claim that said person cannot escape 1st person perspective. So you appear to assume he has a 1st person perspective, such as yourself. This is the same assumption I do when I say life is not solipsistic. There are 7 billion different human 1st person perspectives that we know of. Lets not include animals and other beings etc.. Now we are all connected by the field of the present moment, but if you're saying the 1st person perspective is the One Reality and not just a perspective out of the whole, then you are clearly saying there are 7 billion different realities and they are all the One reality... How? To me it is obvious that there are 7 billion different perspectives that are connected by the One Reality of Now. It is the now itself, not any perspective out of the 7 billion, that is the reality. So we can say reality is solipsistic only if we all identify with the present moment itself and then only the present moment exists, which is absolutely true, but wouldn't be any of our relative experience alone. But what you appear to be doing is you're saying that your POV is absolute and if everyone follows this teaching and gets to "I am the only reality" I bet it would cause mayhem. Just like in my dreams where everything is acceptable. That's because most people who would follow this teaching will not be identified with the present moment, but rather with their bodymind organism and their first person perspective "within that" bodymind organism. Basically, will mix Truth of Oneness with Ego and we will have 7 billion people thinking they are the one and only God... Now they can go do anything, it was exactly the solipsistic mindset that can be seen in SoonHei and this cannot be denied, even if what you're saying is absolutely true in absolute sense after you take more psychedellics... Lets mention also that SoonHei did use psychedelics. TLDR: In my opinion solipsism is milk mixed with poison. It looks like milk, tastes like milk, it's probably milk... The poison is not visible, but it is relevant. I think solipsism is Truth mixed with ego. -

So you're saying Leo needs to also stop at " I am. Infinite imagination". in all of his videos, instead of 2-3 hour long content? Otherwise he is not conscious he is The Reality? Cause he is talking in videos about solipsistic nature of reality, which, by your definition, would mean he is not fully conscious that he is [The Reality]. It appears if you become conscious you are "The Reality", you become a tree, by your words. -
Dodo replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is a wrong assumption, because I am not just listening to Spira and following his words like a belief system, nor yours, nor Eckhart's nor anybody. As you say, I check in my own experience and verify. I am not always on the same boat as Rupert and would voice my disagreements on his channel. But it is exactly this problem here about self-deception and how tricky it is. You talk about having an experience of higher state of consciousness and you know about the solipsistic nature of reality. You are somehow absolutely sure that you wouldn't even entertain the idea that it is not solipsistic and just brush it off as lower consciousness stuff. A solipsistic reality would mean that you would deny that I have a conscious experience of my own and would mean that I am just a figment of your imagination. And vice versa, from my point of view, you would be figment of my imagination and I am the only reality... Right... So which one is it, am I the reality and you the imagination in my dream, or are you the reality and I am the imagination in your dream? How could both be the case? And if both are the case, then we can see both of us as reality and both of us as imaginary. Applied to wider population we can say this about every being on the planet and other planets and dimensions. I can tell you from my point of view, I am the reality and you appear to be my imagination. And you would say the opposite to me, that I am the imagination, but I would know that you are not right, because from my point of view, I am the reality. This is where solipsism fails. -

1:34:30 "I am not immune from self deception" I am very glad you say this. I want to present to you something rather obvious that would contradict your realisation about your parents being imaginary and this solipsistic view of reality. Rupert Spira has this simple question "Are you aware?" that he presents to people. When answered truthfully, everyone must respond "Yes" to this question, including your parents. We go on to investigate - what could be aware, other than awareness itself? So it appears awareness is aware-ing in multiple different packages / points of view. You as Leo's first person point of view is just one of many different packages. Your parents are other packaging of the same stuff. Since this stuff, consciousness, is location-less and property-less, we do not see it in others as we verify our own awareness in our own experience. We cannot verify that others are awareness, but they can and we can believe them. I certainly believe that you have a direct experience just as I do, even if I will never be aware of it directly. So saying your parents are imaginary is to say that they are not Awareness itself. But they are, because they are aware. -

1:04:00 you talk about Christianity , and how we can make anything dangerous when we misunderstand etc.. But in Christianity in particular there is a safeguard rail. It is very commonly known for Christians that if you commit suicide you won't be allowed in the kingdom of Heaven. Basically exactly what SoonHei was looking for with that jump - to find/ be in heaven itself. If he believed a little bit that what Christianity is saying is relevant, it would have challenged his idea that jumping would get him quick access to that. He would probably be here if he had more of a Christian background and had this doubt about the suicide being "Good", because there is "nowhere else to go". About "Repent and you will be allowed in Heaven" being like a visa to do anything, it might appear like that, sure.. But I have had an insight about that one... How would one feel, when in Heaven, knowing that they don't deserve it... It would not be a good feeling and it would make heaven into a kind of hell, where you are like an undeserving dirt. I want to deserve it even a little bit, and using Jesus' sacrifice as a visa to do anything is not part of that. I know I do sin and I have a sinful nature, but I am not actively trying to be that. I attempt my best, but I am not going to be perfect in this human form. All that is wanted of us is to do our best. Our best is definitely not to say "Well since Jesus died for my sins, lets go and sin for the lols" This is not a critique on your teachings, it is a critique of your critique of Christianity. -

@Leo Gura Absolutely agree with this. We cannot all have the same opinions on everything and it would stunt growth if we all were just circlejerking each other. I don't like to argue. If I disagree with something or don't partake in it, it doesn't mean I put it in the garbage pile and know its bad/wrong. I have a section in my mind under question mark and these things I do not agree with might later be changed - or not. I love Leos work on self inquiry and I believe there should be tolerance and room for practicing spirituality without using psychedelics and still using this forum. That said, I am a user of -5meo-THC which is considered a mild psychedelic. Regarding Leo's teachings about death, from my understanding, put simply, he does not support or encourage suicide, because he talks about how this experience now, including the experience of having a body, is actually nothingness /death itself. So one would only want to get rid of the body to experience death if they believed they are not already dead. Leo's teachings are absolutely the opposite. If you do not identify with the body, why so eager to get rid of it? If you're already dead, why the need to experience "conscious death". Etc, etc.. When realising you're not your car, you wouldn't smash your car to bits, it is still a useful tool. It does, however, make it easier to let go of the car when it's time comes, which is a positive. The problem comes when the milk (truth) gets mixed with the poison of the egoic mind and create a story that appears to be true, because it looks like milk... -

Great question, even though probably shouldn't be in this thread.. That depends, is your cousin aware? See for you it might not have happened, but for him it has, since he is awareness also, not just you. You are both holding space and have different equally real or unreal experiences.
