Sorry, but completely wrong. So you do the meditation reciting mantra yes! But you do it for 15 minutes. The other 5 minutes are more important though for transcending the self, u need to send some money to me over my paypal because that way ur self becomes selfLESS (less money, get it?) ! Yeah Enjoy -
Don't worry about that, I know that time is an illusion and that all there is is the now. I know my idea is an idea, but it can't be otherwise, as I can't communicate a non-idea. You are also communicating an idea. Also I just started reading an Osho book and the things about seeking you're saying in your next comment.

Still not sure, because the things you're saying are different to other things I've read and heard about enlightenment. Ultimately that doesn't matter, right? We're playing the language game here.
-
Wait, so by saying you were enlightened earlier you just meant you are you? Like anyone can say they are enlightened and be correct? My idea of non-enlightened is someone that is still burdened by his mind (like me), so I wouldn't say I'm enlightened. Maybe after I remove the dirt from the window (the mind) I will be!

have you considered maybe you haven't reached enlightenment but are just thinking you did? Isn't it when someone says they're enlightened they aren't? Something like saying you are humble means you're not humble, because to be humble you have to just be humble and by saying it you are ultimately missing the point?

I thought it's a good idea he jumps into it. Any suffering will be helpful to the process. -
Sounds to me like you're digging into Ego stuff here. Isn't the idea of enlightenment to realize that there is no actual *you* perceiving everything else? Especially with the free will, you are only feeding what you want to realize you're not? Or am I wrong?

Is strong determination sitting about sitting in a chair or in a lotus position? I couldn't see that information anywhere. -
you are

But many advanced spiritual people say that enlightenment being rare is a myth? (Or worded differently, I do not remember the exact thing)

Unfortunately being unsuccessful money-wise is part of the reason of my situation, so I can't see a psychiatrist/psychologist. I do read psychology books however and spiritual ones. I wouldn't consider myself mentally ill (probably no-one does, but still), the reason I was ready to end my life was that I didn't believe I have the energy to keep "fighting" and also had the realization that life is infinite a couple of days before - I can't really explain it, but I had these "memories" that after I've died before (previous lives?) I suddenly am in the most beautiful place one can imagine and that my whole "life" was an illusion / hell. I was ready to see if I was right. Also my suicidal attempts were triggered by the loss of a lot of money, so I wouldn't worry about me going to be doing anything like that in my life again, especially after I've started to dig deep into my emotional states with meditation and with the ability to stop thinking.

I disagree with your view. Life is not an ego fest of who will gain more than the rest and "level up". Life is for enjoying it. If there are levels, however, they would not be associated with monetary gains or intelligence, but with enlightenment, consciousness levels. The way you put it is too Ego involved and that is a model we want to get rid of (I think). The reason we want to get rid of it, is because it creates a lot of suffering, a lot of unfulfilled desires and at the end of one's life he asks himself "While I've been doing all this time, I forgot to just be." An enlightened and poor money-wise person, lives more fully and fulfills his life purpose (to live) more fully than a rich businessmen that has it all in the world of form, but has not learned how to be and therefore does not appreciate life at it's fullest.
