I do believe the spiritual masters that I'm watching . Indeed, what you say is great, and it's awesome that you don't believe what you have not experienced yourself, but for me there is this knowing when someone is being sincere. When so many sincere beings are saying the same things my mind has no other choice than to believe what they are saying - YES - belief is not necessary, but I think is helpful. I believe they do not speak from mind, they have lost the sense of self, which is located anywhere and speak from the Self. Speak as God, as consciousness itself. I trust their hearts you can say!

I know I told you I totally agree with the neti-neti method and self enquiry (or maybe I didn't tell you). But this does not mean that everything is not you. Every single thing one by one is not you, but Everything together? Why do you not believe about the end point of non-duality if you follow nonduality teachers? Not that you have to believe, but we're having a forum conversation, so I don't want to circlejerk around

My current understanding is that the Mind is not real, but the illusion of it is needed in order for life to be. Mind made by awareness just like the tail of the comet is made by the comet, but the comet is not actively creating the tail, it is just happening, and then the comet takes itself to be the the tail, because it doesn't see itself, but it sees what is behind it. Just what @zazed was talking about: The witness cannot see itself as an object, but here is where we differ since I've read and seen too much non-duality teachings of many masters who say the same story - awareness can sense it's own presence. It is not an object to be seen, it is the eternal subject, and the eternal subject is the only 'thing' that can be aware of the eternal subject - the mind cannot know infinity or nothingness, although it can talk about them. It can point to them.

I would say, that the mind is not aware of the witnessing, it's awareness that is aware and the mind is just a tool which helps to make sense of and store the things you are aware of in the now, because mind does not exist in the now, it exists only in past, or so my mind thinks Using an earlier analogy which I intuit to be right- the mind is only the tail of the real, which is the witness ultimately. Without the witness, there is nothing, without the comet, there is no tail. The tree falling doesn't make a sound. In fact there is no tree, because all of the illusion is the tail of the comet that is real. You are aware, the mind is your tool to use and you express yourself through it.

Here's a question to you: Who is the one saying I am not this, I am not that, etc.. Is it the silent observer that only witnesses or the noisy ego that does things. You are defending yourself and your position, we are still playing a game of Ego. We don't have to agree with each other yes. If you are not any thing, what are you defending here and why do I feel defensiveness when someone tells you you're wrong. There is still identification, you may be the witness, but the Ego does not yet seem to me like an integrated one. These thoughts come from my point of vew ofcourse. I am disagreeing with your ego and the mind's interpretation, not disagreeing with you, awareness. Also its not me who is disagreeing, but my mind, my Ego, since you already claim to know I am the witness, why are you not Ramana Maharshi?

So the thinker that I currently kinda by force of habit identify with, even though I acknowledge im also witnessing can continue to think actively and I should just hold attention on the witness also? @Prabhaker I agree with you, but there are some things that just science cannot talk about, but maths (the only true science) can : Those are 0 and infinity. We can map, on the level of mind what happens with enlightenment - I'm only speculating, but I see no real fault to doubt my reasoning: My goal is to represent the entire enlightenment journey with mathematical formula that will prove even to the thickest mind/Ego that it should forego a journey to find their true nature. When one trully becomes aware they are just awareness, this is when you reach being 0, from appearantly being something between 0 and infinity. Now that you truly are 0, you have no other choice, but to float on top of everything, just like you've always done and even be aware of infinity, because you are THAT light. Since you are 0, you not only merge with it, you are it, because there is nothing else. There is only the numbers 1,2,3,4…. Only they are supposedly real, but with enlightenment we see that only 0 and infinity are real and the numbers 1,2,3… are illusions, caused by the reality of 0 and infinity, they are the play of life, the finite numbers. 0 AND infinity(God)? But that's two! Infinity + 0 = Infinity = 100% = 1 whole = Non Duality = You, because ISNESS. If you are more than 0, you cannot merge with everything, become everything, reach samadhi and BE GOD - God is not nothing, God is Everything. The experience of Ego is also part of God, part of Everything and I can see how as long as I take myself to be a thing, I will only be apparent PART of everything and will be impossible for me to merge with it. It's a finite number. What do you think? I just love maths, next is experience, but you must agree, there needs to be something that will be helpful to ultra logical people to begin their journey and reach what @zazed claims to have "reached". I do aknowledge that you can be the truth but are not saying the truth intellectually perfectly, which is understandable, because the truth cannot be expressed in words and also the real @zazed is not typing here, he is just observing his Ego type just like me and everyone else, because we all are 0 already, we just don't know it yet, well I don't, many of you have probably already reached this state of knowing called Enlightenment. I'm a 0 that has merged into an Ego, because maybe I think of it as my everything, but I am aware of other things as well and know for a fact my Ego is not everything, it is not God My attempt is to do it with maths, which is far stronger than words. I also aknowledge that this is not experiential truth, but an intellectual truth is also something that I hold valuable and, again, I want to stress that people with ultra logical minds need to be nudged towards the experiential truth through logic. They won't listen to something else. If we want true Enlightenment and the end of suffering for All human beings, not just for ourselves, we need to think of new things and not only be selfish and think about ourselves! This is counter spiritual TLDR: You are nothing (awareness, 0), God is everything(infinity) - Awareness merges with God automatically, we have NonDuality, the only reality. You merge with God and from this standpoint you've always been that, you were just taking yourself to be a number between 0 and infinity for the lols?

Isn't this the first step, then the next step after realising you are awareness is to merge with everything and realise you Are everything, so in fact the whole time you were aware of yourself and only yourself AKA non-duality AKA everything is awareness and nothing else exists, nothing else is real. Im talking on the level of mind, I am yet to get step one to be consistent But I definitely understand what you're saying. A lot of self enquiry under my illusory belt But I still believe I'm saying the truth here, because of definitions, meaning, the thing the word Non Duality points to cannot in any shape or form include more than one things. ANd if you believe in the NonDual hypothesis, you shouldn't stop at separation between you, subject and observed, object.

Don't enlightened masters say that consciousness is aware of itself? ( awareness is aware of itself somehow, maybe because everything is it) The thing is, you say everything is real, but I've watched too much Rupert Spira, and know that this cannot be the case... Through first hand experience, the only thing real is the awareness of those things, there is no way to prove their reality.

The thing is, if we say those are real, that creates a duality - consciousness, me, here, subject - things there. Even on the level of mind we can talk about this: If the working hypothesis is that consciousness is the only real thing, the one, then there could be nothing else real. The tree can be real only if it's viewed entirely as consciousness, only one substance. No separate real tree, but part of the connected whole (same as everything else, including my body and thoughts).

If they are real, they are not an illusion, I thought they are illusion to be transcended? As Mooji says: A mirage looks real, you can swear it's real, but it's not there. I agree that the experience of those is real, but not the stuff itself. Right, on to transcending now

It seems like reality includes the mind right now though, doesn't it? Without the mind, we won't be able to write these posts... It's real because it IS, right? Even though it might not last forever, it IS now?

For me it's too late, I already had a dream about zombie apocalypse But in that dream I became a toy helicopter and flew away. The dream turned into a MMO game and then I traded items with some bikers, by trade I mean they stole my items, but left me their bicycles. Man I really do wish this dream doesn't come true! What am I to do with no items and two bicycles in an MMO game Forgot to mention I was being shot at when I was a toy helicopter... Sigh... There is no escaping. I've dreamt a lot of other apocalyptic dreams. Maybe there is an entity somewhere which takes in all those negative shit we project and doesn't allow it to become reality

YEAH it's amazing, but dreams sometimes really do predict future. Once I dreamt that we were getting salary promotions at work and the next day! they gave us bonuses! Ok, here's an example: I can say with cerainty that it is better to be free and happy rather than to be a slave to a system and depressed. So my point, why if consciousness is pure love and joy etc, why would it create a dream of slavery, suffering and inequality. The pc games humanity creates are always balanced out. This is intelligent design so that the game is fair. This game of life seems far from fair and this seems to me like the act of unconsciousness. So maybe there is ultimately not only one as spirituality says, but two: Consciousness and Unconsciousness - the good and the bad, God and the equally strong Devil. They both express and fight for this plane... This seems like much more reasonable scenario to me, because if all was one, I'm sure it will figure out a better game design, if it had a choice

Yes but my point is, why is there even a baby, if pure consciousness state is pure love, joy, and all those things... Why is there life at all, if pure consciousness can exist always in itself perfectly content and happy.. I dont even know how a non entity without attributes can even experience anything, maybe thats why it twists itself into illusion of form and separation, in order to be something at all - meaning that maybe being pure consciousness without a medium is not great at all.

I don't have any evidence for there being a separate you that could leave the body. I dont believe in souls, but im just speculating. I never like when someone is flashing about statistics as if they know absolutely everyone who got enlightened.. I call total bs!

I've had a lot of suffering related to money due to me being born in a very poor country. For me people in more developed countries with proper minimum wage do not understand how shitty it is to not be able to live and to have to do twice the work for half the reward. Some people need to see how it is when the coin is flipped to realise just how happy money is making them by the shitty things they are NOT experiencing. (Unfortunately, you can never know that which you haven't experienced) There was a time when I played poker for extra income that I hit a big one, and I had made like 3000 dollars, I was elated, the smile couldn't drop from my face! For a person in US that is probably a badly paying job... I did walk around in this elated state, and there were a lot of egoic thoughts, like oh I made more than this guy, more than that guy, it made me super happy to have at least that going for me, if not anything else... Of course this is now an olde paradigm, but still, money would make it super easy for me to pull of an Ekhart and just stay in parks with myself, and do my other enlightenment practices and not have to worry about sitting in a chair at work, thinking about things irrelevant to my spirituality - wasting time basically - being a slave. For me freedom is being able to do whatever you want at any time of day. Sad truth is humanity is creating a system of slaves.

Indeed, but just not being obsessed with an object or not being attached to it, does not mean it does not make you happy. Yeah, for the continuous happiness, we need to find the true self, but I think I will have better chance to do it if I am not worrying about my survival. Not worrying about your financial survival is already happiness, because it's the absence of suffering
