Thanks for your replies. Your points - about other people's karma and reflecting, integrating, deepening understanding - are helpful for me to put my experiences it into some (preliminary) context. I think of sth Alan Watts (I love his talks) once said. "There should be a word in language that combines "doing" and "happening". Because it's not that things are simply happening to you, but neither it is you doing it". Intellectually I also "know" that it is not "me" (Ego, Self) creating events. But there was just a certain kind of feeling that I could not / cannot put my finger on. -

One the one hand, I get you.100%. It's impossible to not see all this s***. On the other hand, you might see things differently when you fall in love. Fear, deception and confusion are transformed into something else. It's crazy how one single encounter can change so much. -

My idea: Stop trying to short circuit it. Alan Watt once said sth along the lines: "You don't dance to get to the other side of the room as fast as you can. You dance because you enjoy dancing" "You do not listen to music to get to the end of the music as fast as possible. The best song is not the one that is played the fastest. You listen to music because you enjoy the process of listening to it" Once you enjoy and listen - REALLY LISTEN - to the process instead of trying to accelerate it, the questions cease and become actions. And those actions are the answer to your question of "what's the best way to short circuit". You already know the best way. You just don't know that you know. May sound like BS, but the basic message is: "stop trying, start listening, start dancing". Or even better: Stop trying - you are already dancing. You just need to recognize that you are where you want to be" -

My experience is that my future experience is never the experience that I think I will experience when I think about my future experience in the current experience -

Bold emphasis by me. Great statement and guideline for life IMO. -

Assume that you know at every point in time everything that you can and should now. The universe gives you all the information you need and your "subconscious" allows you to know, see and understand what's relevant right now. It helps me to stop the "search" and to enjoy the process. -

Yeah, it's no coincidence that I recently experienced major shifts in my personal experience and now feel more and more drawn to a re-read of the yoga sutra in my book shelf + doing more yoga asanas. -

Knowing how much tension I have left in my body - I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS IF I CONTINUE THIS PATH -

Thank you. That's crucial additional information. I appreciate it. I noticed that doing yoga give me more intense sexual experiences and orgasms. That fits perfectly with what you are saying. -

For me they already are. It's not like you are saying completely only new things for me - but you remind me of their importance. This one, on the other side, is new for me. I will pay attention to this and see what I can observe. -

Yeah, I had the same reaction. For 100h+ a month I am professionally interacting with / observing people and a lot of what they describe fits my experiences in reality. Link above is a nice summary - at the same time I found it helpful to dig deeper into their assumptions and ideas. There were more "nuggets" that I could find -

Bam. Love how you articulated this. My perspective: Reality does not force you - I agree. Reality softly, gently gives you signs. Signales. Symbols. Nudges. Such as Emotions. Conscience. Depression. Frustration. Aggression. If we do not react to those signals, the body reacts. A back issue here. A headache there. If we still don't react, it becoming more. It starts slow and increases in intensity. I ignored these signals most of my life and only slowly learn to listen to them. Disagree on this. I love my intuition. In many, many, many cases it allowed me incredible experiences. Is it ALWAYS right? Don't know, there are areas of the mind and intellect where logic and rationality is likely to be superior. Likely that in the area of chess, moves are most of the times best when "thought through". But I would rather live without logic than without intuition. Emotions can and do cloud my judgement sometimes - but it rather clouds my intuition than my logic. -

I figured out that there is nothing to be figured out. All figuring out is just a game of the mind, trying to understand what it can never understand and bathing in its self created glory of finally getting how this works. It's a part of me just trying to find comfort in a illusionary certainty that will never exist. Man, I am so glad I figured that out. Now I can finally rest in peace... -

I like your thoughts. For me, it boils down to this: Personal development = finding out the answer to these three questions: Which activities, decisions, situations, actions give me (in the medium to long run) energy? Which activities, decisions, situations, actions neither give or take energy Which activities, decisions, situations, actions take energy from me? First, accumulate enough energy to take care of yourself. Second, if energy leftover from above, invest leftover energy into activities surrounding your direct environment (friends, family) Third, if leftover from the above, start to change beyond your direct environment (society, politics etc) -

Yes, the title fits your experience and fits the opening post. You made me reflect on my experiences but it had only little to do with your starting post. I was "thinking out loud" and lost a bit my focus and the context. -

Maybe Very interesting indeed..Don't even know if the perspective "awakened people spotting each other" fits, or fits for all interactions that are somehow special. For me, I don't know who or what exactly is communicating with me. I had so many completely random encounters - I mean really super random stuff - that appear too random to me to be simply random. Recently, I watched Leo's episode where he talks about God as a "shapeshifter". Don't want to go too deep in rationalizations and explanations, but sometimes it feels as if someone is just greeting me, sometimes helping me, sometimes making jokes, sometimes challenging me. Maybe my mind is making this up to entertain itself, but for me some interactions with people are just different then others. Example for super random stuff so that you get an idea what I am talking about:I sit in a club on a couch, simply listening to the music and watching people dance. A guy comes to me, never seen him before. No connections to him at all. Calmly, relaxed he sits next to me and says: "You and me, we both already fought battles together in the medieval times". He said it as if we knew each other. He said it without me detecting any trace of irony, or joke, or sarcasm. He simply said it as if it was a fact. The way he said it I don't even felt like asking questions or responding. I just said there for a some time and processed what he just told me. I think after a while I talked to him a bit, but I was not sober so I don't remember exactly what I said or how he responded. But I DO remember very clearly that first interaction. In case you have doubts, there were friends with me that saw me with him I am not making this up it really happened -

For me it's a mixed bag. Sometimes I waste energy talking to people that don't listen Sometimes I recognize that people don't listen and I stop Sometimes I get mad about it Sometimes I stay cool Sometimes I think it's good to keep on sending the messages about what I believe is important (and how it can help others) Sometimes I think I should just shut up and never mind what others are saying or doing Sometimes I think it's good to try to help people on their path to develop awareness on this planet Sometimes I think it's "consciousness" creating this state of mind for us, so it's a zero-sum game lol Sometimes I think I should think less -

I have similar experiences. Can't put my finger on the exact process of how, but for me there is sometimes also a kind of recognition. It's the eyes, the look, a certain way of understanding each other. Same way you said it, it's not flirtatious but connecting in some way. A kind of "I know that you know" -
theleelajoker replied to Richard Purdy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes, I also have this feeling. More me, the key to this perception is the diversity in experience and my personal development (mindset, values, taste, level of awareness,..). The more changed, the more 1 week feels like 1 month, 1 month feels like a year, 1 year like 10 years etc.
