Don't worry about your diet. Eat whatever makes you happy as long as it remains generally balanced/nutritious. At worst, consider taking vitamins. Btw, without going into detail, if you are thin and chronically low on calories this could be bad for sleep.

Don't take any medication to sleep, it's a trap. Even an antihistamine like doxylamine will somewhat decrease the ability to fall asleep the next night. I think it's even worse for benzodiazepines, lyrica or stuff like that. The best thing to do is to completely stop worrying about insomnia, stop typing the word insomnia on Google, stop talking about it, etc. Then, don't think about it either once you're in bed, telling yourself that it will probably be another sleepless night or so and that there is nothing to do. The less you worry the better. You have to trust that you are going to fall asleep, it's really a question of trust and nothing else. Just worry a little too much and you may not be able to fall asleep as a result. If you can't sleep because your mind is too active, don't think that you can't sleep because of your brain, assume that you choose not to sleep because thinking about something is more interesting, and that you could take a nap when you have the time/desire. Don't masturbate at night, an average person who doesn't have a hypervigilence problem can "benefit" from the increase in prolactin but depending on your neurological patterns, you may find yourself even more alert after orgasm. Sexual excitement actually tends to sedate me, probably because the increase in dopaminergic and even norephedrinergic signaling decreases alertness. Stop listening to loud music and doing loud activities during the day, do much gentler things like working, listening to classical music etc. As a general rule, stop believing that what you imagine and do is important, if it means anything. Do not do sports or intellectually stimulating things after 6 p.m. Get into mental retardation lol. Avoid EMF signals.
