Resolving conflicts from a place of ignorance is likely to make the problem worse in the long-term. That’s not inherently a bad thing, though. Sometimes you need to get dumped with a huge pile of shit to realize that you are acting like shit Yes, this is important. -

@BlueOak Higher states of consciousness do not require a conceptualization of reality in order for conversation to arise. -

Comprehension > knowledge I know that I don’t know how I know this. Elaborating would likely turn this into a belief, which I’m no longer primarily interested in. -

@UnbornTao Thank you. I’ve done meditation retreats before and used to practice on and off; I was never consistent with it. Or perhaps I just simply forgot -

Consider the possibility of there being no binary answer to this question. If you are seeking one, then that might be what’s keeping you stuck. I know exactly what that is like. Yes, it may appear like that for a while… it may even seem like there’s no way out. However, there’s more to life than what you are currently experiencing. It’s possible to expand your mind, but it won’t be easy contrary to what many spiritual teachers may make it out to be. But, if comfort is what you need at this stage, be willing to embrace that. Notice how you can watch the same movie more than once, yet observe something new that you haven’t during the previous viewing(s). -

What do you mean by desire? And wish=love? -
Yimpa replied to koops's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That is not simply not true. From my state of consciousness. -
Yimpa replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are correct in that that is necessary for a while. I’m just pointing out that there’s more to understanding Reality. -
For sure… going against what Actualized stands for. But also, not entirely. Directly seeing the self-deception at play is also key to Awakening.

Yes, I have experienced this on high dose of ketamine. The days and months after the session is when the highs and lows were revealed to me. That’s how I know that psychedelics alone are not enough. And that’s when I became serious about taking back my life. -

Have you also considered not trying? -

Just wanted to give an update. I found myself meditating for two hours yesterday (originally only wanted to do 20 minutes). After the session I was still in a meditative state while going about my business. As I was in the shower, the concept I had of myself collapsed (like it has many times before) - pure bliss! Note… I did find myself contemplating impromptu an hour into the meditation session, which could explain how I was able to go deeper. I’m excited to explore more! -

Beautiful Bullshit -
Yimpa replied to RamPhoenix's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
When you understand Reality at ever deeper levels, you begin to realize that there’s ultimately no “bullshit” state. Paradoxically, you don’t become stupid and want to remain or stay stagnant in lower states. Even more paradoxically, you start to embrace the lower states more than you ever had before - and it’s no problem to You. -
I bet if they heard you say that their first reaction would be, “But I don’t want to date a Catholic chick!” Of course narcissists and selfish dudes can get girls. Anybody who wants girls can get girls. Ask yourself, “What do I value in a relationship?”

Have you had an awakening or mystical experience yet? If not, that is the first step. -
Yimpa replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Absolutely. Ignorance is a powerful ally when you relate to it from a different perspective. -

@Squeekytoy That is the subtle trick I am pointing at. Yes, even Truth can be open to interpretation. That interpretation will occur in the Mind. (note: don’t take “will occur” too literally. Time is also imagined by the Mind) -

See, this is the irony. I am also aware that there can be an absolute point of view, a solution, comprehending something, and not letting go. I hope this doesn’t come off as if I’m correcting you. In fact, I’m just pointing out how even the opposite can be true. -
Yimpa replied to RamPhoenix's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Name me one thing that isn’t open to interpretation. -

Your ignorance is so cringe, but I Love You anyway -

Thank you for the reminder. That’s what I’m working on in therapy right now - understanding my emotions. I’ll make meditating a habit starting now -

Reframe or imagine “map” as an Infinite Mind. It’s not something you ‘need’, it’s something YOU are. From ignorance, you are fixated on one particular, tiny aspect of the map. In fact, you don’t even know that other aspects of the map exist. You are thoroughly convinced that your [limited] view of the map is what Reality fundamentally is, so you defend it from any and all other interpretations that go against it. As you grow wiser in the world and have more experiences, you still see the same [limited] view of the map, but you’re open to and even have some of the original symbols changed completely. Now this is where things start to radically shift. As you have mystical experiences, you start to realize “HOLY SHIT!”. Yes, all along you were fixated on such a [limited] view of the map, only to discover that Reality has the ability to zoom the same map out! To take it a step even deeper, if you have such a profound mystical experience, you’ve basically zoomed out so far that you can’t even make out the [limited] view anymore. Again, you’re viewing the same exact map; even the [limited] view is still there with all it’s microscopic symbols, but it no longer makes sense to identify that particular view as the only true Reality. Like, seriously! Unfortunately, this is where most people get lost. Inevitably, you will zoom back in to the [limited] view. But instead of doing serious integration work, you try and brute force your way to zooming out again. In other words, you’ve circled back to ignorance. You thoroughly convince yourself that the zoomed out mystical state is what Reality fundamentally is, so that becomes your new map that you defend from any and all other interpretations that go against it. What is the solution then? The solution is to COMPREHEND what the fuck REALITY is. Is it the zoomed out mystical view? Is it the [limited] view? Is it one or the other? Can it be both? Of course any answer I give on here is completely and utterly useless unless you understand REALITY for YOURSELF. -
Yimpa replied to RamPhoenix's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The magic is not merely from a profound mystical experience, but from deepening your understanding of what Reality is capable of imagining. Your “non-peak” experiences can also transform drastically. Peak states are not full of bullshit. It’s how you interpret those experiences that will determine the level of bullshit. Valley state? Reality didn’t make your trip very brief because your trip was a failure, it was to send you a clear message. -
Yimpa replied to amanen's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Then it hits that others and you are imagined by Reality.
