  1. This is also an important pointer. https://www.actualized.org/insights/actualized-quotes-036
  2. I think it’s also important to distinguish between doubt and questioning. Feel free to expand upon or correct the information GPT-4 provided.
  3. That sounds wise. OCD seems to do the opposite. That’s why it’s called the “doubting disorder”. It makes you doubt yourself; makes you need 100% certainty about your obsessions.
  4. I empathize with the pain of thinking you understand something, only for reality to slap you in the face with harsh truths. Asking Leo to give us a definitive answer as to what Consciousness is, then just accepting it blindly is counterproductive and can only lead to more confusion. That’s what makes Leo different. He’s not here to entertain concepts and beliefs about Consciousness.
  5. You clearly didn’t. Let me make it more clear for you:
  6. He already said his stance on enlightenment here:
  7. Nice, I noticed that you took down the pinned topics about enlightenment and nonduality from years ago. Thank you for clarifying your stance.
  8. Some people like myself need to hear that. I come from a family background of asshats who think they know everything. They are foolish, and so am I.

  10. What is your definition of “real work” and “real life”?
  11. I personally wouldn’t get too excited about that, at least from my own experience. Perhaps I simply was not ready to experience that yet.
  12. I have the opposite issue. I struggle with losing weight and have difficulty gaining weight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  13. I’m at this stage right now. Why is this deeper suffering necessary? Love? I find myself connecting to others who seem to also suffering. Edit: Thank you @Moksha for this reply from another thread. It answers my above question:
  14. Ah, yes. This is the a core skill I’m working on in therapy. I’m working on living my life while being mindful when intrusive thoughts and judgements arise; not getting hooked by their stories.
  15. Yes - to be fair I’ve only followed Neo-Advaita teachers. It‘a frustrating, because whenever a student would ask the guru for help and tell them about their personal struggles, the guru immediately is like, “nah don’t focus on that, that’s coming from the mind, blah blah blah. Empty yourself from that”. How does that help anybody?
  16. I’m starting to realize little by little that we ultimately create the meaning for our lives. In the beginning, we let others dictate that for us. Eventually you’ll get tired of that and you’ll discover a deeper power within yourself. Edit: also, if it makes you feel any better, I’ve lived with all kinds of physical and mental problems, yet I’m still here. No doctor will be able to explain that comprehensively; it’s a miracle.
  17. Haha, love it!
  18. Nice, I love music! Very inspiring that you put yourself out there
