As ridiculous as it sounds, it may very well be true. Of course! Your teacher/guru/tutor as a separate being is no longer Reality. Reality becomes a much more zoomed out perspective. So much so that if the teacher was in a room teaching you, everything around the teacher also becomes the teacher!

That is one way of looking at it. However, it’s also wise not to stay in an environment that is against your own values, especially when your values are more holistic and less selfish.

The past exists now… sheesh. I never thought of it like that before, thank you. I also feel a sense of shame for communicating harshly to @VeganAwake on one of his comments (see post below). Yet, @Javfly33 came to the rescue “in the future” via the next reply after mine and recontexualized my judgement to an act of compassion and love, giving a fuller and more nuanced perspective. You don’t. You cannot convince someone that hatred is wrong. They have to see it for themselves.. deeply, personally. The good news is that no matter how narrow one’s perspective is, life has its own intelligent way of expanding their perspective. It won’t come effortlessly, though.
