If this is your objective I recommend you to train with intensity rather than frecuency. To sustain long periods of meditation and stillness is easy when you have trained with intensity the day before. Your body will ask you to sit and be quiet, restful. This is in fact my routine, a lot of intensity while training, sweating, going a bit beyond my limit and then stop and rest fully for the following days. I first discovered this methodology in an study they did of Gorillas. They found out that this animals rarely do sport for fitness but when they do, they do it at maximum intensitity, really making the muscle to break and reform stronger. When I put it into practice it worked well with my routine and body type, it may work for you. Maximum body exercises makes the pendulum go to maximum relaxation afterwards. Yes, this is also very important. I recommend you to follow the Sattvic principle, which means eating pure food, through all senses consuming pure substances. Whatever your diet, try eating that in organic food, it really makes a difference when all those chemicals are not in your system. You may also start converging towards less meat and fish, a tendency to go towards eating less evolved criatures usually helps in this process. If you want to boost your progress I recommend you taking a bit of triphala at night and a pinch of neem in the morning. These ayurvedic medicines are able to clean the muscle memory and bioenergy of your own body, among other things. This routine creates a good ecosystem in your body where meditation becomes is easy and stable. -
First of all, congratulations for the introspection. It really felt genuine and authentic. I felt a lot of empathy with you because I went through exactly what you are explaining. The way I solved it with my partner, was first of all presence. Once I got up to a point of consciousness, my very own presence was able to connect with her and give very little glimpses. This kept snowballing little by little over the years. The final trigger that opened the next chapter for us in this regard was her first psychedelic. We tried LSD in a paradise beach city, while on summer together. This was the first time she had a point of reference of what I was going through. So you don't need to convince your partner to Awaken but she MUST have a Point of Reference. Because the truth is most people can't even pull out from their experiences one single mystical insight or awakening. It's for this reasons that psychedelics offer the most efficient tool for this purpose. When the oppurtunity of doing psychedelics with your girlfriend comes, jump on it. Make sure she grasps the point of reference and be very mindful, allowing her own trip to unfold, while also bonding together from new states of consciousness for both of you. Also tripping with other people can be sometimes chaotic, know that and relax into it, flow with what comes, you need to be her anchor of safety for her to explore. About other people, I did many things but what ended up being the key were Martial Arts. They forced me to fight for my position, to endure pain and to express through my body. I'm sure many other options are available, this is just how it happened for me and what I recommend.

There are two kinds of pilgrims on life's journey: the one like a tourist is keen on sight-seeing, wandering from place to place, flitting from one experience to another for the fun of it. The other traveller treads the path that is consistent with man's true being and which leads to his real home, to Self-knowledge. Sorrow will certainly be encountered on the journey undertaken for the sake of sight-seeing and enjoyment. So long as one's real home has not been found, suffering is inevitable. The sense of separateness is the root-cause of misery, because it is founded on error, on the conception of duality. This is why the world is called du-niya - based on duality. What is wanted is genuine Awakening, an awakening after which nothing remains to be attained. . . - Words of Ma Anandamayi. Short Comunications 2. Richard Lannoy.

Congratulations, that's the facet of awakening! It is not recollection of the past, if you are bleeding from a cut right now you heal yourself that is all simple. It may be of some use to know how it happened and all of that but the point is in the now dealing with your shadow as it manifest or triggering it and what comes dealing with it. You are certainly not going to nondual out the shadow, because they are different facets to the work. You may be too engrossed with the awakening and think it is all possible by it, oh certainly but it's easier to climb the everest without rocks in your backpack but surely some have done but there are just more efficient ways of doing it than just awakening and going higher and higher. The problem is you think shadow work is for broken people that are not spiritually evolved. That are some unconsicous thoughts picked up from socierty that psychology and so on are to fix yourself when you are broken, wrong. Many saints do have shadow even though they are extremely conscious! Many saints have personality disorders, even though they are enlightened! Charles Manson is absurdly conscious, much more than you and me together and he's still insane, psychopath and with murder tendencies. From this misunderstanding came all the sexual scandals and unintegrities from masters, because they fail to understand the shadow and think that by being spiritual they can bypass it. No, that's spiritual bypassing, search and investigate this term. It's an important lesson that everyone painfully learns in the path. When the shadow slaps you in the face after some time of spiritual fantasy. With time you will remember this conversation we are having and everything will make much more sense. OKay now we are getting somewhere. THe problem is you don't see how all this points connect together. You are just talking about awakening and that's fine but you don't get that there are unvoidable secondary works that need to be done in parallel with your sadhana. After awakening deeply for many years, your shit will come to the light. Then you will clean it, use sadghuru's tools if that works for you great. From that cleaning, your human character will evolve and you will become mature, growing up (which is essential in yoga also). Hence the three main facets of the work that go in cycles are Wake up, Clean up, Grow up. But you think that just by the first one you are set and done, well theoretically yes but in practice one in a million do so, it's very hard to climb mound everest being a child with a backpack full of rocks, but some have done it that I guarantee you, there you have your point. The question is if that will be you? Sadghuru is very legit and I respect him very much. He just has some blind spots, as everyone, I'm trying to make you see them, that's all. Because I have studied hundred of masters deeply, practiced dozens of religions, read numeral books about psychology and personal develpment. The full round spectrum. That's why I can share with you things that most people can't see. Lol, of course I'm not that naive. This is talking from direct experience, real talking.

"One day the 'kheyala' (spontaneous upsurge of divine will, see first post in page 5) came to inquire, 'How does this happen? (what causes things to happen as they do?)' and this body's mouth pronounced the answer, 'things, events, situations occur due to the interplay of 'mahashakti (divine power) and 'ichcha-shakti' (will power)'. Normally in a human being there is the interplay between these two forces. The 'will power' plays with one's desire, and the 'divine power' stands above one's desires and doubts and carries out the inevitable results of one's karma and 'sanskars' (Repeatedly skiing down the same path on a mountain creates a deeper and distinct line in the snow, called Sanskars in sanskrit, being the mountain your mind and psyche and each time you ski down an action). The 'lila' (divine play) of 'mahashakti' indicates permanence, unrestricted manifestation and absolute power to do anything. The nature of 'ichcha-shakti' is to exert intelligent thinking in order to fulfill desire. In other words 'mahashakti' denotes an absolute power beyond the ever-changing mind, whereas 'ichcha-shakti' denotes the exertion of individual will power within the context of the ever changing desires of the mind due to a sense of incompleteness and need. On the path of 'sadhana' (spiritual practice), once success is attained by conducting activities perfectly with one's will power, then the play of divine power is experienced by oneself. At that stage all diversity in the world starts to dissolve into one undivided state of being and nothing remains for the 'sadhak' (one who does spiritual practices) except the single objective of one's goal. One has to wait for the final grace of 'Mahashakti' for merging into absolute Unity, as no final solution is possible by 'ichcha-shakti' alone. Just as no smoke can be seen without fire, so also these two complement each other as different aspects of the Supreme One." ~ Anandamayi Ma

@Anonman90 Pretty much agree. This concept from Leo helped me finally crack how it works, reality creates from top to down. From what is, you create threads and worlds of meaning, literally from top present experience everything is spawned ad infinitum. It is not random imagination but a perfectly cohesive intelligent self aware awake dream VR reality. -

I once dreamt living another life for some good years when I was a teenager. I had a very hard week after waking up in my coach, I still remember that deep disorientation when opening my eyes. Luckily, homeostasis hit after a week and I could move on. -
I've been years waiting for that shadow work episode he is always promising

It's the one concept that can change it all, but if you already got the concept, no use then. It's this attutide of mastery and crafting your art

For the record, I consider kundalini hindu techniches much better than taoist but I consider taoism sex years ahead from tantra in approachability -

@zurew I recommend you doing the wim hof breathing method in the afternoon (sunset best) and any kundalini yoga from that channel on the morning if you want a routine -

Better than any human in any knowledge-based work The same way there is no human better than a machine in facturing cans. Soon the best layer will be an AI and so on. The implications are how we redifine the labour market and the social contract when human work is not needed any more? This video is the best I could find about the topic -
Agree to some extent. Do you know what is the biggest bottleneck for doing that? Shadow work After some point you get that it is not about making the light brighter but about bringing the light to your darkness, to your unconscious, to your demons, to your traumas, to your own disgust and shit. Till that point, the work is just juvenile, profound surely, but hasn't matured yet, hasn't finished the first major full circles of the path. There are many facets to this diamond. The 3 biggest are Awakening, Shadow & Ego Development/Maturation. Wake up, Clean up, Grow up. This goes in microcycles and macrocycles But whatever, let's agree to disagree.

Taking triphala at night and a bit of neem powder in the morning can accelarate years the process also. Super efficient, technique from the ayurvedic branch, works wonders! -
Davino replied to StarStruck's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He is very good for anyone interested, thanks for saying it I forgot it! It's another approach for the same reality. Taoism is very grounded and Mantak Chia is superb in what he does. It's usually safer than hindu techniques but slower and less efficient. It feels more natural that for sure. -

I always run in the same situation in this forum. Yes you are right but there is more! There are more facets to the same truth! -

I'll give yo ua quote of @Inliytened1 that I'm still reflecting deeply about. I made him a very similar question than the one you are asking me. -

These video from the hindu system can give you some background Here you can see an initiation of the Kundalini energy in real life. This is probably the easiest way to have your kundalini awakening. This is how I did it the first time, by a live 2 way video-conference with Nithyananda. That was the first triggering Watch this video on psychedelics and you are gonna lose it, like the people there. Prove me wrong if you dare! -

If you are working with Kundalini, life is gonna treat you pretty well, as you are worshipping the divine universal embodied energy within yourself. It is very grounded. After reaching a certain state of consciousness your cells start waking up, it's a very embodied reality. Kundalini can clean very deep conditionings in you and that can leat to very intense experiences but that feel good, medicine like. Don't intelectualise too much. It's femenine, it's feeling, emotional, energetic. Not masculine, squared, intellectual, trascendental. This are frames I know but they are really helpful Kriya yoga is the masculine approach and kundalini the femenine approach to the same reality awakening of the body. I recommend first kundalini to shake and clean up everything. After some good years, you may start with kriya yoga. This is the channel I like the most:
