  1. I'm an atheist, no flying magic man in the heavens pulling the strings, no behind the scenes scheming or plan or judgment or helping, just infinity, eternity, and time as only a concept, no begining end or middle, everything already and always is.
  2. His collection of work is beautiful and such an unparalleled resource to me, I lose all interest in trying to digest other teachers work, but I'll watch Leo's even just for fun. I imagine he penetrates an audience that otherwise wouldn't learn about these things.
  3. Baldness has been around long before chemicals, powdered whigs were all the craze back in the day because of it, it's even mentioned about characters in the bible. I'm amazed that I still get surprised by some new conspiracy theory type ideas, but you did it! Thousand year old marble busts of Socrates are bald. This below is similar to the snippet I read before, it's just like how people groups further from the equator have lighter skin tones for the same reason of gaining more vitamin d. I was just offering what I thought to be humorous to a non serious comment, I'm not sure how that's offensive, I guess if you're a hair doctor or something, I just read a short post on it the other day and saw irony with the bald joke in the Leo's a Sage thread. https://www.newscientist.com/lastword/mg24632852-000-is-there-an-evolutionary-benefit-to-being-bald/ "a 2008 study suggested that because it increases the area of skin exposed to sunlight, male pattern baldness may have evolved to increase the production of vitamin D Jun 3, 2020 Is there an evolutionary benefit to being bald? - New Scientist " Here's vitamin d symptoms, it's not just muscle it's also mood like yours for instance, it affects more than just farming. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15050-vitamin-d-vitamin-d-deficiency Fatigue. Bone pain. Muscle weakness, muscle aches or muscle cramps. Mood changes, like depression.
  4. I recently read that bald is likely an evolutionary step, therefore Leo is an evolutionary leap above many. Baldness corresponds to a time when humans started wearing more clothes and spending more time indoors, this brought on lower amounts of vitamin d from the sun, which affects muscle mass and hormones making weaker men in many respects back then. Baldness allowed more sunlight to contact the scalp which is the area that faces the sun the most and with a relatively large surface area. The tough or wise bald guy image holds up.
  5. If you enjoy liberty and prosperity you would obviously want to vote for Democrats. If you instead would prefer an Evangelical authoritarian nation centered on envy, deceit, consumerism, and exploitation of the working class and environment then you would obviously want to vote Republican though.
  6. Skiing, snowshoeing, winter camping, indoor climbing, jiu jitsu, boxing, ice skating, wood fireplace, eggnog, hot chocolate, tea, chilli, cooking, yoga, reading, studying, garden prep late winter.
  7. The money part is here too, but many people get divorced like they get fast food.
  8. Most people over here seem to resent each other after getting married, something I think traditions such as yours helps with due to consistent and known expectations.
  9. Damn Man, have you tried cleaning up your diet to see of it helps your head? Processed food and sugar messes me up quite bad.
  10. The OG nonduality troll ikkyu15 made a short video recently after a 3 year hiatus, refreshing to see he's still calling out their bs. Read his video description, the comments are decent too.
  11. Everyone deals with this stuff, it's a pollution in our society.
  12. I had a childhood friend that often went back to visit his extended family in India, I consider America as having similarities to a caste system, normal people really only marry within their social class, but there seems to be easier opportunity to transition classes than in India. My friend acted like America doesn't even compare to what you have over there though, I'm not sure what region his family was from, his family there was wealthy. That and the traffic always seemed to be what was shocking to him over there.
  13. I've never heard that term. "Benefit: More Children, Stronger Family Ties. They found that both men and women had more children when their opposite-sex siblings married close kin. Brothers in particular reap the benefits when their sisters pair off with cross-cousins.Mar 13, 2017" https://www.inverse.com › article Science: Marrying Your Cousin Has Benefits - Inverse
  14. Anyone have any therapy exercise recommendations or anything for someone that grew up with narcissistic parents?
  15. @gettoefl Thank you, I agree, and those last parts are very beautiful. "in truth the one's who treated you worst were the ones from whom you grew the most they dropped you right at the door of truth if you could but see it" I am working on being too critical and insecurity, I think it stems from mostly my childhood with my parents narcissistic behavior and thought there may be some nuance to be addressed with that. Journaling and processing it with meditation seems to help a lot, just figured there's other exercises.
  16. All it takes is one pathological liar to make up or alter a story, look at MAGA for example, people love to 'know' stuff and tell others.
  17. Fear, culture of submission which includes the people wanting a leader and a leader wanting power, an example being Moses, and irregular natural events like droughts, long winters, meteors, people having seizures or birth defects. Society started early on with a group Alpha, the mentality that comes with that fosters following a God when the Sun goes away for a long winter or it doesn't rain for a year, couple that with the Alpha looking for a scapegoat besides himself to blame for everyone freezing or starving. It starts as something like hope for the sun to come out, to something like worshipping the sun, and devolves further and further.
  18. Similar here, I hate to think where I would be, at least 30 years behind where I am now in my life pursuits, in a miserable existence I imagine, probably joined the military for a dangerous position for some semblance of meaning. It's freed me, it's been scary at times and dark, but for all the dreaming about life as a youngin' I never dreamt of how great a life I've found, I was in a box of limitations and fear.
  19. I think some people will go down bad paths without it early though, say drug addiction, suicide, or suicide by 9to5(i.e. the American Dream), but not all. If you have a good family upbringing you would regret it a long time until you figure it out.
  20. Indoctrination with the victim mentality, 'blame the government', 'blame .... whatever', they're inundated with fear of the world since birth, this exacerbated by widespread cognitive dissonance and dishonesty in their communities as the norm, they all deceive each other, live in constant fear of all kinds of stupid stuff. I live in a conservative area and work with boomers and it's almost all they talk about, they're like scared hermits, they're scared of the world, Trump is their white knight, their savior, gonna take all their candy back from the boogeyman for them, the more the world shits on him the more they see themselves in him.
  21. Again, please consult a dictionary, you can't avoid something non-existent, you said that means they were interested in the relationship, your theory is just that their morality stops the relationship though.
  22. They don't avoid it for the offspring, they avoid it so they don't have to deal with the offspring, the same reason down syndrome has almost disappeared in western europe since prenatal testing for it along with legalized abortion. The same reason people are now doing prenatal genetics testing for eye color and height. If you're going to use the name Scholar please at least consult a dictionary, you make up all kinds of definitions, you graduate from Trump U or something?
  23. People don't avoid inbreeding because of morality, they avoid it to avoid this. https://youtu.be/l4aAIF-iW9U?si=RPY1mtwGZ88McUCg
