Most importantly, a careful distinction between relative beauty and Absolute Beauty could illuminate much confusion. If Absolute Beauty is not dependent on form, harmony, or pleasure, what is it? Why can it appear even through decay, violence, or apparent chaos? And why does encountering it sometimes feel overwhelming, even terrifying, rather than simply pleasant? Such an inquiry could show that beauty is not secondary to Truth, but perhaps one of the most direct ways Truth recognizes itself.
