  1. saturated fats are not bad. New research has found that saturated fats are not correlated with any increase in the risk of heart disease or strokes but they increase LDL for some reason. Also saturated fats like palm oil or coconut oil are very low in omega 6 which is an inflammatory agent and are not gmo. Just look at this chart for example. compare unsaturated with saturated fat, Saturated fats contain way less omega 6 than most unsaturated fats.
  2. simple or refined Carbs are addictive, and high in calories and doesn't produce satisfaction as in fats and proteins for example. They also lack any nutritional benefits. Good Fats on the other hand produce satisfaction and decrease the feeling of hunger and are essential for many body functions. Simple carbs are usually combined with fat and bad oils in a recipe for disaster. Imagine taking this addictive substance and combine it with fats which are known for their high calories profile. I tried eating some fast food the other day and Jesus christ it made me feel like an animal! after I ate some I felt even more hungry than before. It was not natural for humans to access high carbs food, so it was instinctive for us to eat as much as possible when we used to find it in the wild. Now, these genes were passed down to you but now high carbs food are everywhere, So you better stay away from it or you will you have huge problems. Not all carbs are the same, complex carbs and fibers are essential for a good healthy diet. What we are talking about are simple or refined carbs.
  3. I have never liked the guy, maybe he is too new-agey for my taste, Yeah new-agers are not the smartest or most analytical people on Earth and they fall for many conspiracy theories especially if it is for saving Mother Earth.
  4. @Leo Gura why would God ever want to experience being eaten alive by thousands of ants?
  5. Man these kind of questions just make my OCD insane! Anyways I will kill it generally unless I wanna practice increasing my capacity to Love! BTW Insects don't feel pain the way larger animals do. But I prefer not to kill an living being unless I have to. Practicing love towards insects is an amazing thing. Society raised us to hate insects and be disgusted by them but they are just amazing creatures. I forced myself to start handling insects from cockroaches to beetles to earthworms and larvae and once you do that you start appreciating how beautiful they are, except for on time when I picked up thia beetle and it sprayed me with this nasty smelling oily material, it was disgusting ??
  6. When I try to look at things to investigate their real nature, I notice that my eyes keep flickering and I cannot go as deep with this flickering. Is there any specific practices to increase focus or does it develop naturally with meditation?
  7. A lot of stage green people like to popularize the idea that herbal antibiotics are better and safer and there is no need for synthetic ones. Are they being silly? Is there something I am missing? I mean synthetic antibiotics generally have a good safety profile and are well tolerated by people and they are very effective in fighting most infections. So, why I would even think of using natural hippie products when I have superior drugs?
  8. @Michael569 Wow such a deep and interesting topic. Sadly, they don't teach us this shit in med school. Anyways, thanks Michael for your satisfying and lengthy answers.
  9. @Michael569 Thanks for your lenghty answer. Yeah, gut bacteria is almost always ignored by traditional doctors unless it causes a c. Difficle infection. But still why restoring healthy composition of gut bacteria is a difficult process? Shouldn't it be as easy as taking some probioticS OR eating yogurt?
  10. scopolamine is an anticholinergic substance that is well known in medical circles but with very limited use, mostly used as patches for motion sickness. I was searching about this material after realizing that it has psychoactive properties. Scopolamine is the main psychoactive material in nightshades like datura. At high doses, it can cause hallucinations and amnesia. Anyways, many scientific studies have found that this substance has immediate antidepressant and anxiolytic action. So it can be used by mentally ill people to have an instant effect which is something rather rare among antidepressants, most of them require weeks before noticeable effect. Also, some studies have found another amazing effect of this substance. IT has been found that helps massively with nicotine withdrawal and craving after smoking cessation. No withdrawal symptoms and fewer cravings were the effects among users who get treated in special clinics for smoking cessation. Do you know buscopan tablets? yes, those use for abdominal crampings. you can crush them and then smoke the powder. The active substance in these tablets is converted to scopolamine when smoking them and it was documented in many prisons that inmates used this method to get high. I crushed some tablets, subjected them to heat, and inhaled the smoke. Within 30 seconds I felt much much calmer, less anxious, and more lucid ( I have multiple mental illnesses) So yeah it works! I would not call it a high, It feels more meditation-like. I noticed also it is very good at eliminating OCD thoughts which huant me 24/7. Also, I am feeling a warm beautiful body fuzz. I felt no side effects. But I still don't know how much scopolamine I inhaled But I think it is a very minimal dose. Does it have a psychedelic effect? I don't know, maybe at higher doses but from reading datura trips they are quite mentally and physically taxing trips so don't recommend doing it for sure. Anyways, I am wondering if I can use the active material in those scopolamine patches safely. Each one contains about 1 mg of scopolamine, but I am worried about any other substances within the patch if say I put it in my mouth to access the substance via the buccal route. Accessing IV socopolamine is not possible so I am looking for ways to get the substance to experiment with. WARNING: scopolamine can cause extreme physical and mental symptoms and even death if used in high doses and inappropriately. This is my new account, my old old one is @Eren Eeager
  11. Side effects at low doses that I felt include: dizziness, sleepiness, dry mouth, slightly blurred vision
  12. @Michael569 Your thoughts?
  13. Ok, this drug works like magic. Instant relief of almost all anxiety and negative energy. It makes me much much calmer and positive but I noticed it makes me sleepy as well. I will keep experimenting with it but I am a little bit concerned about my way of consuming the drug if it releases any toxic material in addition to scopolamine.
  14. I mean we hear stories in all religions that God did this and did that, that God destroyed some evil civilizations and God divided the sea for Moses and all of this shit. Are they just stories and lies?
  15. There is no easy way around it. Suffer enough until you are sick of it that you want to have a healthy way of living. When you get to that point, it will be much easier to let go of addictions although it will still take many trials. Also, You seen Leo's video, " Awareness alone is curative"? it teaches one of the most basic principles in personal development to treat addictions and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
  16. @OBEler She has to heal her traumas. Psychedelics are there to face your inner fears and demons not to mask symptoms, actually, psychedelics are very bad at masking symptoms. She needs therapy, those traumas are not gonna heal themselves. If she is comfortable with using psychedelics, it would be a great tool to use in therapy. Just convince her to talk to some good therapist.
  17. @Max8 There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. This is like saying why I am black or white or Swedish or American. There is nothing wrong with any of that perse and it can get very problematic and toxic if you think you should change your personality. The healthy thing to do is the opposite actually. You must learn to embrace and love your personality and move with it not against it. I am personally An introvert and I just love being an introvert! Being an introvert always me to spend many hours with myself working or contemplating reality with no problem. I am not attached or desperate for others. I just enjoy the occasional time with other people. Everything in life has its pros and cons and personality types are no different. SO what you need to do is not to reject who you are and try acting like another person. This is a common trap that introverts fall into. This will never work and will lead to more frustration and pain. Instead, you need to pinpoint your weaknesses as an introvert and try improving these aspects of yourself. So what are these things that introverts are not good at: introverts generally are beta males. They are designed to be followers, not leaders and they have poor integration of masculinity introverts have poor social skills in general and they struggle whenever they want to discuss their opinions or express their emotions Introverts are quite repressed in general. They tend to repress their emotions or anger Introverts suck at pick up because of all of the above so they have a hard time attracting a partner Introverts are quite insecure and care a lot about other people's opinions and they usually end up as The quiet nice guys. So introverts should be more focused on improving these aspects in themself instead of hating and refusing who they are.
  18. @NeonLayf Hi dude! I have the same problem. What you have is called pure O OCD which is a subtype of OCD characterized by intrusive and annoying thoughts that are very difficult to get rid of. My OCD caused me so much pain and damage to my psyche for many years now. It caused me social anxiety, depression, and anxiety. It is one of the most difficult types of OCD to treat. SO what to do? I have found that the best way to effectively treat OCD is by a method called ERP, exposure-response prevention. So what does is it mean? it means doing the opposite of what you're doing now. It means instead of getting annoyed and reacting to the thoughts in a negative way, you should start non-reacting at all! whenever a thought comes, don't try to defeat it, and don't try to explain to yourself why it's wrong. Don't do any of that! instead, just let it go, ignore it, just let it be without any kind of resistance. Start treating them as mere distractions and silly thoughts. Once you start doing this, they will become less and less annoying and you will start not even noticing that they are there! Also, It is helpful to accept the content of OCD instead of resisting it. what do I mean by that? I mean if the OCD tells you are sexually attracted to your mother, you say hmmm maybe, nothing wrong with that, Maybe I should start seeing girls around Stick with ERP, practice it every day, it works like magic, I have personal experience with it. I practice it daily and it tends to build momentum so it becomes more and more effective and easier to do day by day. Also, you can try using some relaxing herbs, to ease things a bit when the OCD is all over you. I started drinking ashwagandha tea and it has this amazing calming effect. also, passionflower extract is amazing too. They will be a big help to you. Some studies also indicate that a substance called inositol is very helpful to people with OCD. Another one is called NAC. I did not take them personally but the research is very strong regarding those two materials. Last thing I want to say, is to take things slowly, don't get depressed or sad if you failed a couple of times doing ERP. It is very hard at the beginning but it is the only way to treat OCD. Your OCD mind is like a bully and you keep reacting to what the bully says. Instead with ERP, you stop caring about what the bully says until you don't even notice it is there. take care bud.
  19. Hi I have social anxiety too and it is a hell of a condition. So what is happening in social anxiety is that your brain has been conditioned to fear any sort of conflict with others and you are actively worried if others don't like you or have some sort of bad image of you. You have been doing this since childhood mostly and it is related to your genetics ( common in introverts) and bad life experiences with people (abuse by your parents). So what to do? I have found that the best way to deal with social anxiety is to break out of the limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind. Some of these beliefs are that you have weak social skills, that you are weak and that you are somewhat abnormal and others are better than you and you must work hard just to fit in. You are constantly worried about other people liking you or not and you are always trying to fit in which ironically doesn't allow you to fit in genuinely. So you must start on a daily basis working out these thoughts and explaining to yourself how wrong they are and how you should not trust any of them and how they are holding you back. This won't be easy at first as your mind will resist letting go of such thoughts and will try to convince you otherwise. So this is the first step, letting go of limiting beliefs. Start labeling limiting beliefs and thoughts as bad and start practicing ignoring them. Also, start labeling being confident and strong as good thoughts and start practicing listening to them Next step is active visualization. You must start visualizing your life as this confident alpha male that doesn't give a shit and is so free to express his/her full spectrum of emotions. And You must start doing this on a daily basis for 10- 15 minutes at least two times a day. In addition to visualization, you must start actively giving yourself Love, pure unconditional love. You are weak and shy because you lack self-love for yourself so you are actively chasing the love of others too you and you are too scared of others hating or judging you. This needs to be changed. Self-love will make you so satisfied with yourself that you don't care whether people loved you or not. So start standing in front of the mirror every day and express how much you love yourself. Give yourself all the love and acceptance it needs. practice this 10-15 minutes at least two times a day Also, it is very important to start embodying the masculine side inside of you. You are too afraid of conflict with others that you suppressed any kind of masculine energy in you. You are a repressed individual. start practicing expressing your masculinity in healthy ways. let it be free to stop repressing your masculinity. a good balance between masculinity and feminity is essential. Both should be expressed in healthy ways and both should be appreciated. Without a good integration of masculinity, you will be always weak and people will easily exploit and manipulate you. Masculinity is good and essential, stop demonizing it! The final step is the most essential which is to socialize more in an active and conscious manner. Start practicing being real and authentic in your relationships with others. Start expressing your emotions, anger, hate, love, or surprise fully and without limits. Start making conflicts with others if you have to. You will be surprised at how good it is to be authentic and strong. It is amazing!
  20. @Strangeloop So what is putting you down like this? What do you feel? Do you feel lazy, unmotivated? or do you have some sort of limiting beliefs about yourself and life? like you are not worthy enough? or you are a weak incel or something like this ? If you lack motivation, then you lack a vision of yourself living the good life. Motivation comes exactly from ambition and passion for life. If you lack those then nothing on earth will motivate you. It is very essential to actively practice visualizing your dreams on a daily basis. This should be a daily habit for you, spend 10 to 15 minutes every day in the morning and before you go to bed just imaging yourself if you treated life seriously enough. It will work like magic. Passion generates motivation not the way around. You may think about creating a vision board to help you visualize your vision of yourself. Also, you could be complaining of some sort of disease or mental disorder if you feel like shit 24/7. Depression in mild forms can go hidden undiagnosed for years. Seek a therapist if you feel that's the case. You could also hire a life coach to help guide you in your life. Don't be cheap, a proper life coaching can be worth millions in the long run.
  21. @fopylo Many times divorce is the right answer. Many people spend tens of years in unhappy relationships trying to avoid divorce when they should had it years ago. Anyways, trying to change and guide people usually ends in failure but there are some steps you can do to have a better effect on people: You say you want to help them but you don't want to spend time with them. This doesn't work in real life. If you want to have an impact on someone you must spend a decent time with them. So choose either to ignore them which is totally fine or help them by spending time with them. If you don't have the time for them, then advise them to see a therapist Strengthen your relationship with your parents. Be gentle and extra empathic with them. People will be keener to listen to your advice if they sense that you do love and care for them Try pointing out gently what's wrong in their life and how life could be much better if they worked on improving themselves Be an extraordinary person. When people see how good your life is, they will be more than happy to listen to you You have to be extra patient and forgiving. People don't change easily. Don't be judgmental. It is a major turn off for people if you showed any kind of judgment towards them Talk about your experience with Self-help and how it helped you point out wrong things in your life. Show them some examples of people who successfully changed and improved their lives and how they can too. Buy them some decent self-help books and introduce them to some good yt channels Try to love and accept them whether they change or not, the human psyche is not made for change after all.
