  1. @EntheogenTruthSeeker "I find isolation can lead to stuff like this" Well, there are lot of isolated people who don't develop any sort of psychosis or schizophrenia. It is not related to that. "Are you interacting with friends and coworkers regularly?" No outside. But does it really matter how you interact with other people. This is something like a supposedly introverted person who regularly and interactively both asks and answers questions in social media, online forums while at the same time claiming that they are "introvert" just because they stay at home all day long. "Sounds like schizophrenia/psychosis." I am not schizophrenic in any way. I don't see or hear hallucinations. Yes, I created a lot of dangerously negative mental chattering by fighting with my own thoughts with quite provocative words apart from the voices sent externally . As for the potential case of psychosis, I am in no way akin to such a case. I can pick up a good book and read it till its end. Can complete complex software projects without too much distractions. This is a true experience of awareness. My mind theory works pretty efficiently. I am not crazy at all. "Just from personal experience" I have also fallen into same trap. The trap of thinking others like myself. It's very likely that you are doing such a mistake. Maybe, it is you who is reuly schizophrenic, not me. Yes, there are a lot of delusional targeted individuals who overly exaggerate that could be done to themself at most. There are also a lot of victims of mind control who can still hold a job, socialize, take care of their kids etc. So, your guest is wrong, I am not one of those imbeciles who are insistently and unnecessarily into such ridiculously unlikely plots such as illuminati, reptilians or even aliens. lol
  2. I don't care whether you are an introverted or not but there are lots of reasons why I you need to make investment into introspection more to introspection in this very journey of self-actualization. It is because we accumulate a lot of assumptions, prejudgements, hard-to-change thinking patterns over the years after we are born. So, without pruning the irrelevant connections we set up, our mindfulness practice will also revolve around those thinking patterns. Although you might have some level of improvement, it is going to be affected by your imperfect filters which buddhists also call "ego". Obviously, our perception of reality during the mindfulness meditation can easily expected to rely on our previous thinking track. Even if you want to practise this form of meditation, you need to get very good at introspection meditation in the first place. Do you agree or why don't you agree if you don't. What do you think about it?
  3. Sometimes, I fear that I may be a shape shifter.
  4. Hello. I am a person who still could not amount to anything. I always learnt a little bit about everything but was never be able to specialize in one thing of my flightiness. I love mathematics, art, a little bit of mechanics, electronics and finally software. I like to philosophize even though I have just read a few books related philosophy. I like the idea of merging art with technology. Yet, I earned zero money from it. I am not so sure of the likelihood of me finally finding a way to survive but I am gonna give it a try, at least, once. I created my own religion since I was not satisfied that much with other religions I researched and applied the practices of. They are things that feed my ego yet not to the extend of narcissism. I take off my narcissism glass back when I need to immerse myself in a single thing. It feels good to pretend as if I am the only person to save the world from hunger, wars, all kinds of injustice. Even if I am not meant to be like that, it will increase the chance of me finding an opportunity when really exists. I am obsessed with forcing the limitations of my brain while at the same time fantasizing about creating the currently nonexistent famous Artificial General Intelligence which supposedly could solve most of world problems. I joined this form both to help those with similar problems and learn from other experienced people who could solve my unsolved problems. Okay, that's all about it. Thanks for reading!
  5. I think there is no way to increase your attractiveness externally unless your face is beautiful or handsome enough. No matter how much you groom yourself, it's gonna be multiplied with your facial attractiveness. So if it is zero, all your struggle for good looks will fail and on top of that, you'll look stupid. It isn't worth to take risk by giving the message of a repulsive guy trying to improve his appearance with failure. Even if you end up deciding to groom yourself, don't tell anybody about it. I see you already conceal your true name so there is no problem asking how. My best advice for a male like you who wants to look better would be semen-retention. This is more permanent than make-up, less risky than plastic surgery, and has a stronger affect than clothes or hair-styles. Once you are done with your face, now it is the time for improving your other visual aspects
  6. Much better than that is semen-retention. It's not porn that's harming you but masturbation itself. Instead, research this
  7. Sometimes... It also changes from the person to person whom I am interacting with. If the person in the question truly deserves to be treated well, I don't hesitate to feel as intense empathy as possible towards him/her. I have a switch inside my brain which allows me to turn on and off both my emotions and the ability to feel empathy. I exploit this circuit to my best ability.
  8. Most probably, you are doing something else wrong so many usual proven methods do not work for you. Are you exercising enough? Are you eating healthily? Do you masturbate too much? Or maybe the specific meditation techniques you are using are not compatible with your previous connections based on the old experiences. For example, trying to focus on your breath gives you nausea, you should not use this method to get further (I am totally making up just to give you an example. I have never experienced such a thing). Just do not give up. Keep trying different methods. As Albert Einstein said, the definition of the insanity : trying same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
  9. I guest how you would react to it. Well, mathematics is not something to take for granted this much. First off all, you need exceptionally laser focus even to understand the specific problem you are dealing with - let alone finding solution to the problem. Of course, meditation is not all about full concentration but be careful, you already can't perceive reality with clear lenses without completely disabling that useless mental chattering. Just being able to ignore even the most annoying thoughts without reacting are already for the beginners Those mathematicians you underestimate are far above you in this regard. Just because you completely disabled all the mental chattering doesn't mean you can no longer juice the power of your subconscious mind. Instead of consecutively evoking slightly random thought and feelings, you just decide to experience any specific thought at your will, you'll instantly recall what you can't to recall as if you have put it there with your hand...
  10. I do both intermittent fasting and dry fasting on alternate days in order to allow my kidneys to take some breath. So I can see positive affects of both in myself.
  11. Well, I don't need any sort of supplement. Does this guy take any supplement or pill?
  12. I don't think this psychedelics thing benefits you this much. When you examine people with high IQ, you realize none of them are taking anything like a special drug, be it psychedelics or any supplement at all. What does that mean? That means you are just doing something else wrong. You need to find that thing. Of course, it will take a lot of time and effort. Nothing is so easy to achieve. Don't be cheap like Leo Gura says. Very similar to the process of gaining muscle. It will be very painful at first. It will be very difficult to lift even the lightest weights. But you need more patience and perseverance. Otherwise, If you keep thinking like this, constantly trying to reach perfect results without putting sufficient effort into it, you will not be able to arrive anywhere. There is no short-cut. At least, not possible when you consider today's primitive advancement of technology when compared with what artificial general intelligence could achieve once found.
  13. Why bother? Never love anybody more than you love yourself so you'll worry about her less after supposedly "loosing" her as if you have lost a very important asset.
  14. @PurpleTree "nice. what kind of meditation are you practicing and how long are the sessions?" I am doing both non-reactive meditation and concentration meditation. I am simply ignoring my internal thoughts while at the same time visualizing a square, sides of which is blinking constantly both in tandem and rotating manner without reacting to annoying thoughts when pops up inside my mind in the non-reactive meditation. In concentration meditation, I visualize a number floating from 1 to 100 and back from 100 to 1. As soon as a though appears, I simply stop the flow of the number and that internal thought also stops. Of course, it is gonna take some time initially but once you get used to it, it will be easier and quicker to cease the thought each time it reappears so you need to wait that specific number less. After a while, it will transform into a sound of click or snap that will terminate that thought instantly. For example, when you are at 7 and an intrusive thought comes to your mind, you will stop increasing to the number and keep staring at the number 7 in your mind's eye constantly. You may also try to draw this number as if drawing with pencil. This will also increase your presence quite a bit. My attention blinks decreased quite remarkably. Hope this helps.
  15. I also got the same diagnosis. The only difference is I don't agree with the doctor. Because I was also diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder, schizotypal disorder, anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, autism. It is very unlikely for only one of these diagnoses to be valid. The most reasonable definition of my illness was atypical psychosis to me. I have an high IQ. It is not expected that someone like me having pretty high intelligence experience this much mental troubles. It is just that my intelligence is working against me because I reinforced a lot of negative thinking patterns in the past. But it is something I myself need to solve. I am not perfect right now but I progressed quite remarkably. I have been meditating for one month. I believe this will solve most of my internal problems if not all.
  16. I strongly advise to learn more about high level mathematics. And to try to develop your own algorithms and libraries. This way, you'll both understand the logic of how the functions and classes you are using work more efficiently as, this time, a better user of the same predefined structures and not have to rely on any external open/closed source code when necessary.
  17. @Godishere @Leo Gura There is no god! But it helps to think this way. You can't get outside of the thing in which you already are. Just like a 2 dimensional sprite trying to immigrate to the 3rd dimension... He or he or it can only fantasize about what the outside realm resembles to without completely being able to figure out all its details. You can't know how many universe exist outside of the universe we all are in or if at all. We are like rats trying to figure out what is outsize of the maze we are browsing around. A maze, exit door of which simply isn't... It sounds a little bit futile to try understand it all. I recommend you be more pragmatist in this regard. Try to understand the parts of reality which serve you properly instead of wandering aimlessly or with useless goals. When both practice and theory focused together, the same level of understanding of the universe is still reached and the additional practical outputs can also be counted as bonus. Indeed, there is no so much difference between being a scientist and being an engineer. The only difference is engineer both learns about how reality works and to apply it to the down-to-earth real life problems. So it is a huge plus
  18. I don't have sex. I am asexual.
  19. This one is an extremely basic idea. Very basic but I am not judging you that much because you are a newbie as I guest. As to its why, because everybody knows what they want out of live -hopefully you are not at the state of still not knowing what you want- . About the necessity of self-discipline : That's an already well-known fact. Everybody says to discipline yourself but nobody says how to do it. The part you need to exclusively focus on should be finding different ways to improve your willpower and build a strong routine which would be the sign of a sound discipline. My opinion
  20. The reason we are addicted to things that hinder our survival is because your brain doesn't care if something helps you thrive apart from more sub parts of your brain which are both automatic and vital. Upper parts of your brain processes whatever you program it with. Worse than that is that it is even subconsciously ingrained and made quite permanent if iterated enough. Addictions may occur due to initially conscious reinforcing of a lot of wrong connections that do not serve any purpose provided it is also intensified with more dopamin association with that specific stimulation or topic. Unfortunately, there is no a short cut around this problem. You can't solve this problem with a one-fits-all drug or even more specific drugs targeting only large or medium-sized regions of your brain which is too general. There is also no an easy surgical solution for it. The only way to get rid of this kind of handicaps is weakening these connections first and severing all of these one by one through different meditation methods. Do yourself a favor and take time meditate on regular basis. To weaken those connections, you need to do non-reactive meditation. When it comes to fully severing those connections, silence/concentration meditation is your best friend Hope this helps.
