  1. LOL! This prediction is spot on.
  2. @WeCome1 That's a really good point. I think that explains the situation explained above. I think in many cases you can indeed say that a large holon is stage X. For example I'd say it's valid to say that America is largely Orange.
  3. There are people who have relatively progressive views but still self-identify as "skeptics" and "rationalist". Where do we peg such individuals in the spiral dynamics model? Arguably it's right in between Orange and Green. A prime example of such people are basically most New Atheist types (slightly outdated terminology but oh well). Example: CosmicSkeptic https://www.youtube.com/@CosmicSkeptic/videos (just sort his videos by popular and read the titles of his videos. I think you'll see what I mean) These people clearly value compassion and have much more socialistic tendencies than your average Wall Street Stage Orange type, but at the same time they'd be strictly against anything that goes beyond the rational.
  4. Can someone tell me what the actual technique is? I have looked into this stuff but the technique itself seems to be slightly obscured by everything else.
  5. I'd especially love to hear about Leo's best idea ever for a game!
  6. @Razard86 That's indeed his real account.
  7. I don't have ADHD but I've definitely experienced a worsening of my ability to focus over the years. Would this method help for such an issue? Also, may I ask why you don't just give us the method publicly?
  8. @Osaid Please tell me you're joking...
  9. Both parties serve corporate interests, yes. I'd say picking the lesser of two evils is a completely valid argument though. As Leo pointed out, you're never going to have a perfect party, i.e. every party will fall into your "corrupt" category. I'd also like to point out that European parties also basically serve corporate interests. Another point is that in a given country, there always statistically ends up being two major parties. They've done studies on this.
  10. @Recursoinominado Thanks for your input.
  11. I tested positive for COVD at the start of February. Come few months later, I've now had debilitating brain fog for just over a week. I'm supposed to be studying for exams, but pretty much can't do so effectively. I notice that as soon as I have a thought that requires a certain level of intelligence, my mind seems unable to "reach out" for the thought. The brain fog started suddenly 8 days ago when I woke up and tried to study. I had been studying just fine the day before. I've seen no improvement in my brain fog since then. My belief is that it is a combination of COVID and stress that has caused this brain fog. But is it really possible for COVID to cause brain fog months after infection is over? I had very little to zero residual symptoms after I had recovered. I've been trying to do all the basic (yet important) things to keep myself healthy: staying hydrated, avoiding sugary and junk foods, eating foods with lots of micronutrients, doing daily exercise (usually not super intense), walks in nature. I've also started taking fish oil, maybe that'll do something. Does anyone else have a similar experience?
  12. @Michael569 Thank you for the response. I don't think it's psychosomatic. When I first got COVID, I had full blown ED and I could almost feel nothing on my penis. It recovered in the coming weeks, but not fully. There's still some softness at the tip of my penis and lack of sensitivity, particularly in the glans area. Since COVID I've also had a few mildly uncomfortable ejaculations. (Sorry to everyone else for the excruciating detail)
  13. Lol, there's plenty of science to suggest that exercise positively affects mood (especially cardio versus strength training). If you don't believe it, go ahead and try it out. Although I'm sure you already incorporate a decent amount of exercise if you're on this subforum. God bless you.
  14. Thank you for the kind messages. I'm gonna bump this post again because I want to ask some questions regarding supplementation, as well as an update. I've started creatine (loading phase, 25g/day) for three days now. This should take around 2 weeks to take full mental effect (if it does), right? Continuing with fish oil. My question is: what supplements should I prioritise next? I'm thinking vitamin B12, since I've also had penile sensitivity issues since COVID. Yes, at the age of 21. What a disease! Vitamin B12 seems like it could kill both penile sensitivity and brain fog in one stone. Second question: how do I actually incorporate vitamins? Should I just take all of them at once, or should I only start the B12 in a few weeks, once the other two should have fully kicked in? I feel like I need @Michael569's help here
  15. If you haven't seen Cool 3D World, you *need* to see Cool 3D World. The land of the weird, wacky and 3D. Realistically, these works of art should be in the High Consciousness Resources subforum.
  16. This is the Psychedelics forum, not the whatever party drug you want forum.
  17. T+3 weeks since this has started. It's still the same. My exams are gonna be fucked to say the least... Thanks for the suggestions people. I'll start creatine soon.
  18. I don't think we're close to that happening yet. To say we're 10, 100 or 1000 years away from automating the majority of jobs are all equally speculative statements. Part of the reason why people are afraid of such an occurence is that capitalism wouldn't be able to cope with it. If there's no work then there's no way to employ thousands of employees and rake in profits Another reason is the general fear of obselescence people have. Will humanity become pointless and useless etc. I appreciate that you probably already knew that.
  19. What about every-ism-is-needed-in-balanceism?
  20. As you've said yourself, as society develops, government needs to get bigger, regulations need to become more complex, etc. This is basically the gradual takeover of government over the entire economy. You say that the market is basically a giant brain which determines how to run the economy. I agree with that. But there will necessarily come a time where government itself has enough brain power of its own that surpasses that of the market. Hence the gradual increase in government involvement with market happens (partially) because of the gradual increase in brain power of the government. This is a fundamental limitation of capitalism: it must resist this process as it depends on the markets to survive. Chinese communism understands this. One of the reasons why I believe China has a socialist economy is that the only reason they have markets is that, at their level of development, markets benefit society. Once society reaches a point where markets are no longer beneficial, they will be phased out. Capitalism, on the other hand, keep markets because it benefits the capitalist class (as opposed to society; not saying these are mutually exclusive).
  21. Leo shares a birthmonth with me. I'm basically God at this point.
  22. @OBEler You have no idea if that's true. What if the experience of an ant being crushed is the same level of suffering as a human being crushed? Another thought experiment: if you apply the level of suffering of a crying baby to yourself, would you also cry just as loudly?
  23. Would you like to propose a better system in today's global capitalist system to engage in diplomacy with poor third world countries? You want China to just give away free stuff? Instead, it does the next best thing, which is to give out loans. A lot of African countries have benefitted from Chinese infrastructure. China's foreign policy is miles better than Western powers. Another example is the fact that China's given hundreds of millions of free vaccines (speaking of giving away free stuff!).
  24. Interesting stuff. What else have you experienced?
