  1. @Danda Sure. Practice dropping the "I" from that sentence. Consciousness aware of consciousness. No ownership. A little off the subject but check out this video of Mooji. It's a good one. He points directly to enlightenment. "Are you in front of the lens of the absolute? Or are you behind the lens of the absolute?" -or both? That may help to answer your question.
  2. @Danda The absolute allows the space in which infinite perspectives may arise. Infinite perspectives of even itself. Whether someone is fully awakened, slightly awakened, or nowhere near awakened "robot without consciousness" each needs to be seen (and respected) as separate aspects of the infiniteness of the absolute. Sooner or later all separate individual perspectives will come to full realization that the many is really the one. Even though for some that may not happen until their last breath. But that too would be just one of the infinite possibilities of perspectives to be experienced before the separate beingness folds back into the absolute. 'On the absolute beingness appears- and out of that comes illusion. And the illusion occupies the truth'. The truth is there are no perspectives. For there to be perspectives there would have to be two. So that's my perspective of infinite perspectives arising on the absolute. Cherish each for it's uniqueness and have compassion when the individual perspective suffers. It wants nothing more than to find it's way home.
  3. @WaveInTheOcean If it's scientific evidence you require, your on the wrong forum.
  4. You know what you are not. What you are you cannot know.
  5. On the absolute beingness appears. And out of that comes illusion. And the illusion occupies the truth. Nisargadatta
  6. Constantly return to that point from where you seem to have come -and see if you have really come.
  7. I feel like Dorothy in The wizard of OZ having the realization it's needless to look anywhere else but here.
  8. @Nahm Thanks. Like I said, it's been quite a while for me. But I can remember that what goes up must come down. But still, just to switch it up for a couple hours with some shrooms may do me a world of good at this point. Even if it's just to remind me of what's real- this. I just read something @Azraelsaid about 5-Meo vs. just sitting that was very timely and absolutely true.
  9. @Nahm I'm thinking of partaking in some shrooms to break free of this dry spell I've been in. It's been quite a while for me though. But I'm seriously thinking about it.
  10. @Nahm Yea. I think your right. I'm going to look into it real soon.
  11. @Nahm I never heard that one. So true.
  12. @Nahm The mind is naturally fine tuned to depth of field mostly for survival. If you where a caveman, you would need to know how far away a saber toothed tiger is so you know when it's time to start running your ass off. It's sweet to have the option to override depth perception when it's not needed.
  13. @WelcometoRealityNo. But you have a point there. Don't confuse effort with results.
  14. @WelcometoReality Don't make me laugh. You don't think I've thought about it. At this point I'd lock myself in a closet if that's what it takes.
  15. @WelcometoRealityNo, it's not the ego being threatened. I would love to threaten the ego. In a big way! Maybe I'm needing something a bit more than just the meditation and video's at this point, It's been a long time since I 'partook'. I'm thinking about it.
  16. @Principium Nexus Yea that happens quite often. For instance, yesterday I was pealing potatoes and it was as if they where pealing themselves. (funny b-c it happened before when I was pealing potatoes) Anyhow, I was watching it all happen as if I was only a spectator.( No doer). Usually when I experience that it is usual 3d.-- Next time it happens I'll observe it more to get a better idea. Usually my mind is fairly still when that no doer thing happens. The flat screen thing doesn't happen that often but when it does all reality (landscape) becomes flattened. No depth to it. Like a huge theater screen.
  17. @Principium Nexus I've experienced what could be called 'flat screen' from time to time. It happens out of nowhere. Reality looks like it's being projected on a screen.
  18. @Voyager @Joseph Maynor @WelcometoReality Now that I revisit what I was experiencing last week- about rethinking my entire practice because it felt like nothing was there. Maybe that's true on some level. Practice is an illusion? Or is that my ego talking? I'm really not sure. I'm not saying I'm going to stop. But maybe just see it in a different light.
  19. @WelcometoReality Thanks. I'm fine now but I can relate to what was said here. Even though I've been down this road before- sometimes I just feel like I've hit a brick wall. It just gets stale. Something I read made me rethink my entire practice and I was seriously doubting all of it. And I really don't know why. This thick feeling of agitation just came over me out of nowhere. It wasn't like what Joe experienced of realizing he wasn't the body. I've learned to welcome those freaky feelings of being out of my skin with no solid ground to stand on. Maybe that's how I felt about my practice. Like there was nothing really there. I know- wrong attitude. I guess it's all part of the growth process.
  20. @Voyager @Joseph Maynor I've been there too. Many times. Just last week I was questioning everything. I spent a few hours experiencing a state of doubt and agitation. What I've learned is the best thing is not to fight it but use it. Use it as a growth tool. Turn it around on itself and have it work for you instead of it pushing you around. I looked around and found this from Mooji. I hope you find it of some use.
