  1. That's what I've recently realised with those dating workshops and also acting classes. Just having balls to raise your hand and volunteer and just showing up isn't enough. Unless I somehow get my mind under control, it will keep sabotaging me and I want be able to actually do anything. I don't think that's true (maybe the last part, a bit). Sure, she was attractive. But I wasn't obsessed with her or "wanted" her all that much. I came there with the mindset of getting a fishing rod, not a fish. And I tried to keep coming back to it, without being distracted by whether I like any particular girl or not. Maybe I wasn't able to fully embody it, but still. I just feel like there was so much inherent pressure in the situation itself, aside from whether the girl was attractive or not. I think she could be ugly and I wouldn't do much better.
  2. ...and people with no intellectual integrity Unless you are making a viral youtube interview that is.
  3. I am glad. Respect for actually watching it. I would be surprised
  4. Dr Mike: Is there research that backs up where if you change someone's diet to have high vit C content, that that negates their risk of smoking? Dr Gundry: Yeah, that has all been done in the blue zones Dr Mike: Do you think that the blue zone project is a valuable thing for us to look at as a form of evidence? Dr Gundry: Uhh, no.
  5. it's hard for me to say anything about this, because it's so generic. Which theory are you referring to, that smoking increases longevity or that modern fruits out of season are horrible for you and you might as well eat milky ways? In any case, this is irrelevant. This is not a thread about diet. I've posted this video as a prefect example of speaking to somebody who is incapable of reasoning with you with integrity, showing how pointless it is. This comment from youtube summarizes it perfectly: Dr Gundry: Fruits are bad Dr Mike: but they contain so many nutrients Dr Gundry: yes that’s why they are healthy Dr mike: but you said they are horrible Dr Gundry: yes, I treat people in my clinic
  6. Being a responsible, conscious citizen is the essense of democracy. Anybody who thinks that a propagandist who cares about nothing but his wallet is a hero has something wrong with them.
  7. I've done infinitely more for democracy than your friend Charlie, who's had a net negative impact on it, by being a sober, moral, prudent citizen.
  8. And God said, Let there be fire: and there was fire.
  9. @PenguinPablo I do not condone political violence
  10. OMG, can you spin a more grandiose story about him please? Charlie Kirk was a Titan, single-handedly holding up western civilization on his shoulders, the last bastion of the free speech and Truth in America. Jesus decided to take him from us today so that he could join his side in Heaven. God bless his soul, amen. Seriously, the bullshit levels are just astounding with you guys.
  11. Funny how everyone started screaming and scattered like roaches as soon as the shot went. People can be really pathetic sometimes. Just a mindless herd.
  12. Imagine being a vet who was sent to the middle east and now has PTSD for life from experiencing actual war, and seeing Trump Rambo posters. That must feel like a sick joke, lol
  13. In my opinion, this is beyond just being conservative. The way I see it, having Trump as your commander in chief should feel like an insult to most military people. He is like a complete opposite of them, a caricature. A corrupt, hedonistic, golden baby draft dodger vs common people who work and train hard daily and actually die for their country.
  14. Are you strawmanning my position because you have no actual response? Laughable. Where did I say anything about Charlie Kirk? I brought up specific counter-examples to what you've said.
  15. Nobody will think in terms of stage green or not stage green. Nobody will be fighting for trans value or whatever, this is silly. The war would be about classical American values, that even a lot of stage blue people can resonate with vs unhinged fascists. Are you saying that military people love Trump? I doubt that this is the case.
  16. @Terell Kirby your worldview that political violence is bad for any country looking to preserve its democracy. I just gave you two examples where political violence led to democracy, and human rights, and a better, more equal society. So I am asking how do they fit into this statement? My position is that violence can lead to a positive change under right circumstances and that it's very simplistic, naive, and black and white to say that it can't and that "violence is never an asnwer", etc.
  17. it sounds like you are just indulging stereotypes. I wonder what the actual demographic data would say. Also it's not about the soyboys vs cowboys. War doesn't work like that. The biggest influence would probably be whose side will most of the military be on. If we are talking about just violent protests that lead to the change of government, then I think left wingers actually have more experience here, lol.
  18. On a serious note, how does the US becoming independent from the UK and also winning a war against the Confederacy / abolishing slavery fit into this worldview?
  19. yeah, you are right. I was speaking mostly about this argument of "oh no, lets not anger the right wingers, because they will start a civil war". The things should actually be reversed. Trump should be sitting in the office, thinking "oh no, I can't go full dictator mode because leftists will start a civil war". Those people only understand strength, they don't understand being nice. Imagine if Putin thought "I can't kill Navalnyi, because leftists will burn the Kremlin down". We would be living in a different world...
  20. lol, not with that attitude. Good thing you weren't born during the WW2 era or we would be fked right now.
