It’s the spiritual approach Maybe at some point I will be awake enough to see them as illusions when I go about my day but yes right now I hold them as truth. -

The past and future exists as a concept in the present. The Eiffel Tower exists as a concept in your mind. Even the chair you are sitting on only exists as a concept in your mind. You only have shapes, feelings (like hardness) and color as a direct experience. Nothing in your direct experience suggests that you are sitting on a chair. -

If you don’t sozialize you will only live in your own little bubble and you can easily delude yourself in there because your thoughts aren’t confronted with anyone. Society as a whole is very low consciousness yes but their common sense still filters out extremely unhealthy behaviour. I think diet is a good analogy to that. The western diet is pretty garbage yes but there is at least some variety and you won’t find things in there that will directly kill you because that woudnt have survived in society. If you think that you are so much smarter and do your own diet that is completely different you don’t have societies common sense on your back which is almost a guarantee that the diet would at least not kill you. So if we transfer that analogy to our way of thinking you could say that we should always be able to explain our high consciousness thoughts to people in society, if we can’t do that then we might have deluded ourself. -

@Razard86 You are right. -
(The goal is to realize immortality) I contemplated death before. Normally we (most of society) are so afraid of death that we don’t dare to question what death is really directly. So we can only ask that question kind of half aware because asking it fully aware would be too painful. But that’s what I did on magic truffles a while back. Asking directly what death is in this hyper aware state. I discovered that first the fear goes away and second that I have a whole category of ideas of what death is. What death really is for me is something like "cold, cave, metal music, loneliness, darkness, …“ and all kinds of other stuff it’s ridiculous. But I didn’t break through to any awakening. Should I simply continue asking myself what death is until I break through to immortality or is this the wrong approach?

That would be one hell of a jump.

Hmm yeah I think what I tried to illustrate is that we dont know we never know the specific happening. That doesnt disprove that cause and effect exists though. I have another thought. I feel like cause and effect causations go in circles. For example the water circle. Rain causes feets which causes seas, which causes the potential for evaporation, which causes clouds, which cause rain. So what is the cause for rain? Its rain itself at some point. Of course this is a crude abstraction and I would need to implement a million other things but it should just illustrate that point. So you could say that the universe is one happening and you can take every point in the universe which will cause every other thing and in the end itself which means that no specific point is special. But that still doenst really disprove cause and causation. ? @axiom made a good point though. -

Cause and effect is conceptual. So it’s second order truth. For example there is nothing in your direct experience that suggests that when you punch a wall and hurt your hand that it is the contact with the wall that caused the damage to your hand. That might sound insane but really think about it. The hand could have just hurt itself when right before it came into contact with the wall and your feeling that the wall hurt you could have just been an imagination because you think that when you hit the wall it would hurt and therefore it does hurt but not because the wall did it but because in a certain sense you did it to yourself with your imagination. Hmm maybe that’s a bad example, can’t think of anything better right now. -
I think that is even better if you want to take a big dose. You are super recovered. Have you ever taken a dose that is close to something like this? 500ug sounds like so much but there are many people who take crazy high doses of lsd but I will probably never be one of them. Maybe you could do the trip but have mdma at hand if it turns into a bad trip ? Although I am not sure if that works guaranteed.

Of course some girls can overdo it with their arrogance but you should have pity for them because they aren’t happy. "You can’t hit a nail in empty space“. Somehow this really triggers you. If it were just "an objective discovery“ you wouldn’t be angry about it. Somehow you are involved in that which triggers your feelings towards beautiful women.
-
Yes women who identify with their beauty in younger years will suffer immensely for it when they age. I wouldn’t want to be in their position. They can seem kind of arrogant but it’s just their survival mechanism. They have so many options that they have to filter it’s nothing personal. Imagine you were a popular film star and you could get pretty much any girl, would you give all the less attractive girls the same love and attention? They might think then that they have a chance to be your gf and then you have to avoid all kinds of cringe. Although I am not a popular film star I stopped giving girls I wasn’t into lovely dovely energy because they misunderstood. If you want attention from beautiful girls you can increase your value. Girls are way more limited in that.

I had mixed feelings before that trip. I had like a 10 second awakening the last trip and that shocked me to the core but that was it. But it was probably more then all of the previous trips. So I had to process that probably. But also I kinda felt ready and a part of me really wanted to rush it. Should have been more sensitive to my inner voice.

Fantastic!! Leo the way you frame some things it sounds like these insights are only decently accessed on the highest possible way and below that it’s just shallow. Although that could very well be just me but I don’t have really any mystical experience as a comparison so I look for authority figures and take their word for it. It’s super understandable that you want to get people to the highest awakening possible but if you constantly tell them how radical that is and how much their mind will have to suffer to access it they maybe won’t be motivated to start at all. How can they if they never got a taste on what they could get from it. Again, that’s my way of thinking it could very well be different for other people. I want to reach the highest levels of awakening of course but I would be so fucking happy with some small awakenings to start with. -
Hard to describe. Maybe like I got intoxicated, pushed down, my brain cells are etching away. Something like that. That wasn’t really possible anymore. My focus was gone too much. I took 225ug actually but it’s worth 100ug because I did it two days prior. That isn’t a super small dose for me. Ooh I wasn’t aware of that. I just thought you have to take a higher dose to compensate for the reduced effectiveness but not that it changes your trip experience if you do it in short time intervals.

@Leo Gura Yeah I wanted to contemplate that on truffles or lsd. You speak about degrees of awakening. Can you realize immortality on a lesser degree? Because the other member that commented here seemed to have an insight into immortality although it’s unlikely that they all had a full awakening although I don’t want to exclude that possibility. Not sure if I can access a full awakening on my small-mid doses of lsd or truffles right now but death and love are the facets I want to access the most. -

@Loba ???? -
You could be a teacher or professor in philosophy. That’s pretty well paid.
-
I disagree. Philosophy is so incredible diverse like nothing else that you can definetly specialize. There are big philosopher who didn’t read much from other philosopher. Nietzsche for example he only read the old greeks and Kant if I remember correctly and he is a big name. But to be well rounded is of course pretty cool.

@Verg0 All tickets are sold out now. Please report if you got 5meo malt there ??

@Loba That sounds like a pretty advanced way to contemplate. Like you need a lot of concentration to pull it off correctly. But it does sound like it could work. Did you have success with this exact approach ? -

Although that’s true I don’t think you can rationalize yourself out of the fear of death. My belief that I will die and then have to face eternal darkness is too deep I need a direct insight/mystical experience to crush that. -

I also did that in my last trip. Somehow I completely forgot that I did that. I was super confused in dizzy the next 8 hours. Maybe I was at the right path thanks I will try it out. -

I don’t think Kant was much of a mystic, he was a hardcore rationalist. So nothingness as the noumenal part of something probably wouldn’t be his first idea. But it’s an interesting idea. -

Yeah from a spiritual point of view this is all mental masturbation. But sharpening the concept of an "objective world“ can have its practical uses. Science isnt right but science helps you live in a cauchy place. -
Jannes replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Kant would probably say that that would never happen because the subject doesn’t have access to the objective reality. hmm do you want to say that in this logic it’s basically pointless to try to get closer to the thing in itself because no matter what you come up with, as soon as you have it, it’s part of your experience and so it’s impossible to be the thing in itself? I mean there a different levels of being wrong probably, so could try to be as little wrong as you can although you can never be right. The body soul dualism. It’s a big question in philosophy how you could merge the physical world with the mental world. Nobody succeeded in it. In spirituality the physical world is a concept and an experience in the mental world. So there is only the mental world. Do you mean the self referring problem? Alan Watts says it in this way, you can’t burn fire with fire, you can’t hear your own ears, you can’t taste your own tongue and you can’t touch the tip of this finger with the tip of this finger. yeah like what is an apple without somebody experiencing it. Is the Apple even existing then? In first order truth no, in second order truth yes. Yeah I am tired now ?
