  1. I thought very deeply about life for a long time. Existential questions really penetrated me beneath my skin. I deconstructed most of my beliefs about what life is or should be about. In the process a lot of my survival motivation got destroyed. When people talk about building a great life, they often go about it in a direction where they start with small goals and progress to higher goals. For example I start with making money. If that is secured and I want more I go for pick up, fun, socializing, hobbies… If that is all great and I look for more then I go for spirituality. But for me it doesn’t work that way any more. I can’t just go and hustle to make a lot of money and build on top of that. I need the higher stuff first to justify the smaller stuff. I need spiritual awakenings to take the seriousness out of life and to fall in love with it again. Then it’s a lot easier to socialize, do pick up, do hobbies.. because it’s all in a context of a metaphysically speaking harmonious and loving world. And I don’t have to ultimately worry about sickness and death and anything that is scary because I would know that I can’t die, so I could really party. And if all that is done and I have my spiritual basis and my joy in life then I could see the point in doing some hard stuff to make a living. Otherwise what’s the point in working hard if I don’t have joy in life and will just die and end up in eternal nothingness. It wouldn’t make any sense. What do you think? edit: This is coming from an unorientated, socially wounded person having a somewhat priviliged life in a first world country with enough time of being taken care of to entertain thoughts like these. So this is not just a high conscious perspective on things but also some cope. But still I think most people zombie through life for exactly those reasons, because they unconsciously think that in the end it will all be terrible and for nothing and it rottens and bitters their psyche and so they won’t create love in the world.
  2. I study to become a teacher at the moment. My parents are financially really supportive I am very lucky. Still though it’s really hard for me to motivate myself to get through my studies. At the moment I just want to get to a place where I can afford a living with the least amount of effort as possible so I can figure all of that shit out.
  3. At least for the cooking part you can save A LOT of time if you are strategic about it. Do you use an instant pot or rice cooker for example? Oven > pan. You can precook for a few days…
  4. I think it has to with how our mind is wired. There are a lot of deep things that would make me happier then short term pleasure but my mind is addicted to that shit. And it’s just scary to renounce all earthy things. It’s like commiting suicide.
  5. It’s very difficult to balance these two but doing it makes a great character. It actually purifies the soft and the hard part. Who wants the soft part when it comes out of weakness and who wants the hard part if its without love you see?
  6. @flowboy But what about the people that haven’t found a greater meaning for their life. Your standard semi depressed drifting through life doomer? Would you say he should focus only on finding his life purpose asap or should he also focus on eliminating distractions like porn addiction so that both efforts benefit each other?
  7. That’s good advice. I think porn is unhealthy, masturbating not really. I once went from porn addiction and fapping 3 times a day to not fap at all and no porn for 400 days straight. I was so invested in it that I even stopped my first wet dreams. And the urge to watch porn was bigger then the urge to masturbate for sure.
  8. It can vary widely. To give an extreme example Markus Ruhl ate 1kg of protein per day and was a mass monster. And then there is Jay Cutler with far less protein and also a heavy weight bodybuilder. Considering that they have to eat like 8000 calories a day to get to that size 300-400 gram of protein would be like 15-20% of Jays macros. There is a video of Jeff Nippard where he asked a lot of pro bodybuilders about what their protein intake is and if I remember correctly most of them went with 1g per pound of bodyweight but some of them with a lot more as well. You can have an extremely high protein diet with almost no saturated fats and with a lot of fiber. You could eat chicken breast or other meats with almost no fat, low fat milk products and veggies all day, have like 60% of your macros from protein and get all of your nutrients as well. It’s actually a good way to diet because fiber and protein gets your hunger down with the least amount of calories required. No problem, I feel very much honored!
  9. Okay you are normally the expert when it comes to health questions but here you drop some big bs. That’s not the common sense of what all of the fitness channels I ever watched. I am making a statistical claim that it is highly unlikely that all of these fitness channels are all referring to the same wrong studies. The benefit of eating more protein to increase muscle growth peaks below 1g per pound of bodyweight. My YouTube time is up for today but here I will link a short video of an expert in sport nutrition: edit: Many bodybuilder are morons. Also it’s not the norm, idk where you heard that. There are many compedetive bodybuilder that eat 1g per pound of bodyweight. Carbs help reduce stress. Stress tears down muscle. => Carbs prevent muscle loss. A lack thereof because all the calories go into as much protein as possible will make you loose more muscle in the process. Also the workouts will be worse will less carbs as I said which will also lead to more muscle loss. Yeah you need more protein with steroids although idk how much more. What I heard is that eating a shitton of protein itself isn’t the problem. Your kidneys can handle it. Idk how stacking up genetic adaptations is unhealthy that’s far out of my knowledge zone.
  10. Why that? Protein only helps to build muscle up to a point. More then 1g per pound of bodyweight doenst give you anything extra, if anything it actually makes muscle building worse because you could have used the protein calories for carb calories which could have given you more energy and growth hormones. And the protein doenst have to come from meat you just need the amino acids which can come from meat, milk, legumes.. whatever. (Of course you need more plant protein because the essential amino acids aren’t as plentyful as in animal protein sources) The access of fat in the carnivore diet is also worse for stimulating muscle growth then carbs. So I don’t even think a carnivore diet would be the best option for building as much muscle as possible.
  11. Processed sugar makes sense for athletes. The fast sugar helps with recovery right after the workout and they simply cannot get enough sugar from fruits to fuel their marathons. Like imagine eating 10 bananas on the go ?
  12. Your feet have a lot more movement in barefoot shoes so that keeps them more warm. I went through wither with the same barefoot shoes I had for summer a couple of times. At some point it does get a bit too cold though. But there are minimalist options for winter as well.
  13. What were your protein sources? You could try that out. Did your weight stabilize at some point in a healthy range? For how long have you trained before you restarted training again? It can take more then a week to drop all fatigue if you really pushed it hard for a long time. You eat like a Greek god lol, that’s almost impossible to improve ? Maybe there are certain foods that you can’t digest. You could make an elimination diet. Eat a few very basic foods that you know you can tolerate as a start and then add one new food at a time and see how you feel.
  14. Vegan Gains always had serious mental health problems like depression. If you watch some early clips of him you will think he really doesn’t like to be alive at all. Some fats and proteins are essential. He might just get enough but if he really goes that low I feel like it’s a bit risky.. Eating a shitton of quick digesting carbs is standard for endurance athletes because it gives the best performance. Performance ≠ Health/Logevity though. Well protein…
  15. I am mostly into girls and I could probably be happy with only being with girls my entire life. I can count the number of times when I found a men attractive on one hand but I got at least a small place for that for sure. The thing is just that I am extremely open to new perspectives that would come with trying something like this out. I would just like to know how females would react to that. If a girl is bisexual it’s mostly not a big deal for a guy but I feel like it’s more of a big deal for girls when a guy is bisexual. My thought is that I might not gain anything from turning bisexual at all but loose attraction to females. I know it’s pretty stupid to compromise yourself that way and that fear shouldn’t stop you but this thought is still harassing me and I have the desire to think it to the end.
  16. You said in a previous post that you overtrain. That could be part of the reason. If you are overstressed your digestion also suffers. What is your diet like at the moment? No, he is just some random dude. Just because it works for him doesn’t mean it works for you. If you don’t have a lot of knowledge about a subject you should look for authority figures that are most likely to tell the truth. That would be the WHO or a nutrition specialist for example. Of course you need personal experience as well and should experiment.
  17. I was vegan for good 3 years. In the beginning I was a complete moron, experimenting with a raw vegan diet in the hope that it would be the magic pill not only for my physical health but also psychological and spiritual, because mind and body is connected you know. Anyway I just had a lot of stomach pain and no energy. I switched to a more conventional approach after some time. The thing is that people hear about how healthy a vegan diet can be and expect magic. It’s not magic. You can get feel tired or get sick just like before and it’s neither the fault nor not the fault of the vegan diet. I constantly focused so much on my health and was so stressed out at every itch or tiredness or sign of sickness because I couldn’t and shouldn’t get sick because I was vegan I made myself sick with this shit. When I didn’t focus on my health (but still maintained decent health routinely) I felt so healthy all of a sudden. I did feel pretty good at the end of my vegan diet. I just switched back to vegetarian because I really wanted some milk protein and food for convenience. I could go back to veganism if I wanted to.
  18. Sugar isn’t really bad for you. You just need to compensate with very nutritious food for the empty calories that sugar gives you. Also only carbs is obviously bs. You need some healthy fats and protein. You don’t need a ton but a bit is absolutely required for health.
  19. Jon Venus quit the vegan diet and then came back. At least that’s the last point I remember. Vegan Gains declined mentally?
  20. Idk where I would be without psychedelics. They helped me a lot with emotional baggage and just general bs in my life. I was done with people pretty much because I was hurt and I talked myself into being a loner. They showed me how much I crave the connection and that I am worthy and capable with reconnecting with people again. One guy an Italian guy slapped me in the face when I dared to say to him that I might be incapable of a romantic connection with a girl ?. I didn’t even reach any significant awakenings on my 20 trips but I am looking forward to it and how it will affect my life. Also microdosing helps me tremendously with being social.
  21. I think our human psyche is highly programmed to look for what benefits us and what doesn’t. And it makes it hard to enjoy stuff if it doesn’t have a pragmatic benefit for us. But that doesn’t mean that by aligning yourself with this will that it automatically makes everything a cold robot game. Just like you would only date a girl that you find physically attractive but that doesn’t mean that you can’t authentically fall in love with her. In a sense you need a pragmatic reason for things in order to forget about it and just enjoy it. But I do get that who makes this pragmatic way of thinking so important that this means that this person is too seriously invested in survival and hasn’t realized that there are more conscious things to do.
  22. Why do you offer to pay for them? That doesn’t make any sense.
  23. Yes they have. They can help you with dating questions. They can introduce you to other girls. They can increase your status or at least show that you aren’t a creep because they accept you. And if you have long periods without dating then they can kind of give you a sense on how it is to be with a women ?
  24. I can’t. Why, is it forbidden? ObViOuSlY I wouldn’t smuggle it across boarders and would only consume it in the country where it is legal.
  25. There are a ton of great uses for MDMA. I have a long list with things I want to do with it. Unfortunately you can only use it every few months. One of the things that is high on my priority list is to trip with my whole family. There are certainly unhealthier family dynamics then in ours but still there are huge problems that are caused by traumatic events in each person and I don’t see these problems getting solved in this lifetime. So I thought we could all sit together take MDMA and talk about and heal our problems. My sister is 19 btw so I don’t if that could be a problem. Otherwise do you think it’s a good idea? My parents never really took anything else then alcohol so it wouldn’t be easy to convince them. Has anyone experience with this?
