  1. I wouldn’t say that. Whole grains have quite a bit of vitamins and minerals in them especially B-vitamins. Of course veggies for example have far more nutrients per calorie but whole grains are more then just a calorie “filler“.
  2. @BipolarGrowthI agree. Yeah that definetly exists and this prevents me from eating to much junk. But it doesn’t prevent me from eating some junk from time to time. My body gives me an ok for that.
  3. Gluten is okay if you are healthy. @Michael569 can probably tell you more about it. Gluten is in grain. It is a little different in each. Spelt gluten is a bit different from wheat gluten for example. Most people who say gluten is bad say that wheat gluten is the worst. So if you want to limit gluten then you might want to switch to grain products other then wheat. Most pasta is wheatflower pasta. -> gluten. You can buy corn pasta for example but some whole grain pasta is more healthy imo because it has more nutrients. Some other alternatives: Quinoa, Buckwheat, Rice, all types of Legumes… just google it ? But whole grain products are cheap, nutritious and easy to integrate so I think it makes sense to integrate them in your diet. But I am also not an expert on gluten.
  4. Where to find them ? Preferably vegan. I know that vivolife tests for heavy metals but I don’t have the money for their products so something cheaper would be great.
  5. Its really hard to explain because I cant really say how these energies feel like with normal vocabulary, they just feel weird. I cant create them in a way you would create anger or Motivation in yourself for example. Only when I spontaniously feel them I also get an Intuition on how to create them or rather I let my intuition overtake and it creates it for me. When I try to hard I loose them completly. So this is how I would explain them: Here you have your legs and one finger. The finger is way less massive then your legs. So your legs kind of have a more massive or solid feel to them. But in this process now the finger gets the more massive feel to it and the legs the less massive feel. But not in a way that they just switch their Sensation but that you put the massive feeling in the less massive feeling and the less massive feeling in the massive feeling. So the comparison itself has a feel to it. And this can feel pretty powerful. Sometimes I have this feeling for half a Minute but I also had it for like 20minutes in all different kind of forms where I defenitely thought that I was about to realize something but nothing really happened. And I dont have any controll over it really I just let it overtake me. It defintely feels really “real“. There are all kinds of variations of this kind who all have this powerful and real feeling in Common. But I cant remember what they were about. Can someone relate or is this to short and abstract ?
  6. Interesting. I heard from so many people that they get sleepy from oats and it’s also the case in my personal experience.
  7. @Carl-Richard I deleted it. Which rule have I violated ?
  8. Idk but all these question interest me as well.
  9. @intotheblack looks fantastic but way to expensive for my wallet unfortunately.
  10. It’s about convenience and not having to fart the whole day ?
  11. @Holymoly looks great but is to expensive for me.
  12. Leo says he has gut problems and is only able to digest certain foods. All the major health organisation say that carbs are good.
  13. @Ayham Yeah but I dont really feel that it has a center. Or you could say that I feel it in my head. I dont really have a sense of my Body when that Happens. Sometimes it came up for me during meditation but mostly unplanned when doing a nap.
  14. I am a bit late to the discussion but when I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit I also often feel pretty bloated. Real food takes up more space, fibers and minerals take time to digest (instead of white sugar or wheat flower for example). Maybe eat some Whole Foods that are easier on your digestion (potatoes, tofu, rice, bananas, instant oats) and go for steamed vegetables. You also want some raw vegetables but you don’t have to go crazy on them. If it’s really bad you could go for some wheat flower bread with avocado or nut butter for example. Eat that with some fruit and the glycemic load won’t go out of control.
  15. @ValiantSalvatore I put an arrow on the line where the heavy metal levels are rated. 4 products have „1,6 gut“ which do you mean ? Cost me 3,50€ so not that expensive. But "Stiftung.Warentest“ has a pretty good name in Germany so you can probably trust them. That’s great. Maybe I can find some more who do this. Thanks!
  16. @Optimized Life Sorry, I just don’t seem to have as much class as you do ? but honestly I would like that whole experience without alcohol more but I get why you would enjoy a drink in that scenario. But is this really something you see more then a few times a year? For me the charme of McDonald’s is that everybody was there at some point and everyone agrees that they only sell dogshit that doesn’t even taste that great (even their vegetables taste like they don’t have any vitamins) but for some reason that’s exactly why you go there. To get the latest sloppy dogshit burger. It’s a special kind of love. But maybe that’s just my perspective. Again, I don’t have class.
  17. What is this product about ? yeah there have to be some companies that provide tests right ? yeah I am all for vegan protein powder as well. Unfortunately it has more heavy metals in it on average. That seems pretty insightful, thanks!
  18. I just bought a test from 2020 that tested a wide range from protein powders that you can find in germany but probably many of them internationally also. The test looked at mineral oil components, free 3-MCPD, chlorate, perchlorate, lead, potassium, nickel, mercury, arsenic, aluminium. They gave each product a score. Unfortunately they didn’t show the actual numbers. (the lower the score the better ?)
  19. yeah I feel you there. It’s almost like you put all your focus into a myserie that lasts as long as possible. If you are healthy you attract people with better energy. If you feel like shit and look like shit from all the junk you will also attract people who don’t respect themself. So I would still say that nutrition is very important and actually supports emotional health but you just shouldn’t be so neurotic about it. And if you eat some junk sometimes it really doesn’t hurt you all that much. I like the gym. I have kind of an body high after going to the gym and your body gives you all sorts of hormones that make you happy. You feel comfortable in your body not just because you look better but because your body feels so much better. Even if I wouldn’t benefit from going to the gym in terms of health I would probably still go to the gym. Maybe find a trainings partner or do some sport that you enjoy more. Being fit is fun… idk I don’t like alcohol at all. I can have some fun that day but it’s not like it makes everything radically better. just a bit and I don’t like the feeling the next day. It’s expensive you can get addicted to it… Idk I don’t agree. Having a drink SOMETIMES probably doesn’t make you a lot less healthier but still a good chunk less. I mean you literally drink poison. Eating some junk in comparison is a lot healthier. Some people might say that you don’t appreciate life by consuming junk. But culture is also a part of reality and there is a lot of beauty in it. I want to eat some Coca Cola icecream or the next vegan burger at McDonald’s when it comes out goddamit ? but again moderation. You should probably keep it mostly as a social event.
  20. @Razard86 If you smoke, eat only chips and other garbage and never exercise then yes this is the likely outcome. But if you eat mostly clean, exercise and are emotionally healthy I don’t think you have to worry about having horrible sicknesses when you are older when you enjoyed some ice cream with your friends when you were young. But still most people eat like trash and 70-80 years old. Of course the life quality isn’t good but it’s still impressive.
  21. @ValiantSalvatore Good price and I don’t have anything against soy. At their website they say that the eu-food legislation demands certain standards like low levels of heavy metals and they pass all these tests. But if every product sold in in the eu has to follow that then that wouldn’t bring anything extra. ??‍♂️ Or is that something many companies don’t follow ? A protein shake makes things just so unstressful. I just have a big protein shake in the morning with a bit of fruit and it’s just perfect. You are full because of the protein and it only takes 1 minute to make.
  22. In the fridge in a vacuum container.
  23. You need protein to build new cells. It’s not just muscle repair but also hair, nails, immune system, … If you aren’t physically active at least 10% of your diet should consist of protein. If you are physically active you need more. Also most people benefit from eating more protein then is required because you body composition automatically changes for the better (more muscle less fat). Why do you think protein is bad ?
  24. That’s like 13g of protein… minimum for me is like 60g but I also hit the gym so 160g would be ideal (My weight is 78kg).
