  1. @Inliytened1 This may be true but our experience of it is if there is. For example, you have no awareness of what you will dream tonight when you fall asleep. You will find yourself in a landscape and be taken along whatever the narrative is that is being constructed for you. So you can say there is no behind the scenes, but our experience is that there is.
  2. @Inliytened1 I agree. That is why I feel it isn't correct to say when you look away from the moon it doesn't exist. It is not the finite mind that is creating the moon.
  3. @Inliytened1 I agree. I feel it's a mistake to believe things only exist when our human perceptions are aware of them. If this was true, you could never experience anything new. You also could never be affected by anything you didn't have conscious awareness of. I can think of endless examples of experiences I've had that I had no conscious awareness of prior. I'm not sure your moon example is correct.
  4. @Inliytened1 Are you defining conscious of to be what our human awareness and perceptions are perceiving?
  5. @Inliytened1 For example, our human sensory perceptions. What do you mean by conscious of?
  6. @Inliytened1 How are you defining conscious of here?
  7. @Jordan That is an excellent exercise. So far all the different practices and methods I have discovered only produce temporary shifts in state. The old state always reasserts itself. Leo has discussed this is a challenge for him too. And he is utilizing some of the most potent psychedelics we know of. I'm not sure why permanent shifts in our state are so difficult to attain for most of us.
  8. @peanutspathtotruth I have practiced something very similar. It can lead to a very expanded state.
  9. It's more complex than this for me. I have reached very expanded states where everything became self. It is possible to become deluded and self deceived while doing this work. Leo discusses this often. I don't feel its as simple as doubt=fear in all instances. The mind is deceptive. You can't always expect it to reveal the truth. Also our interpretations can distort things as well. That is one of the things that makes this work so challenging.
  10. I am still meditating in the flotation tank about 3 times a week. I usually add a low dose of mushrooms. Recently waking reality is feeling more like a dream. Increased synchronicities or I just have more awareness of them. Frequently now while I am completely sober while walking and driving I have the sense I am not actually going anywhere. I have had this in the past, but it is more often now. Not sure if this is from expanded awareness or something else. I highly recommend trying flotation tanks for contemplation and meditating. I am able to go very deep quickly.
  11. If you stop thinking about the future it doesn't exist. Is this even possible from a human state of consciousness? The thinking that creates the future is occurring at a much deeper level than our human thinking mind.
  12. Often in metaphysical and spiritual teachings they refer to our consciousness as being a fractal or spark of God. Leo's awakenings have revealed to him that we are not just a spark of God, but the totality of God. If this is true shouldn't it be easier for us to feel that? For me it's challenging to feel and sustain expanded states of awareness. I would think if I was the totality of God it wouldn't be so difficult. Also, the totality of God is so vast and immense I don't think a human body could contain it without it destroying the body. Also, how can we each be the totality of God if God is singular? The analogy of God focusing or extending parts of itself to experience the variety of being people, nature, animals, insects, etc makes more sense in a way. What have your awakenings revealed to you? Do you feel you are an aspect of God or the totality of God?
  13. @JuliusCaesar I'm not sure. I am very interested in experimenting more with how shifts in our state change waking reality. It's fascinating to play with. How far could you take it? I don't know.
  14. There is an expanded state I have reached many times. It's not so expanded I am not a human anymore. I am still myself, but much more. All the fears and concerns the finite self has dissolves. I much prefer this state. This is what I am interested in sustaining.
  15. @JuliusCaesar I like this explanation. Still, I would think I should see more parallels in the narratives between sleeping and waking reality.
  16. If it's true we are the totality of God, shouldn't it be easier for us to feel and know that? For me it's challenging to feel and sustain expanded states of awareness. The finite mind seems so dominant and always reasserts itself. Why is that?
  17. @JuliusCaesar I've practiced something similar. I have an increase in lucid sleeping dreams. What I am more curious about is if I am always dreaming the realities I'm experiencing, why isn't it easier for me to see the narratives of my mind playing out in my waking life and world events? In analyzing my sleeping dreams, I can clearly identify the narratives of the dreams reflecting my mind. Perhaps our sleeping dreams are a creation of the personality mind, where waking reality is the creation of our higher mind or God. This would explain why it's easier for me to see my mind in my nightly dreams.
  18. According to Leo and he may be correct, we need to stop making a distinction between our nightly dreams and our waking dream. They are both a creation of our mind. If this is true, why is so much easier for me to see my mind playing out in the narratives of my nightly dreams? But when I look for the same in my waking reality, it's a lot more difficult to see the correlation? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
  19. @G_A_L_E_X_Y My exploration and contemplation leads me to similar conclusions.
  20. @G_A_L_E_X_Y Interesting dream. Thank you for sharing. I have had similar experiences with relatives in lucid dreams. Their strange or different behavior makes me aware it isn't actually them. It's an odd phenomena if Leo is correct and our relatives in waking reality are also only creations of our mind. You would think our mind could create a convincing version in both realties.
  21. @Dazgwny Thank you for sharing your perspective. I haven't reached a definitive answer yet. Sometimes I feel our waking reality could be a shared consensus dream, not solely the creation of only my mind. Do you have any theories on why waking reality is so stable and consistent, while our nightly dreams are always radically different and changing?
  22. @amanen Yes, I know. I have visited many of them during OBE's. I was asking the question because often it is brought up that having God-mode would spoil the game. Like the only options within infinity are God-mode or extreme limitation. This is the reason given for tremendous difficulty many face in their life on earth. It has to be extremely difficult or God-mode which will ruin the game. I don't feel this is a satisfactory explanation. There are endless options in between these two.
  23. If we are always dreaming, which could be true. Why are the landscapes and narratives of our nightly dreams radically different from one night to the next, while our waking reality dream is so consistent and stable? Any theories? Is it just a different rule set? It certainly makes waking reality appear more real by contrast.
  24. @Leo Gura I agree completely God-mode would spoil this human earth game, but something in between would be tremendously fun. This is why super hero's are so popular. Who wouldn't love to have some super human abilities? Why are the only choices extremely limited human or God-mode? An infinite mind can create anything.
  25. @AlterEgo Not sure what your question is here. Can you clarify? I feel we are choosing but we limit our awareness to have the experience of exploration and discovery. I would say no. I feel consciousness is fundamental. So I'm not sure what would be beyond it because anything you discovered would immediately be part of your consciousness.
