  1. God can indeed be the best word to describe reality for some people. But just be aware that a description are never meant to replace that in which it tries to describe.
  2. Evil is the absence of love. Just as an object blocking a lightsource is casting a shadow as a result.
  3. I lost interest in sex/money/fame. For clarity, I don't mind these things if I stumble upon them I guess, but I have no interest in chasing any of it from what I can tell. Purpose is lost on me, as it require future endevour to entertain a specific purpose. Or purposelessness is another way to say it. That last question is a hard one.. I find it quite easy to see others point of views. But since I'm not invested in any of it, I'm usually aware if I want to relate with others or not in the moment. So relationships are more of a constant active choice rather than taken for granted I suppose. Sometimes I think that I'm probably just depressed despite lacking those symptoms in that moment of reflection. But tbh, I feel that it has more to do with not living up to other peoples expectations that makes me second guessing myself sometimes, because as soon as I decide that all is good, then it just is. It can sometimes feel like an on/off switch type of thing. Even writing all this feels like thoughts describing thoughts, that is thinking about other thoughts. Whatever I am, it's not this. But I find that expressing thoughts is usually a fun activity.:-) Wheter I should care about certain things or not. The never ending list of shoulds seems to be too popular of a game to completely be given up on and completely ignored, if one likes to be able to interact with others under "normal" conditions.
  4. How do I distinguish between a problem and solution. If the best solution I come up with, could be judged as problematic at best.
  5. By trying to escape it.
  6. Yes, it does's indeed exist. Nothing that is.
  7. If you don't see it, then so be it.
  8. @zurew I think we are talking past eachother at this point. I have expressed my critical thoughts well enough. And based on your responses, I don't see that you are getting at what I have tried to point out. It's all good though. I have no interest in arguing for the sake of arguing.
  9. Why he made tesla is totally beside my main point here. Is taxes essential to live in a progressive modern world or not? Should the most rich people on the planet be praised as heros despite of their efforts to avoid that responsibility? It's one thing to be happy with your brand new tesla car, nothing odd about that at all. But why make an idol out of the owner of the company based of his personal beliefs? With regard to spaceX, there is alot of economic insentive to send up satelites inorder strive for monopoly over the digital market. To claim that the main purpose is to colonize mars and create an utopia for the human race, that is a great sales pitch for gaining trust in the market that no tv or radio commercial can beat despite huge investments into those types of media.
  10. NO LEO you are WRONG!!! Musk will delete depression and we will all have superminds with this cyber tech just wait and seeee!!!! What brain technology have you invented recently hu? HUUUH??? *wink wink*;-p
  11. No, it's not that simple as you try to make it out to be with that comparison. I think that praise and fame that he has invested in, is mainly a key factor for being on every persons mind even more so than before. Think of it as a commercial for tesla or his other brands. His elevated image of the most likely person to save the world and colonize mars is what will spell bound younger generations into investing in his brands over other similar brands. Why so? Because to invest in tesla, is to invest in a bright future for humankind, that is a major sales pitch, that may have some truth to it for being inovative with it's certain direction it is taking. But it would be very naive to expect a certain brand to be superior over similar products just because the company owner are an excentric optimist with no breakes or economic limits. I'm not saying that musk is better or worse than other billionares. What he has going for him, is a fresh perspective on things and the heart in the right place from what it seems, and that is all good. But that doesn't exclude him from being criticised in a destructive way. The main problem is not even Musk himself, but the hardcore fanbase that is falling deeper and deeper inlove with the heros journey he has gone through to be were he is today. I think Musks social media influence will gain him further advantages over his competitors, on the premise that his product will not only give you your promised product. But you also invest in the utopia that he is trying to build for everyone, and you as an investor are in for the ride! I truly believe that living on mars is a fariytale, but since it is possible to send robots over there, it serves and feeds greatly into that narrative to be true in a distant future. And no other company owner other than Musk, is promising such a utopic view of no limits. Let's aks ourself this for a change, if Musk is about to save the world. What is the likelihood that Musk has payed his right percent of taxes, in accordance with his totall earnings? We can of course only speculate about this question, but what are the chances do you think that he has even payed if fair deal out of all his earnings, and does it matter to you wheter the right amount of taxes are payed or not in the grand scheme of things?
  12. Don't forget that Mr Musk tried to reinvent the consept of tunnels. He wanted to save people from being stuck in traffic, so he made a smal tunnel that barely fits a medium sized car. This tunnel takes one car at the time! Lol.. My point is, that alot of the ambitious "saving the humans" projects that Mr musk is so famous for. Is at best very naive in many ways. But since he has the spare fundings to do all sort of crazy ideas on a whim, he also get alot of praise from his continously growing fan base. If he get's an idea, he will get his idea done no matter how stupid it is, because he pays for it all to be the way he wants it. Big projects don't usually work that way since it rarely is a one man show type of thing. I doubt that twitter will be revolutionized after he has implemented any changes to it, but I think he will stear it behind the scenes to gain even more praise and fame from that ever growing fanbase. My guess is that he will have the most followers on twitter at within a year or so, and that is good for his business. His edgy approach and meme project is what alot of youngsters look up to today, a tech messia that will save us from our selves in the future.
  13. Thats nice. Yeah no need to stress over it. Another thing I forgot to mention, is that new built apartments tends to be built to be more sound proof than older renovated apartments. But that may differ from country to country, but I would assume that it improves in general in modern citys across the globe. You're welcome!
  14. As an old skater, all I can say is that I doubt that it will be as noisy as you may imagine it will be. Regular traffic is in general much louder I would say. One thing with skate bowls, is that there can't even be alot of people skating in them at once, and those who do skate in them don't make alot of loud noises. People who skate are very chill in general as well, even the younger. You mentioned apartment, so what floor will you live on then?
  15. My impression of twitter, is that it's best use is to make short public announcements. So a great tool for commercial business for example. Not a very good interaction platfrom though. Since likes and retweeting is the main incentive for any interaction exchange. It can be a very lazy way of self expression in that regard.
  16. Real is considered events and actions that have consequenses in relation to time. Imaginary, is mind activity in our head space when we are partially or fully disconected with the bodily senses of our direct environment.
  17. Well said, I fully agree with this take. I was subscribed to Russel for a long time without really watching much of it to begin with. He has a reasonable side to things. But as I began to see how his thumbnails and titles becoming more and more clickbaity, It's clear that he is now catering to those who love getting into the curent conspiracy narratives. And it doesn't require any nuance to do so either, other than speaking with an loud upset voice and picking any critisism out of the air. And never ever question one's own line of thoughts.. Everything just fits perfectly thogheter if done in that way unfortunately. So the vast majority feels that their feeling of unjust and confusion has been heard and rightfully justified by mindlessly listening to these cherrypicked rants.
  18. Exactly this. I also saw a short clip of him adressing a" new solution" to editing a tweet by eradicate all likes and retweets if an edit was made. It is basically another way of deleting a post and repost it. So no groundbreaking change there either. Maybe Mr Musk has bigger plans tied to his curent business plans with twitter apart from making it into a freespeach platform. But nonetheless, I think he will have a lot of shitstorms coming his way from both of those 10% if they get pushed back in any shape or form.
  19. I mean.. They are quite direct with their "teachings", so how much of it do you really need to watch? When they say that there is no teaching, no one to awaken, nothing to awaken too. Then just take their word for it and move on to something else. It's that simple really. There are no nunce to such activity, other than refuting peoples questions in various ways from what I can see. Wheter they have deeper genuine insight that are helpful beyond what they curently do, will remain a mystery. And I personaly don't find those type of "teachers" much more interesting than any random person on the street tbh. Are you saying that you are feed up with spirituality as a whole because of those type of "teachings"?
  20. About as bad as fast food is for sommeone who try to lose weight probably.
  21. I would not say that the ultimate goal of meditation is to stop thinking. But rather become aware of thought as they arise, and not be draged along with a narrative in the mind that may take you on a emotional ride that you didn't asked for. It could be compared with lucid dreaming. Alot of time, most people don't know that they dreaming when they are in a dream. When compared with lucid dreaming. You find yourself in a dream, and can partake in the dream and make active choices based on your awakeness within the dream.
  22. It sure can be. Some nuance to those groundbreaking thoughts could indeed be helpful. Yes. Same sorce of consciousness in the most fundamental way.
  23. Very much alive here. What you seem to have mixed up with that other people's existance is yours. Is that it's not that other individual minds don't exist on their own. What every other human alive is for you, is filtered from your uniqe pespective alone. But this doesn't mean that you are alone, or that your perspective is so unique that it can't be grasped in a useful way for others. To be relatable, is to be coherent in something or other. Wheter that is an expressed idea or a feeling. If you piss some one off without being aware of it, they may slapp you in the face, despite that you didn't want to be slapped by "yourself" in that situation. And if you crack a joke, others may not find it funny, and other times they do. Hope that eased your confusion a bit.
  24. I agree with your overall take, especially the last sentence, that's a home run. How ever, the difference of what we are talking about as it seems, is that what I talk about when I say that truth is part of the equation. Is truth in a context to why we refer to truth as truth to begin with. And If I understand you right, you seem to stress the importance of truth directly as is, without the interest in contextualize understanding around it. All in all, I may be picky in my take. And we will probably keep speaking past eachother since we are in two different lanes here it seems. I agree with your take, but I will also say that I think context are adding depth to a disscusion if talking about truth, compared when speaking about what truth is. So speaking of truth and speaking about, truth. Is what seems to be going on, and that's fine.
  25. How would you then distinguish between truth and falsity then, if they where not both part of the same equation? You can't claim something to be absolute, without the notion of the parts that it contains. Your claim to truth as absolute must be based on the distinguishing of what is true and false. Just as light and darkness goes together. Truth + Falsity = Absolute. That makes truth and falsity same same but different, as being the totality of what is.
