  1. If you don't like that they are doing it then it's probably best to tell them that you don't like it. We can only theorize about what he/she would do. My guess is that that person would leave such circumstances and find a better one to live his or hers life. Just focusing on "I do not exist" is spiritual bypassing, it surpresses feelings. The better thing to do is to see what thought and feeling that come up when these situations come up. Then start to question those thought, are they actually true? Allow the feelings to come up fully and feel them.
  2. Yeah, there wasn't even a puzzle there to begin with. ? Yeah, it all falls away until nothing is opposed to truth.
  3. Is there such a thing as Truth though? It seems to me that anything defined as Truth is based on a thought. Yes! It seems like the duality of "A and B" or "A or B" collapse until it's all truth. but then what is there to say about it, it seems to me there's only things to say when truth is in opposition to something else which isn't completely truth.
  4. Ah yes! However to me it seems like Truth, as an objective truth, makes less sense and truth as a subjective one more sense. Truth is not truth until it has been realized. So do we talk about truth as Truth or truth as truth? ?
  5. If everything is nothing and it's non-dual, what is it that believes that others are wrong and it is right? Isn't that a duality?
  6. That's nice, hope the well is dug deep and the water is clear. ?
  7. The effort to get there comes from thought so thought is trying to go outside thought. When you experienced this the first time did you try to get there or did it just happen? It's more like an effortless relaxation into it than efforting/struggling to get there. This is a thought that want to get rid of thoughts. Thoughts are no problem for the no-self.
  8. Yes, that's probably what's happening. For some this "peeling away" happens over time without any realizations where big "chunks" of ego fall away. The "ugly" has to be seen before it can fall away completely. The ugly probably has impacted your before but unconsciously. Now you are conscious of it but still impacts your life but it will lose it's momentum once your conscious of it. Yeah it can feel very polarized. Can you recognize that "ego-mania" is happening and surrender to it?
  9. Yeah "Fear" is just the label that thought puts on the feeling but it's not the actual feeling itself. Instead of feeling I would use the word being to that which you point to just to not mix it up with feelings which happens within being. I wouldn't use the word control at all.
  10. Yeah that's a good description. ? In your example thought seem to control feeling, in others it seems like the feeling you have is the basis of what thoughts arise. When thinking of a snake fear (feeling) might arise. When seeing a snake the fear (feeling) might arise which then produces thoughts of what to do to deal with the snake. Maybe there isn't one or the other that is "controlling" but just the body as a whole which is reacting to external and internal stimuli?
  11. The authetic self is no self. Authenticity in doing feels natural, there is no struggle to do it so it's effortless.
  12. That doesn't seem wrong to me but not all feelings are reactions to thought. In what way do you think that it's bullshit? ?
  13. You could try sitting with the feeling of desire in the body and feeling it fully. It will bring equanimity to it.
  14. Indeed. You will get different answers depending on where on the path people are and they aren't necessarily right or wrong. It's simply their interpretation of their experience. Thoughts and feeling have different levels of impact depending on how identified one is to the thought or feeling. Identification is believing that it's true. If you are identified to the thought "there is something wrong with me" you might look for what's wrong. If you don't identify with it will arise and pass without any impact at all. If you identify with the feeling anger in a certain situation you might yell and scream. If not then you'll still be calm. These are of course very simplified examples so the best is if you investigate this yourself. The human body is hooked up to grasp things that give "positive" feelings and push away things that gives "negative" feelings. So in that sense feelings might not always be the best guide. If one looks for that which feel true then yes feeling can be a powerful guide.
  15. No the feeling doesn't say anything, the feeling just IS. It's thought that says that feeling says it aligns with the thought or not. All interpretations comes from thought. Thought judges the feeling. Good and bad doesn't exist without a thought. Thought evaluates another thought by the feeling that comes with it. If the feeling is "bad" the 2nd thought judges that the 1st thought was "bad". But there is no "good" or "bad" thoughts or feelings without the thought that it's "good" or "bad". Yes feelings doesn't mean anything, feeling just IS. What would be the value of thought if all meaning was illusiory? It would lose all power it had so of course it says "that's not it". ?
  16. Non-dual after realization because there no longer appears to be a separate self looking out from the body, rather seeing appears within the self. Yeah there are differences but different like waves in an ocean is different waves but the same water. In essence the banana and computer is the same beneath the appearance of them.
  17. There's probably not a cell left in your body that hasn't been replaced by new cells since your birth. Does that mean that you has been replaced as well? Or is there something that you call "I" that has been left unchanged?
  18. By the way you phrase it it sounds like you think awareness is something but it can be hard to convey such a subtle 'thing'. It's more like a no-thing. Yes it is a false claim because that which says that "I am aware" is a thought. Awareness doesn't speak.
  19. Do you prefer coffee or tea?
  20. Yes there's nothing wrong with desires but they do seem to fall away with time. Wanting to get rid of a desire is also a desire. ? I would describing a desire coming from a place of lack. Where you believe something is missing and in order to feel complete you need to gain the desired object. Instead of desires there seem to be an intuit knowing of what to do in each moment and it comes from a place of completion. There won't be any gain of happiness or anything else because happiness is already here and everything is already complete.
  21. If there's hunger I eat and if I'm tired I sleep. That might sound boring but it's quite joyful to let the body decide where it wants to go and what to do.
  22. Can you describe your normal state and how it effects you? Is drinking alcohol a way to relieve the pain that come while being in your normal state?
