  1. John 14:6 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
  2. There aren't any genuine truthful answers on this forum because everyone keeps parroting that they are God. Yeah, that's very helpful...
  3. Yeah, this was a stupid argument from Elon. He's basically saying the government shouldn't be given any money, because the government sucks. Even though he may be right, the alternative of total anarchy is worse.
  4. Teal Swan is full of it
  5. Republicans are going to win 2024 anyway. Democratic party is a mess
  6. There are genuine 'gurus' out there with real knowledge, insight and skill. But people like Sadhguru and Osho are, for the most part, showmen/actors. It's like these 'wealth preachers' like Joel Olsteen who preach the Gospel in order to get rich and get all the material things your ego desires. Sadhguru and Osho are a more subtle incarnation of that. They will give you breadcrumbs of truth, but it will never satisfy you, it will only make you more hungry. In order that you will keep buying their stuff, and following their lectures. All the while they will keep getting more power and wealth, and you are exactly the same off. Just with your money in their pockets. Be aware of these snakes.
  7. That's pretty much JP's message; start with fixing yourself. Clean your room, put yourself in order. On the other hand JP is also a seeker, someone who is looking for existential truth just like people on this forum. It's really funny that people want to put him down on this forum as a lowly 'Stage blue thinker', but he is obviously more accomplished and enlightened than any person on this forum
  8. Why are aliens so obsessed with the USA? They appear there all the time, always abducting people and probing them, but never in any other areas of the world
  9. Do you follow the news at all? Pedophilia and sexual abuse among wealthy and powerful people is a real thing and a major problem. And should definitely not be said in the same vain as 'reptilians' and 'flat earth'.
  10. Positive discrimination is discrimination, period. Put people in power and positions with responsibility because they have the competence and skillset to handle it, not because they are of a certain gender or skin color. Because if you don't, it's like pushing down on a water filled balloon, you may suppress the water in a certain area, but it's going to pop up in another one. By thinking you solved one problem, you are just creating another. The problem now becomes, you don't know where it exactly will create problems. So engaging in positive discrimination the government is pushing buttons of which they don't know the full societal ramifications of. But they can point to numbers and statistics; 'see guys, we solved discrimination!'. No you didn't, you just moved the problem.
  11. You can try the methods through self help. And for some people this can work, if the problem hasn't become too big for your ego to handle. But there are also problems that can have gained so much momentum in one's psyche that it's pretty much unstoppable. We see this in heroin addiction, cocaine, food, alcohol etc. No amount of personal willpower can help these people. No matter how hard they try, they keep falling back into the habit. Problems can become so big, that we personally can't solve it. That's something that self help guru's will never admit though. Even getting help from other people isn't always enough. That's why in alcohol addiction courses, there's always a call to a higher power, to God. Problems can become so big you have to surrender to God, and hand your problems over to Him. Because you can't do it on your own any more. So keep that in mind, if you are feeling lost and clueless, there is a way out of your problems which self help literature usually won't acknowledge.
  12. Companies that make good products can still engage in immoral and unethical marketing practices.
  13. That's nonsense. You can't have faith in nothing. You can only put your faith in something. If I'm hanging on the side of the ledge of a high building I'm not just going to 'let go'. Because I know I will hit the ground like an exploding watermelon. That's what life is, we are hanging on the side of a ledge. Life could be over for us any day. But life would be unbearable if we lived life every second of everyday terrified of death. That's why we put faith in things that we can trust, things we can hold onto.
  14. Faith is inherent to being, it's impossible to be alive without faith. The question is; where does your faith lie? You can have faith in yourself, the government, your work, your family, your skillset, your intelligence, your social skills etc. Faith is unconditional trust you put in something or someone that you expect you can lean on regardless the circumstances presented to you. If you don't have faith in God, that means you do not trust him. If you can't trust someone or something means that you can't fully love it. You will be constantly questioning their intentions and actions, suspicous what they will do. This distrust boils down to a deep fear. In order to have a full relationship with God you have to let go of that distrust. Because the underlying fear is inhibiting that relationship. The only reason you have fear is because you feel cut off from God. So you have to surrender that fear by fully putting your trust in God, because God is the only thing you can fully trust if you analyze this reality.
  15. As someone who has a bachelor's degree in marketing I always felt most of marketing, in general, is a bunch of hot air and mostly aimed at misleading, scamming and overhyping products and services to gullible suckers. I still believe that noble and genuine promotion and marketing is possible, and even necessary. But in the professional field of marketing you will find few people who question the morality and ethics of their practice.
  16. The way Jesus is different from other people that became 'enlightened' is that Jesus never 'sinned', according to scripture. He never needed to realize enlightenment because he always already was the perfect embodiment of 'The Father'. The Father being infinite consciousness, and the Son(Jesus) is the limited incarnation. Jesus was not omnipotent and omniscient like the Father, but he was a perfect incarnation of the Father in the flesh. So Jesus was God, but he still had human limitations like other people. He only needed to adapt his divine nature to our 'fallen' world so he could spread his message. And God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one essence. So the manifest and unmanifest are one essence, yet separate 'persons'.
  17. Every person is definitely unique. Uniqueness doesn't mean we don't share commonalities.
  18. Focus on your own life. I mean, we are all called to be in service to other people in some way, like through our work. But only you can enjoy and/or suffer your own life, not someone else. So you gotta find a way to make life meaningful, for you. And, probably, a part of that will entail you finding a worthwhile expression through work. Another part may be raising a family and being part of a community. And another part(imo the most important one) will be having a strong spiritual connection to God. A good life is not going to fly into your lap. If you take that mentality, then yes, all will be lost probably.
  19. I would say that God is inherently good. And there is a varying degree of lacking goodness in the world which comes from ignorance and fear. So good is absolute, whereas evil only exists as a relative to good. Even the worst evil still contains a little bit of good, whereas absolute good does not contain any evil. That's why good eventually prevails over evil.
  20. In my experience, the dream job that will provide meaning, pleasure and satisfaction in your life doesn't exist. You have to find the meaning in your life in general, in your soul. A FedEx job can be great for a while. You can learn about the logistics and politics that goes on in such an environment. You can learn to deal with new people, acquire new skills. But never put any hope in a job to fulfill you because you will be only disappointed. And it's also not a good idea to grow comfortable at a job so that you become part of the interior. You will start to feel stuck, which will seep into other areas of your life. Stay on your toes, learn to dance in the fire. Yes, the system is set up for people to get a job and rest on their laurels, just working mindlessly. The system is made for sheep. And it's fine to work within that system, we all have to. But you should not engage with the system of sheep with a sheepish mentality, because then you will be just exploited. You have to keep the ball in your own court, or else the system will eat you alive.
  21. I'm not in favor of forcing for women to get pregnant, as that is their own responsibility. What I'm not in favor of is killing human beings in the womb. And yes, I know that the reality is that people who are not emotionally mature yet will become pregnant anyway. But the right decision is not to shift that responsibility on an innocent lifeform that won't get a chance at life because of a lack of maturity in the mother. I'm generally against fighting evil with evil. Trying to solve poverty with killing babies? That's just not a viable and moral solution, nor is it an effective one. The right to abortion has little to no effect on the level of poverty and abuse. We should make sure we create enough support systems for families and single mothers in need. We really do not need to resort to killing innocent babies. Who else, in history, resorted to killing a certain demographic to, supposedly 'solve' societal problems? The Nazi's. And yes, if the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother. It's justified to choose the mother over the baby. In that instance we have to be pragmatic and concede that there is no way to save both lives. Regarding unviable pregnancy; I'm not sure on this. I have read reports of doctors that have told their patients that their baby was unviable, but came out healthy anyway. So i'm not sure on this issue. But overall, I don't think it's ever morally justified to kill a baby in the womb. Regarding sex education; I'm totally for sex education that promotes safe and responsible sexual behavior to prevent pregnancies and STDs. And you are right, research does seem to indicate there is some effectiveness in its usage, so that's a good sign. I said that it mostly won't help because it won't help to drastically reduce the enormous numbers of abortions that are done every year. Most women that get pregnant know the risks of having unprotected sex. They know, they just do it anyway. Also, we are living in a 'hookup culture' where sex is available around every corner. People don't have to try any more to get sex. And I think that promoting and normalizing abortions just aid to this culture. Which I see as a low conscious culture. A high conscious culture takes responsibility for its actions, not evades it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0tQZhEisaE
  22. I'm not a communist or socialist so no, I don't support that the state takes away all responsibilities of the parents to raise their child. People need a bit of struggle in their lives, because that is a part of life anyway. Just pumping money around is not going to take that away. But of course, government should support single mothers that are struggling. It should be easier for people to adopt a child. I'm all for helping people that are struggling in life. Because everyone deserves a minimum standard of living, and everyone deserves a chance at life. With abortion you take away a chance at life for someone that was supposed to have one. And yeah, I'm all for sex education and such. I don't think it's going to help much though, but I am in favor of it. But to answer your last question, the responsibility always belongs first to the parents, not the government. The primary task of the government is to protect the freedom and safety of its citizens. Not to take over the life of every individual.
  23. Abortion is murder. Stop twisting facts. This article is a liberal propaganda piece to stir up hate against the Republicans. Liberals don't give any facts, just appeals to the indignation of 'oppressed people'.
