  1. Hey guys, I overthink a lot. Be it just a normal conversation or some minor mistake in social interactions, I will usually spend the rest of the day overthinking about it. And this is also true for past trauma, I always think about it and waste huge amonunts of time on it. I think this is linked to confidence and self-esteem so maybe I could start improving in that area. Can you please give me some exercises because I tried Nathaniel Branden's random sentence strings but I didn't like them. Can you give me something else, I meditate a lot but need something to take care of more daily problems. My daily life and social interactions suffer a lot from this and I am often insecure or do dumb stuff when around people.
  2. @Leo Gura You have probably heard of LBRY protocol, it is decentralised P2P service that enables everyone to share and watch videos. The platform is relatively new and is very popular among privacy-conscious individuals. Since I dislike Google's monopoly on the Internet, and it's poor ad revenue to video-makers like you, on LBRY the payments for a single view are often 5 TIMES BIGGER than on YouTube. It's very easy to link LBRY with YT account. Also your content will reach so many new people and your channel will grow faster. Please research this option and think about it. It's one of the most popular stage green-yellow alternatives to YT we have today. Your viewers like me will then be able to watch videos on odysee.com or download free and open-source app. This would be helpful for our whole community.
  3. Ecosia. It's probably the most effective way for us consumers to save planet just by implementing one small change. Ecosia is the search engine that donates 80% of it's profits to planting trees and reforestation in Third World countries, elevating people from poverty. If you don't believe me, just go to ecosia.org and check out the perfect example of cutting-edge stage green example of digital activism. They are also great privacy wise, meaning they will never sell your data. I find this the best example of modern activism, replacing stage orange search engine like Google with stage green search engine Ecosia. Now, main argument is that all the other search engine give poorer results. While that is true, Google is biased and knows all of your data so of course it gives better results for you. It's not that Ecosia is technogically inferior to Google, it's just the fact that it doesn't collect data about you. For 90% of your daily search activities, you probably open your browser and type in "YouTube", or search a site that you always go to. If you set Ecosia as your daily search engine, those daily searches add up a lot and every day you can plant on average 1 tree. When you specifically want to search a site or have a question that is hard to find online, simply go to Google and search it there. But your daily practices cumulatively add up a lot and in no time, you will help the planet and all of the humanity by ton.
  4. I don't get it why should we give money to YouTube, it's monopolistic giant, it basically destroys competition and small businesses, cares 0 for user privacy. If you want to achieve any online presence you are basically doomed if you choose to boycott YouTube. Why not just use adblocker? There are tons of them online and for phones. It would be so beneficial for mankind if we cut back profit for the biggest data monopoly on Earth, and use it to invest in other things. YouTube doesn't just ear money from Premium. That's side income for them. They became multi-billion company because pf data mining and tracking all of their users. People like Leo shouldn't depend on YouTube to gain their audience, but we live in a world where you basically can't escape YT. I get it, it enables us to watch everything, it's almost a peak of human evolution in technology. But we have to move past that. We have much more to achieve technology-wise, and we as a civilization have touched the tip of the iceberg in Internet development, Google has led that revolution during 00s but now it has just become a virus, eating everything just for the sake of maximum profit return.
  5. I would agree with Leo here, also did you know that all speakers emmit EMF radiation, and headphones are light speakers that go straight in your ears and near the brain so I would advise you against using headphones altogether, especially Bluetooth ones. Some people develop cancers, others don't, it's hard to say but we know for a fact that human-induced radiation near our bodies alters subconscious radiation patterns. Earth's whole magnetic field emmits radiation and we are perfectly evolved to live with it, but our technology changes it when we are near it.
