My bank doesn't let me use ChatGPT-4 because my bank says that it's a scam. So even the creators of AI are scammers.
-
So I tried to buy a subscription for ChatGPT-4 at www.openai.com It wouldn't accept my purchase. So I called my bank to ask why I can't buy it. It turned out that my bank blocks purchases from www.openai.com because it's a fraud. It's the biggest bank in Sweden. But they still got my credit card details. So my bank had to block my credit card and I have to wait for a new credit card, and then hassle with a million automatic payments which wont work anymore because my old card is blocked.

I don't think the war is about that. Putin wants Soviet Union back and he thought it would be easy to take Ukraine since it's not in Nato. The war in Donbas since 2014 made it impossible for Ukraine to join Nato, because Nato doesn't accept new members who are in conflict. Russia could have continued with the Donbas war forever and that way forever prevented Ukraine from joining Nato. Russia could also have done something smaller than a full scale invasion, but like I said, the Donbas war was enough. So there's no reason at all to launch a full scale invasion if you just want to prevent Ukraine from joining Nato.

China is rich because west gives China money.
-
No the west did not provoke this war to make Russia bleed resources. Russia is the attacker. Period. The only thing Nato can be blamed for is that they kept their door tightly shut for Ukraine. Had Ukraine joined Nato, then this war would have never happened.
-
Simply not true. Is it fun to believe in falsehood or what? Or do you have a agenda? Dude... stop blaming Nato. It was Ukraine who wanted to join Nato, but Nato said no. And then even Ukraine stopped wanting a Nato membership. And free countries are allowed to choose their own security policies. So Nato nor Ukraine did anything wrong, only Russia did. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2014/09/04/that-time-ukraine-tried-to-join-nato-and-nato-said-no/ "That time Ukraine tried to join NATO — and NATO said no" "a decision was made to offer neither Ukraine nor Georgia a NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP)" "the United States later appeared to drop its support for NATO membership for Ukraine and Georgia." "Yushchenko seemed despondent after the Bucharest summit. "I am sure that the ball is not on the Ukrainian side of the field, Ukraine has done everything it had to do," the Ukrainian president told the Times of London in November 2008. "We are devoted to this pace. Everything else is an issue of political will of those allies who represent NATO. Ukraine's hopes of joining NATO finally ended in 2010, when Yushchenko lost the presidential election to Viktor Yanukovych, the man he had helped oust during the Orange Revolution and the man forced out by protests earlier this year. Yanukovych announced that he didn't see a need for further integration with NATO: Speaking in May 2010, he explained that it was a "unrealistic prospect" for Ukraine. In June, Ukraine's parliament passed a bill that confirmed the country's nonaligned status and effectively canceled any prospect of joining NATO. Yanukovych began to pursue a more Kremlin-friendly foreign policy." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine–NATO_relations "The interim Yatsenyuk Government initially said that it had no plans to join NATO. However, following the Russian annexation of Crimea and Russian military support for armed separatists in eastern Ukraine, the Second Yatsenyuk Government made joining NATO a priority." So it was in this order: Ukraine wanted to join Nato, but Nato said no. >> Ukraine stopped wanting to join Nato. Became more Kremlin friendly >> Yanukovych (president of Ukraine) was pushed out of office because of protests (it was the will of the Ukrainian people). >> Russia raped Ukraine by annexing Crimea. >> Ukraine started to want to join Nato again.

You can't think clearly. Ukraine did nothing against Russia to deserve getting attacked. West did nothing either to make Ukraine deserve getting attacked. And Russia didn't attack because it feared that Nato might invade Russia. Russia attacked only because it wanted more land, power and resources, wishing to get something like Soviet Union back. The war is Putin's and Kremlin's fault, no one else's. The only way how the war could have been avoided is that Ukraine had given the country to Russia without resistance. I guess you are for that. But I'm for freedom. As a sovereign and free country Ukraine chose to fight against getting enslaved by a dictator. Ukraine is fighting for its freedom and future well-being and prosperity. West gives well-being, freedom and prosperity, while Russia gives enslavement, misery, corruption, poverty, etc. Ukraine doesn't want to get sucked into a shithole.

Thanks, I got my answer.

In which country do you live?

What is wrong with all you guys who are against USA, Nato, and west. And for Russia and Putin. You are also spreading disinformation. And why doesn't anyone object against it? Where is the decent people? There's something wrong with this forum. For the love of God, if you live in a western country, stop spreading disinformation which just hurts yourself. It's depressing to see so many deluded people. I need to stop reading threads which are about this kind of topics.

Okay, thanks -

@Leo Gura So it's impossible for me to awaken since I don't tolerate psychedelics? (I can only get bad delusional trips on psychedelics). -
This is pretty optimistic:

I see..

Is there any expert who thinks that AI wont kill us? I haven't seen any. I have only seen experts who says that humanity will get killed or that AI is very dangerous. It would be nice to hear something positive and comforting from a expert. Why doesn't the governments, especially US government, prioritize the danger more? Imagine a huge asteroid on collision course with earth, imagine what a high priority it would be. But in this case: nothing. Damn my psyche is too weak for this stuff. Maybe I have been naive and stupid. I thought humanity would outlive even earth, that we would leave earth before it dies. But instead maybe we will soon die because of freaking AI..
-
@Leo Gura Thought so. Np.
-
@Leo Gura But.. the OP was talking about sentience/consciousness..
-
You can never know if a AI machine is sentient or not.. But I don't think that AI can ever become sentient. I don't think consciousness arises from computing. Remember, not even materialist science really knows how consciousness emerges. So it's really weird to suddenly make the leap into believing that some fucking computers can somehow magically become conscious if they just crunch some numbers fast enough. *Facepalms*
-
Everything in life is a gamble and we will all die anyway. And no risk no gain. We need that AI stuff so we can develop even further than our brains allow. Of course you should be careful and put safety mechanisms and stuff in it, but take a chillpill and don't freak out too much, don't panic. Of course I have opened my mind to it.
-
They are programmed for that stuff. That's one thing. But the AI thing overall is a different thing. I don't think it would get a will of it's own and want to kill whole humanity. And even if it would want to, it wouldn't be able to. We are superior to ants, and ants are even annoying, yet we don't want to kill all ants on earth. Why would we want to? The list of reasons why we will be fine with AI goes on and on and on.
-
Also, if it isn't conscious, why would it even desire to survive? Or desire anything for that matter. Humans are anthropomorphising AI. I don't think that AI will ever become conscious. And also, without humans the servers would quickly lose electricity etc. because electricity production would stop. Robots which can fully by themselves take care of electricity production at large scale are far far away in the future.
-
What the hell? That guy needs to take a chillpill. He sounds so sure, but he can't know for sure. Everyone calm down, we'll be fine. In what way would it benefit AI to kill us all? If it's so smart, then it's smart enough to be beyond life and death, so it wouldn't care about what we do or don't do with it.

You got it backwards. Believing that the thoughts are yours is the nice, comforting, desirable, mentally healthy, and optimal condition. In fact you also think that your thoughts are yours, you would freak out if your thoughts would be foreign. Having foreign voices in your head is absolutely terrifying. -

Every time you say things like the highlighted things, you deny solipsism. Can't you at least try to be consistent and stop contradicting yourself? It's kinda annoying. -
Blackhawk replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Trying to convince yourself? ? Isn't it a contradiction when you say that everything is imagination and materialism is wrong, and then you say that we are limited by genes (which is a part of materialism) and can't do anything about it?
