  1. With a religious group in the past, or on your own?
  2. You didn't delude yourself. You can embody that understanding in everyday sober life and function normally. You can have the best of both worlds, cause there are no separate worlds. Awakenings or trips like that are like glimpses and you can use them as a kind of road map for the mind to understand the heart, (they are the same, but you get what I mean) and aligning our lives. Bit by bit the way we see people and relate and think of things is aligned with the realization of oneness. Your best bet is to meditate, follow a good diet and exercise, read and study and then follow your heart. Check out the book, "The Nature of Consciousness" by Rupert Spira. It will help you understand this and everything on a greater, deeper level. God/Consciousness/Awareness, always with you, always is you.
  3. When are we going door to door in suits? I suppose we don't even have to because of the hundredth monkey effect. That's really good news.
  4. Hey, good luck! I've struggled with either endometriosis or PCOS, lots of cyclical pain but due to other choices and circumstances I never got clear diagnosis. I decided to go the diet route and found it to be a huge help, but also a long process. I'm mostly dairy and gluten free, I found the most benefit from cutting back on sugar and dairy. Like Michael said, being really choosey about the fats you eat is key too. When I was a kid we had all kinds of hydrogenated fats in our diets and if they weren't it was overly heated canola oil, or some other low quality fat. I do fine with grass-fed butter. That might help if you're feeling deprived. There's some studies that suggest that women, especially younger women can get away with more saturated fats than men can. I also highly recommend this book as there are so many variables in our lives to contribute to pain and disease. https://www.amazon.com/Womens-Bodies-Wisdom-Creating-Emotional/dp/0525486119/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&qid=1608389918&refinements=p_27%3AChristiane+Northrup+M.D.&s=books&sr=1-1&text=Christiane+Northrup+M.D.
  5. Heal means literally to make whole, sort of like yoga means union. Cure comes from Latin curatus, past participle of curare "to take care of". Funny that we have the modern day connotations of the two words backwards as to their original meanings. Maybe the process of healing and curing and the finality of the process aren't different?
  6. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? A watched pot never boils and there's no "we", "there" or "yet" Your thoughts are an object of awareness, and mind notices contrast. So if you've been holding a lot of beliefs that are causing you to resist, and then one or more of those beliefs is let go, the feeling of lightness is incredible, blissful. Mind notices the contrast, just like when you have the stomach flu for a day and suddenly recover, you feel a sense of bliss. Contrast is created by mind. You didn't gain anything but you released an unconscious tension. It's ok to want the bliss, but to get it you have to not hold it apart from yourself in mind created tension of time and space. So when people are like, "it's already done, there's nothing to want, you're enlightened", they are 100% right but can in their own experience unconsciously cover over or resist desire. Resisting desire or search is resistance and an unwillingness to explore desire or search. Then when people are like, "there's infinite levels", they create a story that of themselves in a position on a ladder or path suggesting that they are somehow lacking, or not where they want to be, which can hold them in an experience of lack. Either take-a-way or conclusion to this problem can perpetuate resistance. That's why we debate this so much. Someone tries to find security in one or the other, and the other senses the security and feels insecure in response. Neither of these take-a-ways are right, yet they both are true. All you can do is become aware of your own resistances by feeling into them. Excitement, mystery and anticipation of what may come is an amazing feeling that can only be experienced right now. In the actual experience of that feeling, there's no story of time or location.
  7. It's like going through a second adolescence. I'm an ADULT now. oh... wait. That's been my own experience anyway.
  8. I make them hard. You neither can nor can't take action. Action isn't what it seems, but we all know by feeling the difference of resistance, effort, or being in the flow and accepting. So I say, let's play. Action out of love happens all by itself, and is the only non action everything else is effort. That's why love is aligned with awareness. I mean you're here. You're part of some sort of story, fictional though it may be it is epic and created out of love. You are love, created by love for love, by love.
  9. Sure. You could say love is an aligned quality of awareness. Total openness, allowance, unconditional, acceptance, intimacy with everything. So love manifest in the world is an aligned quality of awareness which makes it True.
  10. What would truth be without the love of truth and where would love be if it wasn't true? You don't have experiences with infinite love realized rocks? You people don't get outside enough.
  11. What is faith but neither knowing nor not knowing with an element of love.
  12. Well, you are the only one who can masturbate, since the thought of someone else mentally masturbating is just your own mental activity. You're stuck in your own trap and you are are the master baiter.
  13. Maybe start with the understanding that the activity doesn't bring you enjoyment, but you bring enjoyment to the activity.
  14. Lots of focus on pointlessness in your descriptions. Try to look more at the journey or the discovery. What are you truly seeking to gain as an end goal from these things?
  15. Try to make your food choices from a place of intuition and inspiration. Don't fear or demonize foods, just select what resonates with you. I don't currently do well on a vegetarian diet because I can't digest most sources of plant protein or even eggs. I tried it and decided meat was disgusting. My intuition was like "eat the fucking chicken already" and I was like, "screw you intuition, I'm a high vibrational being!". Then I got kinda fat and really tired. I live in a rural area and there are a lot of amazing opportunities to support local farms, hunting and fishing. I even have a friend who delivers for me from a local farm, it's organic and run by some amazing people. The Native Americans who lived here ate a lot of meat. If you've ever gardened you'll know that cow manure grows vegetables a lot faster and easier than making plant composts. I dunno, balance and harmony isn't so cut and dried.
  16. Too busy trying to decide whether they should screw it or crucify it.
  17. @Persipnei I developed a lot of thought patterns after having my second kid that my partner never helped and I had lost all the joy in my life in this sort of self sacrifice martyrdom for my kids. When you have kids you have to learn to not use them as an excuse for cutting yourself off from the things you want and that's hard when you're the mom because becoming a mother is a shocking transition. It's especially difficult because mothers are expected to give up more that fathers are, and they have the hormonal changes on top of the more severe life transitions. The husband wants the carefree loving wife back, and feels even less like helping or even being around at all because he feels like it's expected and what he wants is to be appreciated. Both come to silently resent each other and may resent the child too. This is so common now because more than ever raising children is such an isolated thing for a couple. Before the community and extended family was a much greater part of raising them and not so much of the burden went directly to the parents. When we can see the bigger picture we can start to see the resentment thought patterns, discuss, forgive and help meet each others needs better. That's just my experience anyway. Good luck.
  18. Awakening really shook my marriage but we came out of it much better than before. Amazing how many judgements and colored perceptions can form over the years of living with someone. Amazing to see that that's not actual. Amazing to keep seeing it every freaking day. lol I have a hunch that this is completely key. What about your perceptions of her changed when your son was born?
  19. Yes, I do understand and I also think that you make an important point. There's a balance, and we don't know what balance is unless we experience or observe an unbalance. I've seen and also lived examples of both. I think certain practices, archetypes, (in my opinion deities are archetypes) systems, symbolism, stories and traditions can be incredibly helpful tools, but a tool is neutral and can be used properly or misused. There was a time when I was so dogmatic about minimalism and being practical that I cut off a lot of the joy inherent in life and when I let it back in a got a bit too crazy trying to own it rather than letting it flow. I think we can only know by feeling for ourselves when we are trying to control too much or when we are indulging too much.
  20. I made some really strong friendships in highschool. I don't get to see them nearly as often but when we do see each other it's just as awesome as it always was.
  21. Nobody or no thing can posses consciousness.
  22. So what do contemplation and love practices lead back to?
  23. Predicting the future implies that there is a real linear time line which is not the case, which is exactly why people can sometimes predicts the future. The future creates the past as much as past creates future. In the case of the dreams Carl Jung mentions, I've had those same recurrent dreams about an unexplored area of my house. I also in real life I bought an old house and gutted a wall where I found a sealed off section and a newspaper so I always wondered if it had to do with the house renovations. I think that our desires predict the future and future discoveries if the desires are somewhat selfless and we allow them. Sometimes dreams show desires to us.
  24. Language Latin lingua "tongue," also "speech, language," from PIE root *dnghu- "tongue."
