Several European nations openly opposed the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The most notable ones were: France – President Jacques Chirac strongly opposed the invasion, calling instead for continued weapons inspections. Germany – Chancellor Gerhard Schröder firmly rejected military intervention. Russia (not EU, but part of Europe) – Vladimir Putin also opposed the war, aligning with France and Germany. Belgium, Luxembourg, and Austria – opposed military action without a U.N. mandate. Greece – officially against the invasion. Sweden and Finland – critical of the war and emphasized diplomacy. On the other hand, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Poland, and several Eastern European countries supported the U.S. -
.. do it? I think Europe is already quite peaceful. Many European countries don’t partake in war. France and Brits are mostly outliers. There a huge “beef” between Brits and Russians in a way which is ancient at this point although they also respect each in ways and theres a lot of Russian money in London etc. But i guess Europe has to take Russias security concerns serious. Have an open honest serious dialogue. Russia has to stop meddling in European politics etc. Let’s make business. Ukraine can act as a buffer state. With a very strong army. Integrated into EU market and with security guarantees. Europe and Russia must go back to making serious business with each other so that there’s no incentive for conflict. And then at some point in decades integrate Russia into EU (also Turkey) Tadaa superpower. And we lived happily ever after. The main issue is trust and diverging interests i guess. And the US who lives far away but has a lot of control.

If Americans start to attack Mexico. Bombing them killing many women and Children then yes after that China or Russia should maybe station nukes there to protect Mexicans. -

I mean i think Europeans are fumbling without a strategy. Bad leadership. Still they’re in a bad position because Ukrainians ask for help against Russian vile aggression. And there are lots of Ukrainian refugees in Europe. And the US and Russians started this mess. So what should Europeans do? Just station nukes in Ukraine and call it a day? -

You could call it western encroachment. Or you could call it countries like Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia etc. want to move the fuck away from you (Russia, Putin) and closer to Europe because they’re just not that into you. -

@zazen and people who think Russians are truthful or whatever. Don’t you think arguments like those ”We have to denazify Ukraine” and “Ukraine was never fully autonomous it always was part of Russia.” show that Russians and Putin is lying and just want to expand and fortify their sphere of influence. The Nazi argument is lame. Russia has many of their own far right nazi type nationalist bois and gangs. Russia supports far right parties in Europe. I think it’s meant to trigger those old fears of when Nazis attacked and decimated Soviets and get Russians to submit/agree and follow the lead. -

I probably wouldn’t because i already always had a problem with authority. But i’m sure a few here would. -

Not necessarily. Otherwise there wouldn’t be that many cults and Scientology etc. The guys in the cult who the cult leader gave them suicide juice probably thought he was genuine. -

I’m not saying they should stop giving advice or whatever. But those who claim to have truth should film a day in their life and post it here. So then we can see who is glowy, floaty, truthy and worth to be followed or considered. -

Well advice and people claiming to have truth and knowledge. And what’s right and wrong. -
PurpleTree replied to PurpleTree's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Well you’re wrong. There are many people giving such advice here. -

Why do you guys always seem to argue? -
PurpleTree replied to PurpleTree's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yea i think a lot of advice is just reinforcing the “me" -

Advice is not a hug. Wrong advice can lead you astray or keep you trapped. -

It seems all sides were quite delusional in this war and now we’re stuck. Remember when Poohtin was shacking and we thought he’s almost a goner. Or when the Russians thought it’s a few days war. Or when Prigozhin marched to Moscow gosh at that time i was in a hostel in Medellin Colombia and i was amped the f uup. -

Alriiight, the clarification “process” makes sense. It happens similarly here. But i wouldn’t say I’m achieving it. It just seemingly happens that way. -

Gosh. That was all old white hippies fighting back against those ice creams. It’s wild how the US remained to be the hegemon with all those internal problems. -

I mean about EU countries. Yea there are Putin guys in the EU like Orban, the Slovakian boi and so on. -
No that’s what i said. It makes sense for them i’m not being ironic.
-
Yea and it makes sense for China to put people into reeducation camps because they’re not assimilating. And it made sense for the Nazis to put people into ovens and want more Lebensraum. It makes sense for Russia to take Ukraine because of strategic reasons.

Here’s what gpt said. This is a complex question with political, economic, and historical dimensions. To give a balanced and honest answer: Short Answer: Yes, some policies supported by Democrats (as well as Republicans) have contributed to the weakening of the middle class in the U.S. over the past several decades. However, attributing the decline solely or primarily to Democrats would be historically inaccurate. Both parties have played roles—sometimes collaboratively—in shaping the economic conditions that have eroded middle-class stability. Long Answer: 📉 What Happened to the Middle Class? Since the 1970s, the U.S. middle class has faced: Wage stagnation despite rising productivity. Outsourcing and deindustrialization, leading to job losses. Weaker unions, reducing bargaining power. Skyrocketing costs for housing, healthcare, and education. Tax policy changes that favor wealthier individuals and corporations. Automation and globalization, which disrupted traditional middle-income jobs. 🟦 Democratic Complicity: In What Ways? 1. Trade Policy NAFTA (1994) – championed by President Bill Clinton and supported by many Democrats – accelerated the loss of manufacturing jobs. Though it increased overall trade, it hurt certain working-class communities. 2. Financial Deregulation Clinton-era Democrats repealed Glass-Steagall (1999), a Depression-era law that separated commercial and investment banking. This deregulation contributed to risky financial practices that led to the 2008 crash, devastating middle-class wealth (especially home equity). 3. Education and Student Debt Support for privatized student lending and the expansion of for-profit colleges under Democratic administrations helped fuel the student debt crisis, burdening younger generations of the middle class. 4. Welfare Reform The 1996 Welfare Reform Act, signed by Clinton, cut social safety nets and led to long-term hardships for poor and working-class Americans. It reduced poverty assistance without adequately addressing structural job shortages. 🟥 Republican Complicity: Just as Significant To be clear, many Republican-led policies also hurt the middle class: Union-busting laws, especially in right-to-work states. Massive tax cuts for the wealthy (e.g., Reagan’s and Trump’s tax reforms). Opposition to minimum wage increases and universal healthcare. Deregulation that favored corporations over workers. Blocking efforts to expand affordable housing or regulate Wall Street. 🤝 Bipartisan Failures Some of the worst trends (like corporate consolidation, campaign finance loopholes, and underinvestment in public infrastructure) happened under both parties, often with bipartisan support. Many politicians, regardless of party, prioritized corporate donors and neoliberal economic models over the economic health of everyday Americans. 🧭 In Summary: Yes, Democrats have been complicit, especially during the Clinton and Obama eras, in enacting or supporting policies that contributed to middle-class erosion. But, to focus blame solely on Democrats ignores the larger bipartisan embrace of neoliberal economics from the 1980s onward.

I mean it’s hard because there is no control. Psychedelics just basically do what they want with you. Could be trauma healing or not. -

I think (but who knows) that many let’s say MaGa were so fed up with politics that they just wanted to throw a wrench. Because although Maga are crooks. It’s not like they are the root of evil. US supporting Israel no questions asked. Starting forever wars. Regime changes. Destroying the middle class. Unions. Moving jobs to Asia. Destroying movements. Rent getting unaffordable. Trying to destroy Bernie. Etc. is all before MagA.
