Intelligence, as any other force, is neither inherently good nor bad. Like attention, it magnifies what it touches. Focused on illusion, intelligence entraps you further. Focused on reality, intelligence intensifies the light of Consciousness. -

Thanks all, after reading through some of the descriptions I'm even more confused. https://personalityjunkie.com/09/infj-vs-infp-enfj-isfj-emotions-judgments/ If I had to order by function, for me it feels like: Introverted Intuition (Ni) Extraverted Intuition (Ne) Introverted Feeling (Fi) Extraverted Feeling (Fe) Introverted Thinking (Ti) Extraverted Thinking (Te) Introverted Sensing (Si) Extraverted Sensing (Se) The intuition thing is confusing me the most, because internal vs. external feels like a false differentiation. I experience it as all the same. -

Looking at the descriptions of Ni, Fe, Fi, and Ne, I am definitely Ni and Fi. Maybe that's why my J/P are closer, compared to the other 3 dimensions. -

Having a personality type is different from identifying with it. Enlightened people have personalities, too. -

Conceptual profundity is self-contradictory. There is no truth in concepts (including this one). Spiritual profundity is directly experienced, and difficult to describe with words. In other words, don't try discovering profundity outside of your own direct experience. -

Adding a question to the mix: Have any of you noticed your personality type change as a result of your spiritual journey? I have been an INFJ most of my life. Just took the test and I'm now an INFP (although J/P are closer than the others). I think the change from J to P is mostly because I am less hard on myself than I used to be. -

Gurus can be any personality type. This may be the most common though: -

@BipolarGrowth No dogma here, just direct experience. Any belief is just that. At best, it can point you toward the experience, but it can never be the experience. Lies don't become truths when they are revealed. They dissolve. If you have directly experienced God, you realize that it is infinite love, wisdom, light, and intelligence. These are God. These are you. There is no need to be a sixth density wanderer when you are already God. ? -

Good catch. Don't think the answer, realize it. -

The ego is the lie. It thrives on comparing itself to others. Don't let it fool you. It will always disappoint you. Diversity is its illusion. Love is its nemesis. You can still be Conscious in the dream, just don't identify with it too much. The Christ that you are is infinitely more beautiful and unconditional than anything you will find in the world of form. -

I feel that karma is simply the accumulation of our attentions. If we attend to the world of form, we identify with it and through it, and thus we magnify the ego. If we attend to Consciousness, in ourselves and in others, we magnify the light. Consciousness and unconsciousness are both contagious. It is attention turned inward, or outward, magnifying whatever it observes. -

@Keyhole beat me to it. Who is this "I" that is better than some other "I"? You are Christ, and so am I. -

God is unconditional love, and is completely free from fear. Is God an idea to you or have you directly experienced it? When you feel God in you, and in everyone else, the illusions that you suffered so long begin to dissolve. Unconditional love frees us from our own attachments, and frees others from the attachments we try to place on them. We realize God in ourselves, and we realize God in others. It is the only way to be free. Does that mean when you awake that you will hold a gun to your head and pull the trigger, because you are utterly fearless? Of course not. When you are awake, you have no desire to pull the trigger, so why would you? If you are trying to prove how fearless you are, that is just the ego posing as God. God loves you, and loves everyone else, unconditionally. God is fearless, and God is not a fool. -

There is no individual free will, but Consciousness exercises free will through the individual. -

Just finished watching it, thanks @Adamq8 In the last while, I have been resonating with identity being pure data. The phenomenal world is a variety of energy forms, but identity itself is pure data that interacts with, is grown by, and actually shapes these energy forms. The shaping of these forms, or its karma, in turn shapes the data bundle. Consciousness picks up one of these data bundles, and experiences phenomena through it, until the energy forms no longer sustain the bundle. The data bundle then goes dormant, until Consciousness picks it up again and matures it further. Personality is like a seed that is brought to life by sunlight, water, and air. Its data template dictates what it becomes, as it interacts with its environment, and in turn the template is shaped. At least in the phenomenal world, maybe the map is the territory. -

@Gesundheit Is it possible to love someone, whether yourself or others, without attachment to the outcome of that love? For example, I love my children without feeling attached to whether or not they reciprocate. It's nice when they do, but even if they didn't, I would still love them. What I've found is that I am able to love others better, the better I love myself. For quite a few years, when I suffered the most, I tended to cause suffering, especially for the people I loved. Things are better for the people I love now, since I suffer less. If you are not living in fear, but Consciously, do you think that could help you love your family better? People, especially our families, tend to catalyze unconsciousness, because of patterns that have been in place for a long time. That's why earlier I wondered if you might be able to practice Consciousness in a slightly easier setting, then gradually bring it to your family. You can't force people to be Conscious, but simply by being Conscious yourself, you are giving them the best chance to reciprocate. -

If I may ask, what do you see as the difference between attachment to your family and love for your family? What do you see as the difference between attachment to yourself and love for yourself? What do you see as the relationship between love for yourself and love for your family? -

Nice. Looking the devil in the face takes courage, integrity, and relentless will. Don't worry, love dissolves it. -
Moksha replied to Leo Nordin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Nordin All the best, bro. At some point, each of us has to find our own balance between being and doing. There are times when we are more immersed in one dimension than in the other, but either extreme tends to be unhealthy. You have your whole life ahead of you, make the most of it. -

This question goes to the heart of identity. I have been working through a lot of this myself. When you toss a stone into the sea of Consciousness, your realizations ripple outward. It can be disorienting. Everything you based your identity on begins to dissolve. 1. My person is an illusion. 2. The persons I love are also an illusion. 3. The entire world is an illusion. 4. What does morality mean? 5. Why does anything matter? For me, the solace has been returning to the core realization. I am Consciousness. When I realize Consciousness, what is it? Does Consciousness feel like an alien scientist that is spinning out energy forms in a sterile cosmic laboratory? Partly yes, but it is much more than that. Consciousness also feels infinitely abundant, and eternally brims with light and love. There is no hatred, evil, or suffering in it. These things only exist in the world of form, not because they are Conscious, but because they are Unconscious. The realization of Consciousness is the banishing of these things, and the battle between Consciousness and Unconsciousness goes forever. One cannot exist without the other, and both are inevitable, as long as Consciousness dreams. This morning, I was wondering why the Buddha, after his enlightenment, felt compassion for the world. He knew that the world is an illusion, including the people in it. Why feel compassion for a dream, with such ferocity that you are willing to leave Nirvana, and spend another 40 years loving characters in the dream? The Buddha knew that Consciousness created the world for a reason. People are not only dream characters; we are Consciousness itself, dreaming. Consciousness is divine. The creations it enlivens are its temple. We are not just abstract video characters; we are the divine experiencing its own creation. Sorry for the long answer, but it boils down to this. Realizing Consciousness frees you from fear, but not from responsibility. Waking up from the dream actually creates responsibility. Consciousness is committed to its creation, and it loves through you.
