Infinity is absolutely simple, it is the absence of limits. If the absence of limits is total, infinity perceives itself as absolutely empty, since it cannot be filled and everything into it fades until become nothingness. Its quality is that it exists, and perceiving itself as total existence is enlightenment. The forms are perceived as holograms without existence in themselves, but with the total depth of the unlimited. any other perception that is "more" is simply limited. nothing can be more than the total absence of limits -

It is normal to die at any time, to think that being enlightened will free you from accidents or illness is not to be enlightened. sadhguru implied that due to his condition he was invulnerable and had control over his destiny. The lesson in humility has been serious. I'm sure he will recover and be the same again, but a little more humble and less full of fantasies , would be good -

As I see It is a process that is underway and has a precise and perfect rhythm. I think it is obvious that the path is towards more conciousness, intelligence, solidarity and openness. If we were 100 years ago we would not be talking about spirituality but about politics, and 200 years ago we would be joining the Napoleonic army to demonstrate our virility in a cavalry charge, or chasing slaves. The human mechanism is of enormous, cosmic proportions. It is a movement in one direction, life always is. seeks greater complexity in its creation, perfect harmony at the highest possible level, but total destruction is always a possibility. -

Depends. If the 8 billion humans were focused on getting out of the ego and seeking enlightenment, the world would collapse. the world needs the push it has to go in the direction it is going. To think that we are smarter than reality is to not see the whole picture -

There are no false premises, we are the result of millions of years of evolution and what we have is absolute intelligence in action, and the ego is one of its most incredible works. To go from a rat hiding in its burrow to a being capable of sending artifacts to Mars in a few million years, millions of adjustments of absolute intelligence have been made. Fear is an indispensable ingredient, and all its derivatives, such as tribalism, greed, racism or war, have been essential. Without conflict the stew is not cooked, there would only be very peaceful and happy photosynthetic bacteria, but life pushes and its way of doing it is exactly what exists. If you want to be the master who knows the ego and deactivates it at will and identifies with total existence, you must understand what you are in a profound way, otherwise you will always be trapped. The game is merciless, its design is made to evolve or be crushed -

The ego is absolutely necessary, and fear too, if it were not necessary, it would not exist. Maybe in the future humans will reach a level of development where the ego is unnecessary, then it will disappear. In reality nothing is by chance or defective. If all humans were like Ramana Maharshi, humanity would have become extinct. Fear is the whip of evolution, since life is war. -

If you are awake, all that about being alone or if there are others is irrelevant, everything is forms of the absolute, the substance becomes relevant and the form goes into the background, you see perfection and intelligence flowing creating perfect forms. You are not alone since that is limited, everything is limitless, and its substance is unfathomable. The problem is that the psyche is very strong and again and again it will tip the balance towards the side of form, then the substance is lost from sight, everything becomes dark and perception is closed in and the energy becomes anxious, and the work to get out of the maze starts again. -

Who sais that it's unnecessary? If absolutely all the humans have one.... maybe the design of the infinite intelligence is not so wrong -

The ego is just a manifestation of the will of life to live. Same than the fangs in a tiger. The ego is as real as the fangs, and much more powerful -

Yeah but unity doesn't mean one, one is limited, unity isn't -

That's why guys like Hoffman who took LSD until old lived happy until he was 103, because he was in the present, there was no more for him. -

The self is part of the human, genetically programed. all humans who have ever existed had a self, and there have been many. It's not imaginary, it's real, same than the memory. There are real energetic patterns, neural pathways as solid as bones. -
Breakingthewall replied to TheGod's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That level of no ego would mean that you would not care if you lived or died, and there is always a preference for living, since otherwise you would not live. -

Just as a plant does the things it does, a human thinks. The plant, based on its genetics and given the circumstances, decides to approach the light of a window. A human, based on his genetics and given the circumstances, thinks: I'm going for a walk because the weather is good. Thought is the manifestation of what the human is, and the human is a being adapted to its changing circumstance, the same as the plant, only the human's circumstance changes faster. The human self is a manifestation of the movement of existence that it means to be human, and just as an ant decides to go right or left due to its genetic programming and the sum of all circumstances and learning, a human does the same when think: I'm going to buy cocaine -

If infinity is the case, there is no creator of reality. This is pure duality and false. In the infinite, creation is not necessary, since everything is. Infinity is in perpetual movement given its absence of limits, and that movement is the creation of forms. there is no will or cause, there is existence, but existence is intelligence because has no limits, so that movement is intelligent without limit -

Thought is the manifestation of the self, not its substance. The human self has a genetic basis, and develops in life in society, since humans are hive entities. -

The infinite given its infinity has infinite manifestations, infinite dimensions, which means that ultimately they are all unreal, since in comparison with the infinite they are zero. only infinity itself is real. It is the same to know a lot or a little, since you cannot know everything. But you can know what infinity is because it is you. So at the end, only the substance matters, because the form is a mirage, that disappear when it's confronted with the infinity -

Enlightenment has always been something concrete: identifying with existence, with your substance, your true self, call it whatever. with what makes plants grow, gravity attracts, stars burn, life is alive, etc. This is a fact, a reality. When this occurs, the form takes a backseat. It doesn't matter if you are a leper or if you are sentenced to life in a Russian prison, life or death. you are one with reality. This is not the infinite, but being infinite is its quality. It is existence, being, truth, you. The work is to be one with this, leave the accessory and get closer to the essential. To be one with the truth you must abandon the lie, the ego tricks, it's quite obvious The problem is searching in the wrong direction. The direction is inside, not outside. the essence, not the manifestation. Who cares about knowing or understanding if I am divided, blocked, alienated? The priority is opening myself totally, then let's explore. I think that no real understanding is possible if it's blockage, barriers. All understanding will be contaminated. -

5meo was the key for me, but it has the characteristic that it is violent and artificial. That is to say, I have very solid barriers that compartmentalize my experience, my perception, so with 5meo I destroy them for 5 minutes, but my whole being is pressing to create the barriers again, so there is an unbalanced, strange sensation, and there is a tendency to conceptualize. Absolutely useful and necessary but not an end in itself. For me, after making this break many times, the next step has been with low doses of weed, once weed does not make you think but you can meditate, achieving exactly the same effect, only more progressive and natural, the complete dissolution of limits, recognizing the pure existence that you are again and again, with the consequent return to contraction. Every time you do it you weaken your defenses, your being drifts a few degrees in that direction . Now the challenge is to get it sober. What is obvious is an overall experience, 24/7, totally different, fluid, with less anxiety by several orders of magnitude. once the reaction begins, it does not stop, there is only one end: the permanent total opening to reality, because it's obvious that we are that, anything else is twisted, anxious perception in more or less extent. -

The thing is, if you remove all the human thing, all the ideas, fear, barriers, what remains? It is exactly the same thing that makes a plant, or an alien, or a hydrogen molecule. There is no real difference between a hydrogen molecule and the alien with a brain the size of a galaxy, the only difference is quantitative, but that is irrelevant to what concerns us. Of course it is fascinating and I want to take LSD and open myself to the cosmos, but first you have to open yourself completely in the other direction, to limitless existence and recognize yourself in it. I can really do that after meditating for hours, it is a job that requires time, it is like separating two magnets, they attract and come back again and again, at first you achieve 1 second, then 1 minute, then your entire experience is more in that direction, but the inertia of a whole life push in the other direction, the identification, the limits. Spiritual work is opening up to the formless in an easy and regular way and identify yourself with that. to do this you have to eliminate the lie about yourself, or at least that's what I see, and understand how we set limits, then it becomes easier. It is not something that you can think about, I am nothing, etc., but something that you have to do, you have to take off all the limits from yourself until pure, bottomless existence remains. If you are totally open to the bottomless, there is no more, it is bottomless, without limit, then you are the same as the plant, the alien, the proton and anything else. From there you can focus on the other direction, the realization of the structures that existence forms, the dynamics of the cosmos, there are many awakenings in that, and they are all of enormous beauty, but without being clear about the first, they tend to madness. -

Exactly, You could say that any positive teaching is toxic. Only teachings that tell you what is false can be useful, those that tell you what is true cannot, I think are always obstacles -

@Davino The mind is programmed to go in the direction of "more." This is how life works, it is its drive, evolution, and our mind is a reflection of this. but there is no more to search once you open yourself to the absence of limits, total existence. At first it is extremely difficult to achieve it for a second, then you educate yourself to settle there since the rest is illusion, the mirage that life gives itself to create. you have to follow it, but knowing what it is. The mind rebels everytime, wants more, but it's a mistake, there is no more than everything . If you identify yourself with the existence, the form is irrelevant. Of course the inertia is enormous and any imbalance will make you identify with the form again, but then you realize the anxiety inherent to the identification with the form and you look for the freedom -
Breakingthewall replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I do not deny that possibility, I say that there is nothing that is more than the total limitlessness that exists. but when you realize that, you realize how this experience is a reflection of that, how it permeates everything, how the living abyss that is in all forms. But it doesn't matter a proton or a hyper-evolved Alien, in both of them existence shines completely. It does not shine more on an elephant than on a leaf, both are the totality -
Breakingthewall replied to r0ckyreed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes , the complexity of the forms can range from a proton to a multidimensional entity of unimaginable proportions, but both are essentially the same. Both are what you are, the total bottomless existence. It doesn't matter to you to perceive what an alien perceives millions of times more evolved than a human if you cannot open yourself to the total emptiness that exists. The form is wonderful, but what we should try is to open ourselves to the substance, and this, by definition, is independent from the form. -

If you realize the absolute, you also realize that it's the same one thing than another. Of course it's very difficult to be in this realization because it's almost impossible don't doing differentiations, but the thing it that it's the same a deeper realization that another less deeper. It's possible more clean, that means without the contamination of the form, but if it's totally clean, that's it. If you need to realize more depth, it's because it's not clean. If it's totally clean can't be cleaner. If you need to know things, how the things are, that is form, so relative, just what you should remove to have a cleaner realization of what you are. For that you have to realize that it's the same one thing or another, so you stop needing to know
