@Husseinisdoingfine Then perhaps you might want to wait with promoting psychedelics who knows, maybe you'll like other practices much better. -

@wildflower It has nothing to do with Buddhism. Buddhism is just one spiritual practice out of many. -

Enough of this nonsense... @WokeBloke Stop making these one sentence long posts. -
Look, climate science isn't some sort of new or edge field. It's been well established for more than 100 years. It's not like science about consciousness or quantum physics where there are multiple opinions and scientists aren't sure what it's all about, no. Denying climate science is like believing in flat earth, period.

@blankisomeone The number of books you read doesn't say jack about the quality of the books.

I don't even understand why he is (for some reason I suspect purposefully) being so grossly unscientific and insanely biased?? Has he fried his brain with the Benzos for good or what? What does he gain from that?

The sh*t JP said on JRE was absolutely appalling. The way he denied the severity and reality of climate change & how he celebrated fossil fuels and fracking was just disgusting. Probably the worst shit I've ever heard him say. "Make as many people rich as fast as possible" as a solution to climate change lol. That's what got us into this f*cking mess into the first place... Stay away from the political stuff, I can't stress this enough for JP.

@CuriousityIsKey Inspect direct experience. You have full access to 100% Truth right now - but you have to let go of your concepts, labels, definitions and beliefs about what consciousness is. Direct experience means unfiltered, unmediated, unclouded by concepts, labels, definitions and beliefs. -
It helped me with developing implicit thinking & intuition.

You may wish to ask where the flowers come from, But even the god of spring does not know. Sitting quietly, doing nothing, Spring comes, grass grows by itself. Taken from the Zenrin-kushū ( 禪林句集), I really like quoting from it. Great wisdom, still learning a lot. Creation is no-how. Lao Tsu speaks in the 25th chapter of the Daodejing about the Dao: 人 法 地 (rén fǎ dì) "Man aligns/orients himself with the earth" 地 法 天 (dì fǎ tiān) "Earth aligns/orients itself with the Heavens" 天 法 道 (tiān fǎ dào) "The heavens align/orient themselves with the Dao" 道 法 自 然 (dào fǎ zì rǎn) "The Dao is of it's own accord so" This last verse "Dào fǎ zì rǎn" (道法自然) is the important part because it means something like "The Dao is of itself so" (Ziran is the chinese word for nature, this is not an accident, given that Daoism is a philosophy of nature) - which is the same as spontaneity - which is also the same as no-how. Precisely. Nothing is needed. Infinity is infinity, HERE IT IS!!! -

Leo doesn't have to be clear on anything. Stop treating him like an authority and start to reclaim your own authority. When Leo says "you are alone" that doesn't mean sh*t to you, even when he "explains" it, because you lack your own validation. Nobody is going to validate anything for you, you gotta do it yourself. -

What might kick in after experiencing Truth, is doubt. Doubt is a function of mind. When there is no mind, there is no doubt. The only way you can be certain of Truth is by directly accessing it. The mistake would be to try to subject Truth to doubt and then to look for an answer that comes as a result of this doubt. Because whatever answer you will come up with that way, it won't be the Truth. Because Truth is beyond mind. Beyond interpretation. Beyond any box. You cannot doubt Truth. Truth is utterly and completely beyond and outside of the grasp of doubt. The potential for delusion extremely high of course. But only so long as there is mind. No mind = no delusion Unfortunately, the mind is extremely subtle and sneaky and will always find a way of making itself invisible to itself, so that it appears as if the interpretation one comes up with is Truth. But Truth is not subject to interpretation. That is why Lao Tse said that the Dao that can be uttered is not the eternal Dao. That is where language fails completely. There is no fool proof way, that's the reality of it. Just keep doing the work, try to be intelligent & stay humble. -

Oen could say that so long as there is life, there is war. Because life is the maintaining of a particular form at the cost of other forms. The less form there is, the less wars can be fought over these forms. When for example two countries (two forms) decide to unite into one country, there are no two countries left now who could go to war against each other. That's basically how all nations were founded, many tribes or peoples who used to always wage wars against each other in order to maintain their tribe (form), one day decided to unite into one gigantic tribe - and a nation was born. The tribes are gone, and with them, the possibility of them fighting against each other. When all countries have disappeared, they can't fight against each other. When the division among people into races or genders is gone, and humanity finally recognizes itself as one tribe, one family, there will be no more racism or sexism. But that's still a loooong way to go. Humanity is in the dark ages.

Doesn't sound like you are conscious that you are God. Oh come on Leo, do you know how arrogant that sounds? So what she's not conscious of herself as God? What's wrong with being content with not being conscious of it? Don't give me the same answer now -
Tim R replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Of course you do - gotta stop thinking -

Imagine there was a person who was raised in front of a mirror. All he ever knows is the reflections inside of this mirror, but he doesn't know anything about there being a mirror (or "reflections"), he just sees the image and that's it. And he thinks that's reality. How would you make him see the mirror itself? If all that he can see is the images? The funny thing is of course, that he is and was looking at the mirror all along. There never was anything but the mirror, but he didn't / doesn't see it. What needs to happen, is that he breaks the hypnosis that he was raised with, which is the attachment to the image in the mirror. When he stops clinging to the forms in the mirror, he might notice that there is something "underlying". Something that never changes, that doesn't stick, that is nowhere, everyhwere, without color or shape, which doesn't interfere, which is neither in the background nor in the forground, which is infinitely subtle and yet the most present thing there is. You see, in a sense, the reflections are the only way for him of becoming aware of the mirror. For without them, what would there be? Consciousness is like a mirror that doesn't only reflect colors and shapes, but that reflects absolutely everything that you can be aware of, all sensory input. It contains everything and therefore is nothing - and everything. It's a lot more tricky for you to become "aware of awareness". You can't really turn awareness around to look at itself - but you don't have to. Because you are it!! Your reflection in the mirror doesn't have to try to look at the mirror. It is it! You see? The mistake would be to look for more reflections. To look for more content. Let the content go. Let the body go. You are the mirror. -
Tim R replied to Mixcoatl's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Awareness is not only everywhere, it is also nowhere. I know, it's a really sticky and persistent illusion that awareness is sort of "attached to the body", it seems that you always carry it around with yourself, perhaps inside your head, behind your eyes and between the ears. The body is "inside" awareness. When I say "inside", I don't mean that in a literal, spacial sense, or that awareness is somehow "outside" of your body. Awareness both contains and is your body - and everything else, for that matter. It's like when you look into a mirror, whatever you see "in there" is the mirror, but the mirror itself is not the image, the mirror hasn't changed, unlike the color and shapes that you see in the mirror. The mirror is that which is always "behind" everything that's going on. The image you see inside the mirror is the mirror, but the mirror is not the image. Just in the same way as it would be absurd to say that the mirror is attached to or dependent on the reflections inside it, so it is with awareness. It is not attached to the body - and your body is also not attached to it. Awareness contains everything in the same way as the mirror does. -

You're conflating the relative with the absolute. There's no wanting this over that, nothing is better than anything else.
