  1. The colors aren't strict categories. The question is not "are you this or are you that" but rather "which colors are you to what degree?". Spiral dynamics describes a spectrum that is representative for the state of development of your values. Blue and Yellow are pretty far apart from each other and don't comply. You can't like and dislike the same thing simultaneously. Equally, you can't hold two opposing values at once. You can't be dogmatic and open-minded at the same time, you see? It's something like this: when you build a house, you set the ground stones. Those are e.g. blue and orange. Then you keep building until your house is more or less complete and you're at yellow - there, in a sense, the ground stones themselves have disappeared and what is there now instead is the house. But you can't build a proper house when your ground stones are all crooked and out of place, in other words; when the aren't integrated - therefore you will probably never get to a healthy or well-developed state yellow in the first place. Which is why you won't find yellow and blue at the same time. You can get away with being mostly orange without having properly integrated blue, but only because they are so close to each other. Yellow understands blue and can see though its eyes, but in a detached way. Without thinking that this is the right way of looking at the world. So you won't find a nationalist yellow person, only someone who understands why somebody else is a nationalist.
  2. I don't think you can compare Covid and its severe consequences with a stupid ass movement like QAnon.
  3. Some people say they're archetypes, what do you think about that? Why should DMT open the doorway to a realm inhabited by other entities?
  4. In moments like these I can really understand why Osho looked at politics the way he did...
  5. @The Don What God-given rights? Liberty must be touched when people misuse it to touch other peoples liberty. That's where liberty goes full circle. Nobody forced Trump to tweet from his golf range. If you're going to use my platform, I am perfectly free to control the platform. Liberty u wanted, liberty u got.
  6. What do you guys think? Delusional? Definitely. Psychopath? Probably to some extent, yes. Why can't they declare him unfit for his job? Who would diagnose him?
  7. That would create a bubble so incredibly shielded from the world, it's gonna be a last resort for those who believe Trump to be their president no matter what. A place where MAGA can flourish and either become no threat at all because it's more or less underground or a real threat - in the sense that they could attempt to infiltrate/undermine existing structures. They'd become radicalized if they aren't already.
  8. Man, I really liked the scene with the cow, the cricket and Gepetto. The cow is the best. I set a timestamp Does somebody of you know who all these dudes are? I could only recognize Shapiro and Copeland
  9. @mmKay This is f*cking incredible, thank you for sharing!!
  10. In Leo's video "Outrageous Experiments in Consciousness" he said: "For the first time in my life I said 'thank you'. I realized that I've said 'thank you' thousands of times in my life, but it was all perfunctory. It was all just mindless 'thank you'." I found that very moving and would really love to hear you elaborate on the topic of gratitude.
  11. @DocWatts They could spend twice as much, doesn't matter in the least.
  12. Oh, look! "[...] it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!" Really? Is he saying that he will run again in 4 years?
  13. @StarStruck It is most certainly not like that. It takes 2 minutes of research to find out that you maybe shouldn't do psychedelics if you suspect your psyche to be fragile or unstable. There's always gonna be people who aren't cautious enough and therefore screw up somehow, but that's on them. Don't blame others. Leo doesn't give anybody "a gun". He talks about his experiences with psychedelics and gives advice.
  14. And what's Leo supposed to do about that? In the end it's completely their own responsibility.
  15. I think doubt is the most effective tool on a conceptual level, paired with direct experience.
  16. Haha, he was tripping in his living room listening to Mozart, great!?? It's a real pity that he doesn't just come right out saying that he dropped 150µ or however much it was. Boy the world would benefit so much if he'd become a bit more of a hippie, I already said it and I'll keep saying it goddammit!
  17. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-resignations-25th-amendment/2021/01/07/e131ce10-50a3-11eb-bda4-615aaefd0555_story.html https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/06/politics/trump-capitol-impeachment-25-amendment/index.html https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/533058-officials-discussing-25th-amendment-for-trump-following-violence-at Looks like impeachment is being discussed.
  18. @Intraplanetary "Physical body" and "human" are also just ideas. Both are thoughts, both are illusions.
  19. How many republicans do you think who used to believe in the fraud are now convinced otherwise? Because the rest is still on the authoritarian side then.
  20. @Leo Gura Oh man, that's a pretty grave position. Why do you go that far? I mean, he will have a severe existential crisis and whatnot for sure, but killing himself? Seems a bit too much. @JosephKnecht I also think he had some experiences, probably with psychedelics rather than without - his mind would've never shut up on its own, he's too caught up in concepts. But I also think that he interpreted them in a Judeo-Christian context. You know, how Christians drop acid and see Jesus Christ, I guess he had a similar experience, but as you said, he doesn't want to lose his respectability as an intellectual. Which is why he so ungracefully stumbles around ideas concerning divinity with his rational-scientific, existentialist and phenomenological approach.
  21. No, the only reason those people became violent is because they can't express themselves in any other way. It's ideology pushed to a toxic and dangerous degree.
  22. Don't know where you live but in Germany policemen don't shoot because it means an absolute shitton of bureaucracy and legal consequences for them lol (and because we're more civilized of course)
