  1. At this point I feel that it almost doesn't matter who says what - because people will take sides; are you rep or are you dem? And then most people will simply dismiss whatever the other side has to say (even more so the current republican side for obvious reasons), even if a commission is established, MAGA supporters will not accept that Trump lost. No of conclusive proof or information will satisfy them. Every reasonable person thinks critically (of this election), of course - but the system is to be trusted, otherwise: why bother having one? Unreasonable people won't be persuaded though, and no commission will change that. Those who never trusted in elections and/or democracy are in a real dilemma: if elections are rigged, then the outcome is rigged no matter who wins, and if democracy isn't to be trusted - why are you still here then?
  2. His life is based on being this way. Unless he gets out of his bubble, you're right, he won't be saved. But why should he bother? The country is deeply split and polarized, many folks, including him, leech off this.
  3. Bro they aren't like white peacocks, you an find them basically anywhere. As Leo said, not every conservative gets fooled by MAGA.
  4. Definitely. To say that he doesn't think conservatives in the US are any different from the KKK just shows his own deep ignorance. That's no better than being a radical ideologue who doesn't care to think.
  5. To look at another person and wonder "is he also conscious? Or is he just appearing to be there?" is like looking in a mirror at yourself and asking "I wonder if he is also conscious? Or is he just appearing to be there?" All people are like your reflection in the mirror. There's no difference between your reflection and "your" consciousness looking at its own reflection. If you understand that, solipsism immediately seizes to be an issue. Because there's no "you". It's lovely
  6. What is openmindedness "made of"? Because it could actually be possible. If it's for example a mixture between lack of fear, curiosity and intelligence, we could actually create people who are more openminded. Question is "will it comply with the law?" and I'm afraid I know the answer to that one
  7. What do you think about this?
  8. Yes. People who want absolute freedom don't seem to understand that it's equivalent to "no restrictions". And "no restrictions" not a sustainable state of affairs. I think that's also where stage red transitions into blue, since red is so keen on living the lawless, warrior-individualist life, until it gets out of hand like in the video about Liberia, and then law and order need to be instantiated.
  9. That's not real open-mindedness though. That's simply "I want to hear something about this and nothing about that". What I meant was that your values can't oppose each other when they are as far apart from each other as fro example blue and yellow or red and green. You can't be a Hippie and a Warlord simultaneously because both hold (strongly) opposing values. Of course people have opposing values, but that's because they aren't properly conscious of either one of them. If you'd formulate your values (which is what you do in therapy, I assume) you become conscious of your values and find out that they might contradict each other to some extent. The more conscious you become, the more transparent do your values become to yourself.
  10. @Yamak9889 I like the presentation. I'm in my last year as a biology student and I'll graduate in (probably) biochemistry this year. I also plan to somehow connect my degree with psychedelics, mysticism and nonduality. I'm also not quite sure yet if I'll add a master's degree or PhD, but it's probably useful especially because then you have it easier and people respect you more in the scientific community. Where do you study?
  11. You won't get rid of stupidity in human beings anyway, ever.
  12. The colors aren't strict categories. The question is not "are you this or are you that" but rather "which colors are you to what degree?". Spiral dynamics describes a spectrum that is representative for the state of development of your values. Blue and Yellow are pretty far apart from each other and don't comply. You can't like and dislike the same thing simultaneously. Equally, you can't hold two opposing values at once. You can't be dogmatic and open-minded at the same time, you see? It's something like this: when you build a house, you set the ground stones. Those are e.g. blue and orange. Then you keep building until your house is more or less complete and you're at yellow - there, in a sense, the ground stones themselves have disappeared and what is there now instead is the house. But you can't build a proper house when your ground stones are all crooked and out of place, in other words; when the aren't integrated - therefore you will probably never get to a healthy or well-developed state yellow in the first place. Which is why you won't find yellow and blue at the same time. You can get away with being mostly orange without having properly integrated blue, but only because they are so close to each other. Yellow understands blue and can see though its eyes, but in a detached way. Without thinking that this is the right way of looking at the world. So you won't find a nationalist yellow person, only someone who understands why somebody else is a nationalist.
  13. I don't think you can compare Covid and its severe consequences with a stupid ass movement like QAnon.
  14. Some people say they're archetypes, what do you think about that? Why should DMT open the doorway to a realm inhabited by other entities?
  15. In moments like these I can really understand why Osho looked at politics the way he did...
  16. @The Don What God-given rights? Liberty must be touched when people misuse it to touch other peoples liberty. That's where liberty goes full circle. Nobody forced Trump to tweet from his golf range. If you're going to use my platform, I am perfectly free to control the platform. Liberty u wanted, liberty u got.
  17. What do you guys think? Delusional? Definitely. Psychopath? Probably to some extent, yes. Why can't they declare him unfit for his job? Who would diagnose him?
  18. That would create a bubble so incredibly shielded from the world, it's gonna be a last resort for those who believe Trump to be their president no matter what. A place where MAGA can flourish and either become no threat at all because it's more or less underground or a real threat - in the sense that they could attempt to infiltrate/undermine existing structures. They'd become radicalized if they aren't already.
  19. Man, I really liked the scene with the cow, the cricket and Gepetto. The cow is the best. I set a timestamp Does somebody of you know who all these dudes are? I could only recognize Shapiro and Copeland
  20. @mmKay This is f*cking incredible, thank you for sharing!!
  21. In Leo's video "Outrageous Experiments in Consciousness" he said: "For the first time in my life I said 'thank you'. I realized that I've said 'thank you' thousands of times in my life, but it was all perfunctory. It was all just mindless 'thank you'." I found that very moving and would really love to hear you elaborate on the topic of gratitude.
  22. @DocWatts They could spend twice as much, doesn't matter in the least.
  23. Oh, look! "[...] it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!" Really? Is he saying that he will run again in 4 years?
